Today, let’s talk about something different. Something that is not related with dance but before that let us talk a little about our everyday lives. How are we doing? We wake up in Morning and get busy with our routine work – routine work gets so hectic that we feel like a robot most of the times. Everything needs to be done within its time limit and if we snooze then we loose. The outside world is too harsh and we cannot take any risk by snoozing even for few seconds. The word “Success” is so much on our mind that it occupies us 24/7. We think being successful is being “RICH” and so the word success gets correlated with another word “Money”. We start to feel if we are successful (rich) then it will be a good show at the society or else not. And in this process we make our lives so much busier that we create lot of stress on ourselves. Our week days fly and our weekends we struggle and juggle a million projects together. We can’t help. It is a competitive world. We need to be on our toes so that we can have a secured future. We up bring our children with the same attitude as well. As a matter of fact, today’s children they have lot more pressure over their head then the grown up’s. They not only have to learn to be successful and rich but also have to live their parent’s dreams.
School bags get’s heavier by heavier day by day. Education, extra curricular activities, home work, relatives – where is the time for ourselves? What about time for somebody else? How about some charity? Even though a lot of times we feel at heart the willingness to help someone, where and how can we fit in our busy schedules? But then they say "where there is will, there is way".
“Charity” - What is that? I recently was reading some stuff on charity and in this process; I came across a definition that was beautifully put by a Yahoo member – according to him “Charity is opening your heart and giving a hand to someone in need. Charity doesn’t necessarily have to be something material. Sometimes just being there can have much greater value than money or worldly goods. Charity which comes from within the heart shows that you care and have compassion for the people around you. That in return is a good foundation for developing a role model which would be of a much greater benefit to the community”
My parents always said that we came into this world with a purpose. That purpose is not gaining money or being a millionaire but being human. A lot of us do have a capability to extend a helping hand to a less fortunate person. We just need to realize that from within. Helping is not necessarily only giving away money – we can share our knowledge, we sure can offer guidance, anything that is within our limit without burning ourselves is great. And if we are able to share a bit of our earnings in making someone’s life better then why not?
How many of us really emphasize on the children that they must do the good deeds leave alone donating your hard earned money or your valuable possession. But we recently spotted one such family who are beautifully up bringing their daughter with the right deeds, right manners and right attitude. The way they look at life is different from any families that we come across. They place the happiness of others prior to placing their own needs. The amount of charity that the family has got into is amazing. Their young girl has done so much of charity in this young age that I have not done in my entire life. Yes I am talking about Isha Dang and the awesome Dang Family. Isha won the title of Boogie Woogie Kids Championship 2008. She plans to give away the entire money that she won in charity. This awesome down to earth and modest family from Patiala has definitely taught us the real meaning of life. My Salute to the city of Patiala, and to the “Dang” family. They are perfect role models!
Right from the beginning till the finals, we came to know how this little wonder has won many prizes but always gave away the prize money for charity. This family is never tired of working towards the charity. It never occurred to her that the money that she won, she should be buying something that she can remember for a long time that it was possible due to her victory in the competitions. She participates in different events only with a soul motive of helping the needy. I remember in one of the episode when Isha talked about falling sick during one of the charity events and she had seven performances to give that day. She started to pray to get well soon so that she does not miss the opportunity to perform and help the group. What a noble thought!!
The manners, the behavior and every action that Isha and her family took during the Boogie Woogie days, talks about how human they are. We have lots to learn from them. They truly are not only INSPIRING but REAL HEROES in every sense. I guess this world is still a good place because there are people like the Dang family living here. God Bless “Dang” Family!!
And Isha – WE ARE VERY PROUD OF YOU!! KEEP IT UP!
