Boogie Woogie India, Since 2001
BOOGIE WOOGIE INDIA, Powered by Star, Registration No. 1557/09/10 (Govt. of Bihar), is a non-profitable Public Event Organization & Management Team.
We plan, organize and execute events and entertainment shows, which provides an opportunity, atmosphere and platform to the general public of rural areas to showcase their art and skills in special occasions at free of costs.
Since there were no such platforms for general public talent in rural areas in that era, Mr. Zafar Kamal, a resident of Village Bhada, laid its foundation in year 2001 and organized a group dance competition in a flamboyant festive atmosphere on auspicious occasion of Deshhara at Jamo Bazar, District Siwan, Bihar. Encouraged by its success and popularity, he created the BWI management team to promote and organize such cultural and artistic shows every year. Now, we approximately 50 members of the BWI team carry forward this legacy to our next generation.
One of the primary goals of this dance event is to showcase and promote local dance talent. By providing a platform for emerging artists alongside established performers, we aim to celebrate the diversity and creativity within our local dance scene.
Another key objective is to foster collaboration and networking among dancers. By bringing together artists from various genres and backgrounds, we aim to encourage cross-pollination of ideas and styles, leading to innovative dance collaborations.
Above all, we strive to create unforgettable experiences for our participants and attendees. Whether through electrifying live performances, immersive workshops, or interactive public shows, our goal is to captivate and inspire audiences, leaving them with long lasting memories.
From Founder’s Desk
Dear friends, In our beloved India, villages are treasure troves of culture, art and heritage. Notwithstanding the less opportunity of exposure, the magic nurtures not just in the festivities – but in the everyday moments. Whether it's gathering around a bonfire under the starry sky or sharing stories and memories over a cup of tea at stalls. Boogie Woogie India came forward in an era where there were no widespread television, social media or mobile or any other means through which people of rural areas could enjoy entertainment or be able to participate in a cultural program. First of its kind, founded in 2001, BWI provided a platform and creates an atmosphere for the people of local society to showcase the celebration and their dance skills as well as develop their personalities in a competitive sports spirit. Now, we are celebrating our Silver Jubilee Episode in 2025. This is to carry forward the legacy to encourage, promote, evaluate, appreciate and reward the art and dance participants, including recreation and general public entertainment and to create a healthy and friendly environment within the local society I strongly urges you all to support, assist, cooperate, help and encourage our BWI team to make our events successful, entertaining and unforgettable same as you did in last occasions in all our previous years and enable us to plan further with more exciting values and ideas to entertain you. Get ready to immerse yourself in a world where every celebration is a feast for the senses.

I had performed in 2001 as a participant when the program was firstly introduced in our place. As a teenager, I was so amazed and excited. Due to wonderful structure of this competitive dance program, my parents permitted me to participate. And now I am a part of this family. I feel very proud when people of all religions come together during Dussehra and make it more entertaining then ever before. This is beauty of India. As an event director, I always welcome the one who wants to join our Boogie Woogie India family.

Whenever it comes to culture, literature, art or dance, the name of India comes first and when it comes to dance in many districts of Bihar, people first take the name of Boogie Woogie India, in a way it has become a brand. The talent living in villages has got a place through this platform, which is merely provided. Being an event manager, I would like to say that people have always given love. If we keep getting such support and love, then we will always try to make the upcoming programs even better.

Project DirectorCulture and dance are an integral part of the social life of the village, expressing the traditions, values and identity of the people living there. In rural communities, culture is often closely linked to land, work and daily activities and various forms of dance reflect these relationships. But there is no platform in the village where villagers can showcase their talent, but Boogie Woogie India has been giving people a platform since 2001. I am working with great desire to take this platform forward and will continue to do so.

ChairmanEven before joining Boogie Woogie India, whenever I have watched these programs as a viewer, I have been deeply impressed by the ideas and efforts behind it. I salute each and every team member of Boogie Woogie India from the bottom of my heart. My idea has always been to promote art and sports in rural areas, since there is a lot of talent in villages but there is a lack of platform, to some extent Boogie Woogie India has tried to overcome this lack in the field of art, I am truly grateful to be the chairperson of this silver jubilee episode. Thank you all for your continued love.
