Mummy Championships This week it was Disco special called “Disco Mamma”. Before the show could start there was a clipping shown where there was a heated argument between mummy’s especially between Ripanpreet and Ritu Gupta. This clipping disclosed more information of what was going on between the mummy’s which Boogie Woogie has handled it fabulously. I am really glad they showed the clipping of not so pleasant moments between the mothers which were handled well and respectfully by Boogie Woogie keeping the show’s dignity intact.

Sayli Desai1 The first mother to dance on Friday night was Saili Desai who made a grand entry on the stage with the lights on her costume. She danced on medley starting with “Saara zamana” to “koi kahe kahta rahe”. The effect with the tube light dancing was awesome. Saili performed a very energetic dance and showed her capabilities in adapting outside her comfort area. It was one excellent performance and I loved watching it. The after performance talk was hilarious when she said she narrates rotten poems when she wants to trouble someone and then there was a flood of rotten shers both from the judges as well as from Saili. She received good compliments from the judges on her performance.

Deepa Singh1 The next mother to perform was Deepa Singh who came in wearing a hot pink costume and gave a superb performance on Usha Uthup’s number “Raat mein joh nasha hai”. Her steps were too cute and the beats and remixing of the music was superbly done. Boo dancers added extra charm to the performance. I loved the way they mixed the R D Burman track in between and also the lighting arrangement. Everything was 10 on 10. The after performance talk brought compliments for Deepa especially from Ravi when he said she looked like a 12 year old kid. Deepa also talked about how wearing a jeans can change the attitude in a person and how it helped her in performing her piece. She aspired to take the costume home with her to which judges were pretty generous and said its a gift for her. She also performed a ramp walk in style on Boogie Woogie stage displaying her confidence and personal growth. It is so amazing to see the change in mummys from day one to this episode. The funny part was when she requested judges not to ask her any question that can put her in trouble. She showed couple of steps of Mithun Chakraborthy and said he is her favorite disco dancer. Jaaved Jaaffery gave good compliments to her saying she absorbed herself well in her performance and and her expressions were good.

Darshana Kohli1 The third mother that performed was Darshana Kohli who made a grand entry as well beating the drums on a moving stage. Her entry was unique and picks your interest instantly. She danced on song “Pyar karne waale” from movie Shaan. Darshana wore an attractive costume in red, pink and blue color. The florescent effects that were used were great. Her closure was cool. Jaaved felt that she was dancing in tension and asked her why was she in tension. Darshana informed that she was little nervous as she was dancing outside her comfort area and wasn’t too sure if she could carry it out well. Watch Jaaved sing the “Mumbhai” song at this point and Ravi and Naved narrated couple of shers.

Ripanpreet Sidhu1 The next mother to perform was Ripanpreet Sidhu who wore a black and red color outfit. She looked like a million bucks – very attractive! Ripan danced on song “Super dancers aye hain”. Ripanpreet is pretty comfortable in modern dances and so she gave a good performance showing her comfort level. Her expressions were great. The disco lights that were used added charm to her performance. The after performance talk was funny. Judges asked her a question if she would like to stay with her husband for all seven janams to which she replied, she feels like staying with her husband for all janams only when he is good to her and when he gets angry on her, she feels just one life with him is more then enough. Ripan also talked about her being upset for couple of days but said she is very happy now and is giving her all to her performance. I really would like to talk about her and the rift that has happened on Boogie Woogie stage, lets discuss it tomorrow!

Ritu Gupta1 The last mother to dance was Ritu Gupta who wore a black outfit and made a beautiful entry on the stage. Her makeover was just fabulous and must applaud Boogie Woogie team for doing such wonderful job on these mothers. Boo dancers – FABULOUS!!! Ritu was very stylish and confident and came in with the right attitude that is needed for her performance. She danced on song “mere dil gaye ja zubi zubi zubi”. I absolutely loved the way they mixed “Brown girl in the ring” song in her performance. This song is one of my favorite song too and takes me to my school age when my singing teacher use to make my class sing almost everyday the same song and so Ritu’s performance brought many nostalgic feelings. Another observation that is must is the way when music changes to faster track - watch the coordination and dancing steps – they were beautiful. The after performance talk was mainly about the rift that occurred between Ritu and Ripan. Ritu did speak her mind saying she is not a show off neither wants to pretend falsely on stage that everything is good between her and Ripan. If she doesnt have good feeling towards her she really doesn’t have to act goody goody with her. Judges tried to sort the fight and some of the comments from judges were: Ravi “Boogie Woogie mein dosti panapti hai”, Javed: “Yeh Boogie Woogie hai yaha par pyar badta hai”, Naved: “Acha hamesha jodta hai bura thodta hai”. Well said judges!! Coming back to Ritu’s performance, Jaaved gaved good compliments saying she maintained the tempo and looked comfortable.

With this judges sang the song “Disco 82” and winded the Friday nights episode on a good note.

Mummy Championships It all started with Mummy’s stopping the show and looked like they were ready for an argument, I said “YES!! some spice ;) “ but then it all turned out to be a teaser to tie the rakhi’s to the Boogie Woogie judges – Javed, Naved and Ravi. On August 1st, Mummy’s celebrated Raksha Bandhan by tying rakhi to the judges and making them their brother. We do hope all these sisters and their brothers will remember this relationship and will honor it throughout their life. The funny part was when judges were dancing the steps of “walk like an Egyptian” on “bhaiya mere rakhi ke bandhan ko nibhana” song. All mummy’s received gifts from the judges for tying them rakhi’s. It was one of the cute thing to watch in long time.

Ravi and Naved Mummy’s visited Ravi and Naved family and got their childhood stories and pictures. Don’t miss it – it was awesome. Looking at their families and listening to them, one can tell that the entire family is kind, humble and loving and listening to their conversation, it also reveals the secret of who was the naughtiest among the three judges ;)

Neelu Rai1 The first mommy to dance on Saturday night was Neelu Rai who came in as Jeetendra. She wore white shirt, pant with a red color scarf and imitated Jeetender very well.  The best part of her performance was when she danced around the flower bed. Naved was very appreciative and complimented her with the “best dance so far” words. Javed and Naved posed like Jeetender and Sridevi and guided Neelu and her husband to pose in similar fashion with a twist making Neelu as “Jeetender” and her husband as “Sridevi”. It sure was funny to watch.

Shilpa Joshi1 The next mother to perform was pretty Shilpa Joshi who picked Sharukh Khan to imitate as. She danced on medley starting with song “Aashiq hu mein” from movie Badshah. Shilpa wore black coat, pant with white color scarf. Her face looked better version of Shahrukh Khan but the clothes that were given to her were little loose and didn’t match Shahrukh Khan style. The best part of her performance was when the track changes to Mohabatien track and the way boo dancer helped in giving the leafy touch, they surely add charm to the performance. The after performance talk informed that judges were not too impressed with Shilpa’s performance. Ravi thought it still had the girly touch to it. Javed felt the energies were less in compared to what it should have been.

Sabah Bari1 The third mummy to dance was Saba Bari who came in as Hritik Roshan. She entered the stage as “Thakur” (Sanjeev Kumar) of Sholay movie without hands and Boo dancers teasing her. She performed good tap dance there and then the track changes and so does she into Hritik Roshan making her dance on “Kaho na Pyar hai” song. Even though judges appreciated and loved the Sanjeev Kumar entry and the boo dancers teasing her, I honestly did not understand the relationship between Sanjeev Kumar and Hritik Roshan. Maybe the concept was explained to the judges but then they surely failed to convey the message to the audience. I thought it was lame concept that came out first time from Sumit and Vinod gharana unless they were trying to say that Sanjeev Kumar was reborn as Hritik Roshan but then I really dont know if this should be considered as a compliment for Sanjeev Kumar or for Hritik Roshan . Anyway Saba got great compliments from the judges but Jaaved did mention “thoda jald baazi ho gayi thi” as his comment. Saba wished to share her trophy with Sonia if she wins the grand prize. She did ask Ravi to share the story behind the 28 eggs omelet and it was one of the funniest story!

At this point a clipping was shown where mothers are fighting and yelling at each other. Though the clipping was short but lets discuss it in another article in detail :D

Sonia Dias1 The next mother to perform was Sonia Dias who came in as Prabhudeva. I loved the start of her performance – it was too cute. She wore a yellow shirt, black pant and danced on a regional number. All her steps were totally entertaining – something that makes your eyes glued to the screen. Boo dancers too added lots of charm to this performance but at the same time Sonia made an equal effort to match with their energies. She surely must be making a big place in viewers heart  with her talent. Sonia got compliments from the judges and Jaaved was the one who came with the best words for her. Looks wise, judges felt she looked a mixture of Prabhudeva, Sachin and Gabbar. Must watch!!

Ripanpreet Sidhu1 Now was the turn of Ripanpreet to perform who came in as Akshay Kumar. She wore black pant, gray shirt with black pagdi. Her entry on the stage was good and she looked good as a sardar. Ripanpreet danced on song “Singh is King”. I personally feel, Akshay’s song “Singh is King” doesn’t have much dancing that it should be a choreographers choice to make their dancers dance to it where as there are many other better numbers of Akshay that could have used. Maybe it would have been a better choice if they got her as Jaaved Jaaffery dancing on his version of “Singh is King” as his version had good dancing steps. Anyway she passed her test as far as judges were concerned as they liked her performance. In the after performance talk, judges tried to sort the differences that were cropping up among the mothers. Naved tried his best to be the good Samaritan and made mothers hug to clear the differences and spoke words of wisdom.  More on this topic in separate article.

Shilpa Joshi1 The unfortunate mother to get eliminate was Shilpa Joshi. She took the results very sportingly and smiled all way through. We wish her all the very best and sure do hope to see her back on Boogie Woogie stage real soon!!

Mummy Championships Friday night episode brought lots of laugh, entertainment and great talent display again on Boogie Woogie sets. The challenge that was set by the judges to prove themselves in a different avatar depicting as men came out very well entertaining the evening. But before that Ravi and Naved spoke about if they were females, how they would behave and also pulled each others legs. There was one question that was asked to all Mummy’s “Who is the naughtiest judge among three” and the common opinion turn out in Naved’s favor. We think this is a very interesting question so lets put a poll tomorrow to see what you all think ;)

Deepa Singh1 The first mother to perform was Deepa Singh who picked Pran to depict as and she danced on song “Yaari hai imaan mera” and was looking a perfect Pran. Deepa was dressed in a gray color pathaani suit. Her dance with red and yellow scarfs and also with sword was too cute. Her dance was fast paced and refreshes the yesteryears golden hit song in your minds. The after performance talk was funny.

The second mother to dance tonight was Harpreet Kaur who came in as Govinda and danced to the tunes of “Saatho Janam”. She was dressed up in orange color dhoti kurta which complimented Govinda’s song and Harpreet Kaur1energies. Harpreet’s dance steps were cute especially with change in music “gori ka makaan” song, her steps got better. The Boo dancer who came in as a girl was too entertaining, it actually added lots of charm and strength to Harpreet’s performance. Sumit and Vinod were called upon stage and were appreciated for their concept. The after performance talk especially the question, “what would you do if the final winner results in a tie” came with an extremely funny answer from Harpreet when she said “Trophy rakhlo, gaadi or paise dedo”.

The next mother to perform was Saili Desai who came in as Dada Kondke and this performance took the cake and the icing for Friday night. We will have to see if there would be anyone who would beat her performance Sayli Desai1tomorrow but definitely you don’t want to miss this performance where ever it is available. She surely gets all my votes ;) Saili was dressed in white shirt, gray shorts with long naada hanging with white topi and she also wore a white dot on her forehead with thin moustache. Saili’s dance was carried with all the entertainment. Her steps were too funny which represents Dada Kondke’s spirit. I am sure if Dada Kondke was alive today he would have been very happy but anyway this was a beautiful tribute to the actor. dada kondke The after performance talk was also carried with same hilarious moments. Saili was asked a question “what is the difference between a naada and a naari” and to that she replied “naada ghoom sakta hai naari ghoomati hai”. When judges complimented Saili for her performance, she went emotional talking about the master choreographers who supported her and also put enough confidence in her performance. Watch Naved speak words of encouragement and Ravi supporting his statement. They both appreciated Mummy’s ability to adapt outside their own comfort level and give performances up to the par.

The next mother to perform was Geeta Soni who came in as Shashi Kapoor. She danced on a very popular song Geeta Soni1“Affoo Qudaa” and this was a perfect song on Mohd. Rafi’s death anniversary. Geeta wore a gray color pathaani suit with black jacket. She threw in a very adorable performance and was very entertaining. Her Shashi Kapoor style and expressions were great. The after performance talk was as expected funny but I must say Shashi Kapoor is not that old old that one doesn’t remember his movies. Shashi Kapoor gave plenty of entertaining and fabulous movies that one should remember at tip of their tongue unless one does not watch movies at all.

The next mother who performed on Booge Woogie show was Darshana Kohli who came in as Salman Khan. I think Salman must get to see this performance which was cute and entertaining. Darshana danced on Salman’s popular songs “You my love” and “Jeene ke hai chaar din”. She Darshana Kohli1threw in many Salman steps and made her performance very entertaining. Darshana wore black shirt and jacket with blue color jeans. She looked like a khaate peete ghar ka Salman which should definitely bring a smile on Salman’s face upon seeing this version of him. The dancing with the girls was fabulous. The attempt to dance with the towel was good. But if she was wearing a body suit that is available in market with muscles along with jeans, it would have added lots of charm ( you know like the one that was sported in Comedy Circus depicting Aamir Khan, something like that.) The after performance talk was hilarious with the judges but let me go little off board here and talk about Salman. Many talk about Salman taking his shirt off frequently and think it to be a bad habit. Though Salman started the trend long time ago but today you will find many other actors who have surpassed him in taking their clothes off especially if you watch movie Dostana, you will know what I am talking about. But speaking of his nature and attitude, I personally had a very pleasant talk with Salman and I am a BIG PROUD fan of him. He is salman-khanjust FABULOUS… you go in front of him, he will make you feel very comfortable and just like your own family. There is no ego or hassles especially when he deals with “us” common people. You approach him in midst of his busy schedule, he still treats you with same amount of respect and love. You will find many Bollywood actors who does charity but you will never find anyone apart from Salman who inspires his fans in doing charity. There are many groups who are running full fledged working 24/7 in helping others and its only because Salman has inspired them to do so. Media never talks about this. December 27th is called the Donation day among his fans as many million of his fans get together and put any money they can afford for donations and send it  across to many charity homes because it’s Salman birthday. No wonder God is with him blessing and so is his fan base intact and untouched for more then 20 plus years! This blog is a big fan of those who believe in being human and just like we adore Javed, Naved and Ravi, we adore Salman and we do hope to see all four under the same roof some day soon! Amen!!

The last mother to perform on Boogie Woogie Friday night was pretty Ritu Gupta who came in as Mithun Chakraborthy. She wore a silver color costume and started off her performance with style tapping her feet Ritu Gupta1on beats. Ritu danced on song “Dekha hai maine tumhe phirse palatke”. She had great expressions and copied many of Mithun Da’s steps well. Her rotation on one hand, reading the newspaper lying on the floor and dragging her body along with flying kisses in the end were all cute. Ritu gave Mithun Da a salute in her after performance talk. Judges gave good compliments for her performance and also for her “dance like no one watching” attitude. She also said she will share her prize with Deepa as she became a good friend with her if she end up winning the ultimate crown of Mummy’s Championship.

spices There were clippings of Mummy’s fighting and arguing that were shown which are for tomorrow. One could hear a Mummy saying “Shut Up” to another mummy and one mummy was closing her ears not to listen the counter argument. There were clippings of some hot arguments which are part of tomorrow’s episode and I think should be MUST WATCH. Spice adds lots of charm to any evening especially when one has to witness some hot arguments and I know I just can’t for tomorrow! Don’t miss it!! ;)

Jaaved Jaafferi Last week we saw Jaaved Jaaffery narrating a very beautiful inspirational poem by Kavi Agyat. This poem was narrated as an inspiration to the little cancer patients who visited Boogie Woogie sets from St. Jude’s hospital last Friday.

The poem that Jaaved Jaaffery narrated should serve as an motivation and inspiration not only to the little kids but also to all of us and hence we are proud to bring you the audio clip. Enjoy!

Have a wonderful and blessed day!!

Mummy Championships Saturday night continued with Bharat ke Rang Mummy ke Sang episode in its Mummy’s Championships. After couple of jokes and joota baarish, we got to hear a beautiful message on national integration by Jaaved Jaaffery.

Neelu Rai1 The first mother to perform on Saturday night was Neelu Rai who performed a Northeastern Indian dance. Neelu wore a beautiful red and black costume and performed a very attractive dance. There was lots of charm, enthusiasm in the dance, something that makes you want to join them. The dance with the bamboo sticks, rotations on bamboo was cool. And we got to hear “I Love You” from both Neelu and her husband which the judges has started to enjoy listening to every week. Aren’t they funny or what? ;)

Shilpa Joshi1 The next mother to perform was Shilpa Joshi who got Bengali theme and performed a Bengali machwara dance. She too wore a beautiful red saree which added extra charm to her performance. She started off with faster steps and then continued with the theme of Durga. Her performance was carried with all the much needed expressions. I liked the closure of her performance. The after performance talk informed us that Shilpa would like to teach dance but wants to learn little bit more before she can take up the career.

The third mother to perform was Saba Bari who got Daandiya as her theme. Saba has Sabah Bari1been surprising week after week with great entertaining performances and this week too she comes in with one energetic and fabulous performance. She wore beautiful maroon and white ghagra and carried great expressions and smile all through the way. She danced on medley of songs and the steps during pari hu mein was awesome. She manages to get your entire attention and keeps your eyes glued to her performance. The dancing with florescent lights was cool. The after performance talk brought all the spicy talk when Saba mentioned that Ripanpreet shouldn’t go ahead as she doesn’t have a fighting spirit. The exchange of dialogues between both the mummy’s was interesting to watch. It was good healthy debate.

Ripanpreet Sidhu1 After the debate, Ripanpreet Sidhu was the next who came in to prove her fighting spirit and also to try something totally different that she never did before – Launi (Maharashtrian dance). Ripanpreet wore a pretty green Maharashtrian saree and danced to a regional folk song. Her thoomkaas were great. Her steps were good and she looked completely different especially after seeing her in the hot new look, it was difficult to picture her in traditional saree. But a performance well done! Ripanpreet’s last few seconds of the performance was good with the change in music. The after performance talk was funny.

The next mummy to perform was Darshana Kohli who performed an Odissi dance. She Darshana Kohli1wore a red color saree and danced on one of my most favorite song “Piya Basanti Re”. This song added lots of strength to the performance and Darshana didn’t leave any leaf unturned to make this performance complete and beautiful. When the music was changed to faster track, the change in steps that were used were beautiful. Darshana got good compliments from the judges and one of the compliment was that her dance had “Grace and Fluidity”. Boogie Woogie surprised Darshana by inviting her family to the show and she was pleasantly surprised to see them. They got Mawa Jalebi for the judges.

The last mother to perform on Saturday night Geeta Soni1was pretty lady Geeta Soni who got Holi ka Tyohaar. She wore pretty pink chudidaar and danced prettily. It sure looked like Ravi enjoyed the performance the most as he had the most wider smile and was grooving with the music. Geeta danced to a mix of songs with Rang Barse song dominating. The ched chad in the performance was good. Geeta and the Boo dancers played holi on the sets and the entire Boogie Woogie changed into the colorful festival. The after performance talk made Geeta emotional when the judges started to talk about her husband. We do hope to see him on Boogie Woogie stage soon. Ravi was funny and cheered Geeta to his best. Good job Ravi!!

V Lavanya1 After the flash back, the results were announced and the unfortunate mummy to get eliminated this week was Lavanya. We wish her the very best for all her future endeavors and we do hope to see her back on Boogie Woogie stage soon.

ravi naved javed There is only one show that can’t keep you away from loving it – Boogie Woogie! If your question is why then Friday night’s episode will answer your question wide and clear. The rest of the shows are only impersonators!! But coming back to the show, Friday night’s episode was one of the cutest this month!! It had one of the sweetest start which will make you feel proud and also will bring a really big smile on your face.

It all started with Ravi and Naved and Idea CupOfGoodnessadvertisement. There were hilarious moments especially with the walk and talk speech. I think Boogie Woogie judges are the only judges in the world who would agree to the joota baarish script for themselves. Javed added his own charm. There is a very sweet and beautiful poem that Javed narrated which we shall put it for you in audio form in an separate article. I must say Javed’s new look (hair style and color) rocks and looks fabulous on him.

Boogie Woogie supports a good cause and invited and welcomed little cancer patients to their stage. Ms. India Universe Ekta Choudhary came to Boogie Woogie stage to introduce the kids and thanked Boogie Woogie for giving the kids a chance to perform Mummy Championshipson the prestigious stage. The next we saw was kids dancing on song “Pappu can’t dance saala”. Don’t miss out for anything in this world!! It should rejuvenate life in you and firm your believe in God and touches your heart like never before. Priya Dutt who spoke about Tata Memorial and the kids also thanked Boogie Woogie in a special message and spoke words of goodness. There are very few politicians who do good for the betterment of the society without any biases and Priya Dutt tops that list. As Javed said, she sure would be a much needed and fabulous political leader of tomorrow. Her message was wide and clear and beautiful. God Bless Her!! The only annoying thing that I found was of course from crazy Sony channel who put a toad on side of the television for “Mujhe iss jungle se bachao” and there was a very loud and ugly toad noise that was interrupting Priya Dutt’s message. Well, I am not fond of cursing Sony all the time but then they do senseless crap all the time that I just can’t help but use my vocabulary. Maybe they need a change in their staff!

Back to Mummy’s Championship 2009 – The theme this week for all 12 mummy’s was “Bharat ke Rang Mummy ke Sang”.

Sayli Desai1 The first mummy to dance on this beautiful Friday night was Saili Desai and she performed on Ganesh Utsav. She wore a green blouse with green and blue bottom and wore a pot over her head. She danced fabulously and gave excellent expression and her smile was great. Her dance was fast paced and to carry the stuff over head and also do all the movements finely deserves applaud. Her neck and shoulder shake was worth watching. She did manage to get good comments from the judges especially from Javed. The after performance talk brought all the spice that was needed to turn your head, pointing at another mummy’s weakness. But then Boogie Woogie does manage to carry the argument with grace.

V Lavanya1 The next mother was sweet Lavanya and she picked Goan Dance to perform in the Bharat ke Rang Mummy ke Sang episode. She wore a pretty orange and white outfit and did threw in a fast paced and sweet and funny number. Her steps were funny yet all were rhythmic. Don’t miss out on her hip shaking, it was fabulous. The lift in the end was cool. There were funny comments by the judges on her weight and they also discussed about love and arrange marriage. Well all I can say is I loved Lavanya’s smile and her dance and she did succeed to fill the stage with life.

The next mother to perform was Ritu Gupta Ritu Gupta1who got Punjab rang “Bhangra” as her theme. Now watch this Gujratan do a bhangra and awe you in praise. She did a fantastic job and danced on song “Kala Shah Kala”. I loved the start of the performance till the very end. It was one very entertaining and fabulously done performance. Ritu was very energetic and her stunts, steps that she took were amazing. It was real bhangra!! Her rotations, the lying down part was too good too. In one word, it was “Superhit”!! Ritu got good comments from the judges. It was also very sweet to listen to great compliments by her hubby who came in to support her.

The next mother to perform after Ritu was Deepa Singh who got a Rajasthani theme and Deepa Singh1performed on a Rajasthani folk song that is my the favorite among all Indian folk songs. And so she instantly won my heart. Well Deepa’s performance was divided into two folk songs. It was beautiful to watch her perform with sword in her mouth and dance on thaali, also her rotations were fabulous. Her dance was also fast paced and very entertaining. There was a surprise that was waiting for Deepa and that was her birthday celebration by the judges on the stage itself. I think the people who get wished by them on their birthdays are really lucky and so Deepa was one of the luckiest to see one of the best birthday on Boogie Woogie. Her eyes said it all as she was overwhelmed. It was too cute to watch the judges dance with all mummy’s and everyone feeding Deepa her birthday cake.

The fifth mother to perform was the one who had performed only western till date but this time she came with totally Indian – Sonia Dias! Sonia Sonia Dias1danced Kathakali and was dressed up classically. She looked totally different from her previous image. She danced fabulously especially the sword and shield work was very neat. She danced on AR Rahman’s regional song. The rope fighting was excellently done, the bamboo stick fight dance was superb, the pot breaking and the rest of the details were all finer and worth all your appreciation. Her work was the best till date and this performance should definitely come under one of the best performances of Boogie Woogie that audience should cherish. Her overall theme and the narration should be loved by one and all from audience point of view and if there were votes, she surely would have grabbed them all. The after performance talk again brought some spicy talk which makes you little nervous thinking if the fight would break but is taken very well by fellow participants. They talk about coming out from the comfort zone and dancing like never before. Watch Javed maintaining his silence while everyone is discussing their opinion!

The last mother to perform on Boogie Woogie stage on Friday night was Harpreet Kaur and she gets Gokul Ashtami. Watch judges dance Harpreet Kaur1and introduce Harpreet for Gokul Ashtami – there were funny! Harpreet wore a blue color saree and danced on evergreen Amitabh hit “Machgaya shor” song. Watch her matkas and jhatkas. Though her dance started off with simpler steps but she totally surprises you in the last half when she moves to finer steps and also breaks the dahi ki matki. That part takes the cake. The after performance talk was hilarious especially when she says “mummy’s pahunchivi hai” and judges narration of it. Her saying send all mummy’s home and make her the winner was sweet. Her Husband who came in to support her had good sense of humor and spoke good. Lavanya’s dialogue was funny and sweet.

With this judges thanked Priya Dutt for her message and spoke words of praise for her. Must Watch Episode!!

Saturday night the first mummy to perform was Neelu Rai who got Latika Arora as her dancing partner. They both were dressed as Charlie Chaplin and danced on song Neelu Rai1“Hum the woh thi” – a Kishore Kumar number. They both did a wonderful job performing and their tap dance was the highlight. The way stage changed the color during the dance performance was fabulous especially during the red color. Neelu’s and Latika’s performance came in with good humor as well and made it a good entertaining number. Neelu was made to say “I love you” in Nepali to her husband. (Didn’t she say that before ??) Anyway Latika brought scarfs for the judges and gave them with respect.

Ritu Gupta1 The second mother to dance on Saturday night was Ritu Gupta and she got Jaspal Kaur as her dancing partner. They wore pink color skirts/ slacks with red and yellow tops and did Salsa on the song “ouima ouima”. They did a wonderful job with their dancing skills and threw in some cool steps. Many parts of their dance came out sensual as well. A very entertaining number!

The next mummy to perform was Darshana Kohli who got Namrata Shah as her partner. Both Darshana and Namrata Darshana Kohli1performed a beautiful classical dance on song “San Sanana San” a song from movie Asoka. It was one CUTE performance which should bring a big smile on your face while watching. Very well performed. The after performance talk made Darshana senti as it was her husband’s birthday and she said “I love you” to her hubby over the camera. Another cute thing was both Darshana and Namrata singing a song “saat ajube is duniya mein aatvi aapki jodi” for Ravi and Naved. Sweet!!

The fourth mother to perform was Saba Baari who got Sabah Bari1Jamna Dathia as her dancing partner. This probably was the cutest performance of the evening. Both Saba and Jamna danced on a regional song. Saba wore a yellow sari with purple blouse where as Jamna was dressed as Rajnikanth and both threw in a very energetic and entertaining performance. Must watch! What else is a MUST MUST watch is Ravi Behl dancing on song “Jao tum chahe jaha” with Saba and Jamna. Too cute :)

The next mother to perform on Boogie Woogie stage was Saili Desai who got manju Johri as her dancing partner. Sayli Desai1They wore beautiful red color costumes with golden dupatta and performed Kathak dance on song “tere Naina”. It was one of the best charming performance. Their dance was theme based and should be enjoyed by all art and talent lovers. The after performance talk brought a very cute and must watch moment - mothers sang a song “Tum mile dil khile” for their respective husbands. It was too cute.

The last mother to perform on Boogie Woogie stage was Geeta Soni1Geeta Soni who got Sonali Karam. Now this performance can make you give standing applause. It was the BEST performance of the weekend. Must WATCH!! It was simply beautiful with the matkis hanging decorated and the way both the dancers danced in water was just simply fabulous. Geeta and Sonali wore beautiful blue color dress and danced on song “Jhalka jhalka” song from movie Saathiya. This performance will make you feel exactly the way you felt while watching or reading a fairy tale. My full points to this performance. Dont miss it!

Mummy Championships With Geeta’s performance it was end of the partner round for mummy’s. The credit for the beautiful themes, amazing dancing, superb mixing of various dances, unique style and story like narration MUST go to the master choreographers “Sumit and Vinod”of Boogie Woogie who took the show from one level to entirely another level. Boogie Woogie proves to be the best not just in their talent search but also having the best of the crew who simply are an asset for the company – R & N Productions! Awesome Job!!

Avatar Kaur Randhawa1 Unfortunately the week wasn’t lucky for Avatar Kaur Randhawa who got eliminated and was consoled by the rest of the mothers upon hearing the news. But the best part was while leaving Avatar showed her amazing Bhangra skills for which she will be remembered for a very long time. We will miss you Avatar! Wishing you good luck and plenty of cheers always!

ravi-kisen With Ravi Kisen as the guest of honor and making an royal entry on the stage with a song from his upcoming movie “Luck”, it was one adorable start to Boogie Woogie’s Friday nights episode. It sure sounds interesting and as I like Ravi Kisen, I sure would be watching this movie too.

This week mothers were suppose to dance with mummy’s who had participated in Boogie Woogie’s Mummy’s Championships in prior years. They were partnered and were given a theme to dance on their favorite actress song or they could choose a song that belonged to their husbands favorite actress.

The first mummy to perform on the Boogie Woogie stage was Avatar Kaur who was paired with Deepa Choudhary. Avatar Kaur had fascinated us couple of Avatar Kaur Randhawa1times with her awesome bhangra skills and I truly do believe no one does bhangra with as much enthusiasm and energy like Avatar does. This week Avatar along with Deepa came in Meera and Radha form. Avatar was dressed as Meera and Deepa was Radha. Both danced on the mixed tunes of Kailash Kher’s two popular songs “Teri Deewani” and “Saiyaan”. The mixing of the songs was good and they both danced gracefully. It was a well performed performance. Both Avatar and Deepa got good comments from Ravi Kisen.

The second mummy to perform was Harpreet Kaur and she was paired with Purvi Rani. Now the performance that both Harpreet Kaur and Purvi gave was so awesome that for a long time I kept on thinking if the credit should be given to the dancers or to the choreographers – Sumeet and Vinod. The concept had Sumeet and Vinods name written alHarpreet Kaur1l over. No doubt that dancers did a marvelous job but then still one couldn’t help applauding the choreographers for the concept and for the narration. Bravo! Harpreet and Purvi danced on song “payaliya jhanjhan kare piya ghar aa jao”. They also wore pretty costumes that complimented their performance. This performance takes you to entire different world and you should surely enjoy with great applauds. The only thing that I found that was disturbing was Ravi asking Harpreet a question and she answering totally different and getting diverted to her family. She spoke about her mother in law and went senti about it and cried. Come on mothers, be strong and stop this crying business!

The next mother to perform on Boogie Woogie stage was Lavanya who got Suchi Sharma as her dancing partner. Lavanya has a quality that keeps her above the rest of the V Lavanya1mummy’s. She always emerges a champion when it comes to her smile, expression and gracefulness. She adds charm to her performance and everything that she ends up doing adds points to her grace. Suchi and Lavanya both danced on song “Raat ka Samaa” and wore a yellow lehanga with maroon blouse. They wore beautiful smiles through out and also introduced break dance while doing the classical and again I won’t compliment them for coming up with something unique but give the entire credit to Sumit and Vinod for their imagination and beautiful mixing of dancing. After performance talk was pretty entertaining as well.

The next mother to perform was the sweet talkative wonder “Ripanpreet Sidhu” who got Leora Sanka as her dancing partner. Again you would applaud the master choreographers for their style of narration and coming up with a sapera and Ripanpreet Sidhu1hip hop mix – something that wasn’t heard before at all. Very well done! Both Ripanpreet and Leora danced with the right amount of energies and threw in a very entertaining performance. They also wore great smiles through out along with wearing a orange color bottom with brown tops. The props that were used added charm to their performance. The after performance again brought the sobby sobby moment when Ripanpreet cried thinking of her family. Come on Ripanpreet, show your stronger side – mothers are suppose to be strong! Plus I admire strong women – be Strong!!

The fifth mother to perform was Deepa Singh who danced with her dancing partner mother called Sujata Maheshwari. They both started Deepa Singh1their performance from a raised platform and danced to the tunes of “Bilo Rani” song. Deepa and Sujata wore a blue and red ghagra with blue and yellow tops. It was one entertaining performance and their latkas and jhatkas were worth watching. Deepa and Sujata also gave out the right expressions and smiles and the mischievousness.  This pair also sang in Bhojpuri for Ravi Kisen and also danced to Ravi Kisen’s tunes that went something like “aage se misile aor peeche se bomb ka gola”. It was pretty entertaining.

The next mother is the mother who is pretty hot all over the internet searches and getting very popular from nine to million right Shilpa Joshi1from her second performance – Shilpa Joshi! Shilpa was paired with Phulwa and wore a blue color dress where as Phulwa wore a purple color dress. They both together threw in a fabulous water dance and looked like perfect water fairies. Shilpa and Phulwa danced to a regional song. It was one fabulous performance and again the credit must go to the master choreographers. All of a sudden the entire Boogie Woogie outlook is changed due to the choreographers. There is no doubt that they add so much of spice and vigor to all the performances. Shilpa and Phulwa got good compliments from the judges especially from Ravi and Naved.

The last performer of the Friday night is all of our favorite – Sonia Dias! It is so Sonia Dias1wonderful to see her back on Boogie Woogie stage. She proves to be a really strong women who has shown immense strength in overcoming the tough time that she recently went through or still going through. After Sonia’s husband’s death right on her birthday, she was miserable but gathered all her strength to come back to Boogie Woogie stage to fulfill her husbands wishes and hers as well. She was paired with another energetic mother Sonia Vrijesh and both were dressed as school kids in school uniform bringing dance and as well as comedy to their performance. They gave out good expressions and on the whole it was a well performed and entertaining performance. A job very well done!

Last but not least, it was very entertaining and well time spent Friday evening with Ravi, Naved and the simple adorable guest Ravi Kisen – Must watch Episode!!

clapping hangs A Celebrity is someone who is famously recognized by the common people. They enjoy the status and are given larger then life image by the commonest common people and are sometimes worshipped too (often for their screen image.) But in reality 99 percent of the celebrities live a very different life in actual then what they pretend in front of the world. They also many times leave really bad examples in the society just like the breaking news that occurred in past month and half.

Generally speaking, a celebrity is someone who seeks media attention and most frequently has an extroverted personality. A celebrity that shy’s away from the public eye or keeps a very separate private life is called a reluctant celebrity. At the other end of the spectrum, a celebrity that seeks out publicity for him or herself is often called a media tart, whereas one that uses his or her private life as a vehicle for enhanced celebrity status, sometimes desperately is referred to as a media whore. There are some celebrities who does good work and leave great examples for their fans to follow without thinking if they will benefit anything out of it or not.

crazy To sum up, there are all sorts of celebrities in this world but “we” this blog “Boogie Woogie India” never chased any celebrity just because they live a glamorous life or for the attention. To us, we really don’t care about any celebrity unless they are our dear judges and who are doing something good in return for the society and for the common man and so when anytime we see celebrities coming to Boogie Woogie as guests, we really are not thrilled unless they belong to the category that reaches our heart. I am sure many of us would be more happy to see a common man as the special guest on Boogie Woogie instead of fake naked minded celebrity guests who come in to enhance their own stupid celebrity status. If you don’t believe me then watch Dus ka Dum where the TRP wasn’t as much as it was last year and that is because repeatedly we saw only celebrities coming as participants on Salman’s show. If it had common man as the participant, the TRP’s would have soared. Common man and Salman they both rock together! Plus the common man is NO MORE interested in any celebrities in present times. The only personalities that reaches out to the common man’s heart is the one of another common man!

This weekend, Boogie Woogie brought two guests, one on a Friday night and another one on Saturday night. Friday night brought Ravi Kisen to Boogie Woogie stage who came in to promote his upcoming film “Luck” and we were pretty thrilled to see this down to earth and simple Bhojpuri superstar. For us, Ravi Kisen made a place in our hearts especially when he hosted Ek Se Badkar Ek on ZEE TV! Our experience? Well, the first day we saw him host and heard his poor jokes, we were really annoyed and bomb blasted Zee for their poor taste but then we were equally surprised to find Ravi Kisen making a place in our hearts with his goodness the following week. His real personality had started showing up and we realized Ravi Kisenhow fast he made a sure shot place in our hearts especially when we started admiring the same poor jokes that annoyed the heck out of us before. We realized how much a person’s personality plays an important role in liking or disliking. We started to enjoy and admire Ravi Kisen as he shed tears and also felt the pain when something went wrong. He spoke words of goodness and also DARED to stood up against the judges every time they were biased in their judgment or comments. He proved to be the common man’s MAN!! There was a time when he had to leave the show half the way because of his personal commitments and shooting schedule and so we found ourselves writing again to Zee but this time only words of praise and pleading them to stop him from leaving the show. What a change right? While I am still on topic, let me tell you Zee’s response to our anger and also to our love – they DID responded both the times and were grateful for our input and for our communications and replied back respectfully unlike Sony who doesn’t care a damn. Well, I guess that explains the popularity graph and the customer service between both the channels.

monkey_wink This blog and I am sure all audience enjoyed seeing Ravi Kisen on Friday night and seriously we hope and pray that his upcoming movie “Luck” does bring him lots of luck and emerges a winner at the ticket counter. As for the second guest, it was plain pretending on Boogie Woogie stage – you know the kind that we spoke about earlier, celebrities that are desperate for self enhancement of popularity and who is called “media w****”. Not worth mentioning!

Adios Amigos – Don’t be Shy in speaking your thoughts. It’s must that we support only “that” celebrity talent which comes with a clean respectful SOUL! After all wrong influence can take away the mauja out of our life ;)
