Here is a quick update - Videos are uploaded below

First one to perform today was Khushbu Kadam in Kids Championship. This 13 year performed gracefully on “Saanso ki maala” from movie Koyla. When she was asked what she thinks about her own performance, she said she was not totally satisfied and felt her energies were little less. She was modest and sweet.

Next one to perform energetically was Sahil Tyagi who hails from Saharanpur. He performed on a number “Door se paas bulane aaye”. I am not sure which movie this song is from but his dancing moves were fabulous. His performance started with a little Boogie Woogie title song and then it was remixed with the above number.

Third participant in Friday’s episode was pretty lady Sriya Salini Sahu who danced absolutely graceful on one of the golden oldies “Raat ka Sama” from movie Ziddi from year 1964. Her dance moves were in perfect synch with rhythm. She also mimicked an old lady and her mother gave her company too.

Now it was turn for the little angel who does lot of charities at this young age. Isha Dang from Patiala who is 14 year old. She danced an absolutely mesmerizing classical number on “Mohe panghat pe nandlal” from movie Moghul e Azam. She got the best of comments from the judges. As a matter of fact Javed said he was lost in her performance. I think this is the best comment any performer could ever wish for. Well Done Isha!!

Tomorrow we shall see the remaining four finalists perform - Farhina Parvez, Abhash Mukherjee, Tulika Tripaty and Girishma Yadav.

Eight Kids are competing in finals this week for the title of Boogie Woogie Kids Championship 2008. What do you think - who will be crowned with the ultimate title? Saturday marked another round of fabulous performances from remaining four contestants of Kids Championship 2008.

The four contestants that performed on Saturday were:
Girishma Yadav
Tulika Tripaty
Sahil Tyagi
Abhash Mukherjee

The First one to perform was Grishma Yadav. She was paired with 2006 finalist Amrita Shetty and both together gave a fabulous enjoyable performance on “Gao sajne laga” from movie Virasat.The energetic level of both the dancers was high and were in perfect sync.

The next one to perform was Tulika Tripaty and she was paired with Priyanka Mahajan who had performed in last years Kids Championships. They both together performed superbly on “Prem Diwani Bani” from movie “Mein prem ki diwani hu”. The dance they performed was not only graceful but also synched superbly. The highlight was when Javed asked her to dance Odissi on the same number and she very sportingly put together a very GRACEFUL performance and I think she took the cake of this weeks performances. She also sang beautifully “Tinka tinka zara zara”. A true and complete artist of course!

Now it was Sahil Tyagi’s turn who was paired with last years Kids Championship winner Papiya Sarkar and they both together danced on “ek mein hu ek tu hai” from movie Fida. It was good energetic performance.

Last but not least to perform on Saturday nights episode was Abhash Mukherjee who was paired with last years finalist Abhik Banerjee. Both together threw in a fabulous energetic and highly enjoyable performance. They danced on “Rind Posh Maal” from movie Mission Kashmir. This performance is must watch and pay attention to the steps they both took together. I personally thoroughly enjoyed it.

Javed also threw light on the meaning of the song Rind Posh Maal and said it means “aaye hai phoolon ki maala pyar se pirone”. Thanks Javed! Another piece of knowledge gained via Sony’s Boogie Woogie. Awesome!

Now comes the elimination part which was written unfortunately for “Adhaar Kaul” from Jammu. He took very sportingly.

Aadhaar you will be missed but I am sure we will see you back soon with better rocking dance numbers. We will always remember the fabulous performances that you put together along with your awesome comedy especially my favorite when you danced like Salman. You are a bundle of joy not only for your family but also for entire viewers of Boogie Woogie. God bless you! WE LOVE YOU!

This week in Boogie Woogie Kids Championship 2008 Semi Finals, little master blaster Dheirya Sonecha graced the sets of Boogie Woogie.

For those who are wondering who Dheirya is then let me remind you that you must have watched Dheirya along with Sharukh Khan’s show "Kya aap paanchvi paas se tez ho"

This little wonder came with few riddles and also had wise explanation to give when he was asked how people should feel regarding their skin color.

He brightened the entire episode with his infectious smile. God bless him!

Friday’s episode started with couple of funny jokes by one and only Ravi, Naved and Javed. Watch the video - you will enjoy the jokes. Javed  joined them in his own style and three of them did a little robotic movement. They also wished each other and everyone for Eid and Navratri.

Today out of 9 contestants that were left, 5 would be performing and the rest 4 will perform on Saturday. In this week’s episode, the contestants were given finalists of last year’s Boogie Woogie Kids Championship to pair up and perform.

The first one to perform was Khushboo Kadam and the finalist to pair with her was Saurabh Bahadure. Saurabh had participated in year 2006. They both together gave a beautiful performance and danced on a peppy number “Gopala”. The little Gopala “Saurabh” also showed his skills in twisting his tongue.

The next one to perform was Sriya Salini Sahu and Xunayana Buragohain paired up with her to perform one energetic performance. Xunayana had participated last year 2007 in Kids Championships. They danced on a peppy song “Ramba ho” which was sung by one of my favorite “Usha Uthup”.

The participant who came next was sweet Isha Dang who performed with last year’s finalist Priyanka Keni. They both performed fabulously on “Kahta hai dil ye mera piya”. I personally have enjoyed this performance a great lot. They both danced with perfect synchronization and the dance itself was so graceful that it touched my heart.

Alright now was the turn for the little comedian of the house - the sweet little Aadhar Kaul who performed with 2006 Kids Championship finalist Jigar Thakkar. They both performed on “Bhootni ke”. They performed a little energetically and overall it was a good performance.

Last to come on Friday’s episode was the little wonder Farhina Parvez who stepped out of her comfort zone and performed on a Balley dance and the one paired up with her fabulously was Sukanya Mondal who participated in 2007 Kids Championship. They both together not only performed excellently but also conveyed a message about color that was explained very well by the judges.

Saturday saw another round of fabulous performances by the remaining 5 contestants. The best thing that I observed was Boogie Woogie now supplied all of the costumes, dancers and themes along with their own choreographers. This time around the contestants only had to show their skills and work hard to clear the elimination round aiming at Semi Finals.

Today the five contestants who performed were:

Grishma Yadav who performed on a “Mime” theme. She portrayed a beautiful concept of girls birth in her dance. Her make up, costume and the dancers accompanied her complimented perfectly. A very impressive show but the only problem I found was she didn’t know what she performed and said she did because it was in the theme. Well we will talk about it another time. Enjoy her performance - its worth watching!

The next contestant to come was Sahil Tyagi who got “Tap Dance” as his theme. A very well dressed Sahil not only did justice to his theme but also showed fabulous energy in his performance. His style - Voila!! You are going to love this performance. He danced on song “Sach Kahna”.

Bijal Barot was the next one to perform and she was given “Play group kids” as theme. Now here is something that I am confused about. If the contestants were given themes then why did the choreographers made them practice something that didn’t match the theme? What Bijal performed was really looking like mental hospital patients instead of play kids at school as the judges said so who is to be blamed for this performance? Anyway she is great dancer and her after performance was heart touching when she cried on missing her grand parents.

Khushbu Kadam was given “Lawni” as theme. Please pardon me if I did a spelling mistake in the name. You can always correct me. But she was given Maharashtran dance as her theme and was dressed perfectly to the theme. Her dance steps matched her energy and overall it was fabulous performance. The only complain I have again here is the contestants are not well prepared. She did not know what the wordings meant in the song. I feel Boogie Woogie show is par in its excellence and the contestants performing should and must prepare themselves with all the knowledge required for the number they are performing after all they are in Boogie Woogie.

Last one to come was Abhash Mukherjee who got “Hip Hop” as his theme and he put in a wonderful mind blowing performance. I loved his dance and I feel he took the cake in today’s episode. I think Abhash, Farhina and Sahil are three kids who are the best of best among this category and may compete in finals but then there is still plenty of time so lets wait and watch as anything can happen in future rounds.

Now comes the painful part - the elimination which unfortunately was written for Bijal Barot. She took very sportingly and displayed her smile even though tears kept rolling her eyes. My heart goes out for her but then as this is competition and only one can win so here we are wishing Bijal the very best of best for all her future endeavors. May she return to Boogie Woogie with mind blowing performances and win the trophy. But for now - Bijal, Well Done!! We are proud of you! And remember we love you!
