Today, let’s talk about something different. Something that is not related with dance but before that let us talk a little about our everyday lives. How are we doing? We wake up in Morning and get busy with our routine work – routine work gets so hectic that we feel like a robot most of the times. Everything needs to be done within its time limit and if we snooze then we loose. The outside world is too harsh and we cannot take any risk by snoozing even for few seconds. The word “Success” is so much on our mind that it occupies us 24/7. We think being successful is being “RICH” and so the word success gets correlated with another word “Money”. We start to feel if we are successful (rich) then it will be a good show at the society or else not. And in this process we make our lives so much busier that we create lot of stress on ourselves. Our week days fly and our weekends we struggle and juggle a million projects together. We can’t help. It is a competitive world. We need to be on our toes so that we can have a secured future. We up bring our children with the same attitude as well. As a matter of fact, today’s children they have lot more pressure over their head then the grown up’s. They not only have to learn to be successful and rich but also have to live their parent’s dreams.

School bags get’s heavier by heavier day by day. Education, extra curricular activities, home work, relatives – where is the time for ourselves? What about time for somebody else? How about some charity? Even though a lot of times we feel at heart the willingness to help someone, where and how can we fit in our busy schedules? But then they say "where there is will, there is way".

“Charity” - What is that? I recently was reading some stuff on charity and in this process; I came across a definition that was beautifully put by a Yahoo member – according to him “Charity is opening your heart and giving a hand to someone in need. Charity doesn’t necessarily have to be something material. Sometimes just being there can have much greater value than money or worldly goods. Charity which comes from within the heart shows that you care and have compassion for the people around you. That in return is a good foundation for developing a role model which would be of a much greater benefit to the community”

My parents always said that we came into this world with a purpose. That purpose is not gaining money or being a millionaire but being human. A lot of us do have a capability to extend a helping hand to a less fortunate person. We just need to realize that from within. Helping is not necessarily only giving away money – we can share our knowledge, we sure can offer guidance, anything that is within our limit without burning ourselves is great. And if we are able to share a bit of our earnings in making someone’s life better then why not?

50 How many of us really emphasize on the children that they must do the good deeds leave alone donating your hard earned money or your valuable possession. But we recently spotted one such family who are beautifully up bringing their daughter with the right deeds, right manners and right attitude. The way they look at life is different from any families that we come across. They place the happiness of others prior to placing their own needs. The amount of charity that the family has got into is amazing. Their young girl has done so much of charity in this young age that I have not done in my entire life. Yes I am talking about Isha Dang and the awesome Dang Family. Isha won the title of Boogie Woogie Kids Championship 2008. She plans to give away the entire money that she won in charity. This awesome down to earth and modest family from Patiala has definitely taught us the real meaning of life. My Salute to the city of Patiala, and to the “Dang” family. They are perfect role models!

64 Right from the beginning till the finals, we came to know how this little wonder has won many prizes but always gave away the prize money for charity. This family is never tired of working towards the charity. It never occurred to her that the money that she won, she should be buying something that she can remember for a long time that it was possible due to her victory in the competitions. She participates in different events only with a soul motive of helping the needy. I remember in one of the episode when Isha talked about falling sick during one of the charity events and she had seven performances to give that day. She started to pray to get well soon so that she does not miss the opportunity to perform and help the group. What a noble thought!!

67 The manners, the behavior and every action that Isha and her family took during the Boogie Woogie days, talks about how human they are. We have lots to learn from them. They truly are not only INSPIRING but REAL HEROES in every sense. I guess this world is still a good place because there are people like the Dang family living here. God Bless “Dang” Family!!

And Isha – WE ARE VERY PROUD OF YOU!! KEEP IT UP!

Hearts were pounding faster and all eyes were on screen waiting to see who would be declared as Kids Champion 2008. Each contestant performed to their excellence and the competition was so close that it was difficult to assume which one would be the final winner but there was one contestant who stood out not only in dance performance but also in the noble work that she has been doing from her early childhood. Before I write the winners name, I would like to salute the energies and the determination that all the kids showed. A job Very Well Done!

And the winner is………… "ISHA DANG" from Patiala.

This 14 year old performed gracefully and mesmerized all the viewers and the judges. She was the one who got the best of comments from judges yesterday and the biggest of them all was when Javed said he was lost in her dance. Now that is what I call a performance. If a judge like Javed Jaaferi can be lost in a performance then that dancer not only deserves the crown but also a standing ovation.

BoogieWoogieIndia.Com Congratulates Isha Dang. We are PROUD of you.  And keep it up with all the Charity work that you do.  God Bless You!

1 Today the remaining four gave a tough fight to win the crown of Kids Championship 2008 title.

9 18 The first one to come was Girishma Yadav. This 11 year old danced on Kailash Kher’s number “Preet ki lat mohe aisi laagi”. We heard this song many times in singing reality shows but this was the first time we saw a dancer danced to this number. She performed really good but then as the judges said this was not the number to be chosen for the finals. Good try though and Well done Girishma!

24 28 Next finalist who performed beautifully and gracefully was 14 year old Tulika Tripathy. She danced on “More Piya”. Her moves, her expressions and everything she did was superb. When you watch the video, you simply are going to love it. She also came with a number of riddles for the judges and lightened the atmosphere. She is a bundle of joy and her parents must be very proud of her. I am sure the entire Boogie Woogie unit and viewers are proud of her. Way to go Tulika - Never change and always be the jovial you! Well Done!

42 34 Alright now it was time for little energetic doll Farhina Parvez to perform. She suprised everyone by performing on a number that was not her forte. Many had put their money down that she will perform a rocking hip hop number that will tear the stage away but we were in for a surprize. As everyone knows Farhina is a hip hop dancer and today she performed a semi classical Indian dance - a song chosen from the movie “Chandramukhi”. They used beautiful props and everything matched perfect to her dance. Judges did question her why she chose to perform a number that belonged to a different jonar and to this her choreographer and teacher responded saying he wanted to present a complete dancer instead of presenting one style of dance. A interesting and bold thought but was it required at this level? Maybe not and the judges objected to this point of view but I felt her performance and the risk she took was very well worth it. I was extremely happy to see the Indian dancer in Farhina. Winning is not all and she is very talented young lady and sure has a long way to go. I wouldn’t be surprised if I see her as a successful superstar tomorrow. Oh did I tell you she was looking absolutely stunning. Yes she was. Great work Farhina - Very Well Done!

58 56 Last one to perform in this Grand Finale was little master Abhash Mukherjee. This 12 year old danced superbly on a Telugu song and the entry he made was just perfect. The judges themselves were impressed and praised for the steps and moves that he took. A very enjoyable number of course! I was expecting perfect remarks but then as the judges sure know their art a lot better then me so I salute them for pointing out the stuff and for their perfection and fairness. The way  they look at things which people like you and me cannot even observe is worth a big applaud. But nevertheless a great performance so Bravo Abhash!

Alright so at this point my heart started to pound faster wondering who will be the champion kid. Javed announced the winner but also said the fight was really tough and close especially between three kids - Isha, Tulika and Sahil and so the winner is……………. read the post above for the winner ;)

MP3’s coming soon.

Here is a quick update - Videos are uploaded below

43 First one to perform today was Khushbu Kadam in Kids Championship. This 13 year performed gracefully on “Saanso ki maala” from movie Koyla. When she was asked what she thinks about her own performance, she said she was not totally satisfied and felt her energies were little less. She was modest and sweet.

19 Next one to perform energetically was Sahil Tyagi who hails from Saharanpur. He performed on a number “Door se paas bulane aaye”. I am not sure which movie this song is from but his dancing moves were fabulous. His performance started with a little Boogie Woogie title song and then it was remixed with the above number.

66 Third participant in Friday’s episode was pretty lady Sriya Salini Sahu who danced absolutely graceful on one of the golden oldies “Raat ka Sama” from movie Ziddi from year 1964. Her dance moves were in perfect synch with rhythm. She also mimicked an old lady and her mother gave her company too.

69 Now it was turn for the little angel who does lot of charities at this young age. Isha Dang from Patiala who is 14 year old. She danced an absolutely mesmerizing classical number on “Mohe panghat pe nandlal” from movie Moghul e Azam. She got the best of comments from the judges. As a matter of fact Javed said he was lost in her performance. I think this is the best comment any performer could ever wish for. Well Done Isha!!

Tomorrow we shall see the remaining four finalists perform - Farhina Parvez, Abhash Mukherjee, Tulika Tripaty and Girishma Yadav.

Enjoy Videos
