apple tree

Archie loved apples. He thought they were sweet.
He thought apples were always a wonderful treat.
He ate apples each day when he went out to play,
but the part in the middle, he just threw away.
Then one day as he ate an apple to the core,
he caught sight of a seed, wondering what it was for.
If he planted a seed, it just might grow a tree.
Archie thought, "what a wonderful thing that would be."
So he planted the seed in a hole, core and all.
He had faith it would grow, even though it was small.
With a shovel he covered the core with a mound,
taking care of the seed that was under the ground.
He brought water each day in a watering can.
He did his very best to make good on his plan.
Every day, he returned with the hope he would see
a small sign of new growth from the seed to a tree.
But the sign did not come and as time drifted by
Archie started to doubt whether he should still try.
There was no hint of green, not the tiniest leaf.
Was an apple tree really worth all of the grief?
He was ready to quit if it just would not grow.
For so long he had watered that seed down below.
Archie went to his father to ask what to do,
and his dad told him something that he never knew.
He said, "sometimes things don’t go the way that we plan.
Sometimes people give up when they don’t think they can.
But to those who keep trying, when no one else will,
there are dreams to achieve and great hopes to fulfill."
The words struck Archie’s mind and he knew they were true.
He would try to be patient and keep trying too.
Archie came every day without fail to the seed.
He brought water and tended its every need.
Then one day like the sun breaking out from a storm
a green leaf sprouted up from the ground in true form.
Reaching into the sky as if saying hello
the new tree met the one who allowed it to grow.
Archie saw the small leaf, and a tear filled his eye.
He was so full of cheer that he started to cry.
It was patience that brought this new life from the ground.
It gave Archie more joy than he ever had found.
He had not given up when the outlook was grim.
He helped that little seed that depended on him.
And the tree brought him apples, in time, that were sweet.
It brought even more apples than Archie could eat.
It grew strong, broad, and beautiful; ever so tall
from the patience and hope for a seed once so small.

proud to be us A “Tribute” is an act, a statement or a gift that is intended to show gratitude, respect or admiration for someone that is highly respected and loved and who else would understand a tribute better then this site? This site stands as a biggest tribute for Javed, Naved and Ravi speaking of their goodness and humility day after day week after week but not all can understand that. In this world where people find it difficult to trust, we stand courageously as the die hard fans and are very proud of our thinking.

michael-jackson On June 25th we heard the shocking news of Michael Jackson’s death. We were as utterly shocked as the rest of the world. Very soon many to zillions tributes started flowing in for the great maestro Michael Jackson but on the same day we wrote if a true tribute is paid to Michael Jackson then it has to come from Boogie Woogie home. No one can pay a tribute that Boogie Woogie can or is capable of and our words came true. If you are wondering why we felt that then here it is for you:

A tribute is a tribute only when it comes from a heart. I don’t know about other writers but I can never ravi javed navedpen down anything if I do not feel from my heart. Not that its not possible, anything is possible in this world and so for the sake of ones work, someone can always write to present a tribute but then the there is a whole lot of difference between a tribute that is presented that comes for the sake of work or money versus the one that is presented with lots of feelings and emotions attached. Boogie Woogie’s tribute to Michael Jackson was one that was true, respectable, honest and came with lots of gratitude and information.

We all know that Javed, Naved and Ravi are a HUGE fan of Michael Jackson don’t we? Yes they are! They grew up admiring this hero and learning from him. They respected him not just for his music or his performances but for the man that he was. Honestly if you ask me if I am ravi naved javed a huge fan of Michael Jackson then I would say not as much as I am a huge fan of Javed, Naved and Ravi. For me its easy to write pages on them but honestly I cannot do the same on MJ and that’s because I grew up only listening to his music and never got a chance to learn the man that he was. The attachment was clearly missing in me but then Boogie Woogie’s tribute taught me many things about Michael Jackson and the result is I admire him lot more today then I did yesterday. The way Boogie Woogie presented their tribute and informed about each and every piece of video that they played talking about its history and the concept was simply beautiful. They brought to light many finer things about Michael Jackson that maybe a big portion of Indian population was not aware of. In simple words it was great to see the heroes of this site talk about their heroes.

Boogie Woogie gave a chance to many Michael Jackson fans to pay tribute to him on their stage. There were 10 superb dancers who got the privilege of showing their tribute in their own style. They were:

  1. Roja - danced on Mangta hai tu hi tu. Jaaved: Talked about the concept of face merging, morphing and moon walk that was initiated and presented by MJ for the first time.
  2. Charinjeet Kalse - danced on Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” and “look what they’ve done to the world”. Judges talked about album Motown, costume and the moonwalk and its importance.
  3. Piyush Bhagat - 11yrs old - danced on song “They don’t care about us”. Naved spoke about the message behind the song about bureaucracy and the government. Ravi talked about how Michael Jackson is the biggest celebrity to do the most charity in the world. Also judges encouraged little Piyush to do good work by doing some charity starting at small level.
  4. Abhishek Dixit - danced on song “Mohabbat karle”. A unique and beautiful tribute with one hand. Judges felt he is a big inspiration to this world and gave him a standing ovation. Confidence level of Abhishek was amazing.
  5. Pompy Mundal - danced on song “dream”. Judges spoke about Michael Jackson and Janet Jackson and how they performed together.
  6. Viren Raj Baraik - danced looking just like MJ. Superb dancing. Judges spoke about 30 million dollar that was spent on publicity and about the golden outfit. They also spoke about the album promotion and Naved concluded by an awesome sher.
  7. Abhas Mukherjee - the kid champion is all grown up and paid a lovely tribute. Judges talked about Michael Jackson’s siblings and about his mother and the way she use to sing lullaby. Michael Jackson listening to his mother sing lullaby decided that he wanted to be a singer. They also spoke about his first album “on the wall” that had come out in 1975.
  8. Ajay Shivran - gave a totally professional tribute - beautiful. Danced on song “who’s bad” and also spoke about the great loss.
  9. Paresh Sheridan - danced on song “jhoomo re jhoomo”. Judges spoke about album “smooth criminal” and the concept.
  10. Kiran Waghchawde - gave a heart touching tribute. It was amazingly beautiful. Danced on song from album “Thriller”. Judges spoke about the number of copies that were sold and are still being sold.

Judges spoke wide and clear that Michael Jackson was their HERO and a tribute is the best they could do. A beautiful message by the judges concluded the Saturday night episode:

“The King is dead and he lives on forever!”

Jaaved Jaafferi Last week we saw Jaaved Jaaffery narrating a very beautiful inspirational poem by Kavi Agyat. This poem was narrated as an inspiration to the little cancer patients who visited Boogie Woogie sets from St. Jude’s hospital last Friday.

The poem that Jaaved Jaaffery narrated should serve as an motivation and inspiration not only to the little kids but also to all of us and hence we are proud to bring you the audio clip. Enjoy!

Have a wonderful and blessed day!!

dare How many times in our life we say “I can’t do that”, “I can’t do this”? Maybe plenty more times then its actually required! Well, you are not alone - I do that too ;)

A lot of times we judge ourselves even before trying it out. We fear failure so much that it stops us from taking a risk. Like I said before, we are our worse critic!

Why do we doubt our capabilities? Is it because we fear what the world is going to say in case we fail? Or is it because success is defined to us in a way that makes failure sound ugly and in return it stops us from even trying it out? Many times we don’t want to take a risk. Why? Well what is failure? Not able to pass? or not able to complete a task or work successfully? is it? Is that all? So what? who cares? If we don’t learn it right the first time, we will do the second time or third or tenth time. It’s not a big deal! Albert Einstein had failed making a bulb 99 times and 100th time he succeeded! Did that stop him from trying over and over again? Maybe during his initial phase, people must have laughed at him and his failures and now see, if it wasn’t for him, we probably will still be sitting with candle lights. Oh I do love candle lights ;) But let me not get diverted here.

You must be wondering why am I bringing this topic today? Well, because I thought its the right time to motivate ourselves and do something different. It is time to stop saying “No I can’t do” and convert it into a time that will say “Yes if Jessica can do - so can I!”

Well let us stop for a moment and take a look at the competitions that Boogie Woogie conducts in different categories. We observe that participants are always given different rounds to perform on new themes. They have to prove their ability to the best and so they try to fit in outside their comfort level. It surely must be difficult at first for example for a typical classical dancer to dance a Hip Hop number or a Hip Hop dancer to dance a pure Kathak or Bharatnatyam.  But the one who succeeds eventually is the one with strong determination and will power to try any given task confidently. Why just dance, but in all walks of life we need to be determined and have confidence in ourselves. We need to stop under judging us or criticize us unnecessarily. Remember, its all in our mind. Any profession, hobby or relationship, if we want to make it happen, we sure can! The credit or blame entirely is ours alone! you don’t agree with me? Read below about this real time hero who goes with the name Jessica Cox!!

pic_12288708886731 Jessica Cox is 25 year old girl who lives in Tuscan, Arizona. She was born without arms. She became the first pilot in the world to fly a plane using her feet.

Right from her childhood, nothing stopped Jessica from trying it out. She is multi talented and possess more qualities then any girl with two hands. She lives a life of a perfect normal girl and maintains a bright and shiny smile on her face all the time. Now how many of us crib and complain in our daily life’s? For every silly reason we have someone else ready to blame for. We even fight with God and blame him for all our wrong doings. Are we crazy or what? Maybe the pictures below will make us thank God for the beautiful life that he has given us and stop complaining about every silly reason.

Beautiful isn’t? I am very PROUD of Jessica!! That’s what’s up Girl!! Bravo!

So friends, you know what to do now don’t you? To start off stop saying “I Can’t” because you sure can. You are very much capable of anything. And you know all those crazy dreams that you have inside of you and are fearful to give them a shot - bring them all out!! They aren’t crazy at all - they are beautiful; as beautiful as you are! Once you try, you will only realize nothing is impossible in this crazy world. The world is yours - you just need to reach out and grab it!! It’s your life - go ahead and accomplish your dreams!

red-rose-side Often people when they talk about love, they give different definitions. Love has its own meaning from person to person but the ultimate feeling that it brings is the inner happiness. They say “love is a strong positive emotion of regard and affection which deals with great amount of devotion and pleasure”. It is a feeling that comes on its own instantly or with time but it brings great amount of happiness. Where there is love, there is happiness.

Have you ever wondered why love is connected with heart and not brain? Ok, before I go off the topic let’s skip the brain and heart thing for next time and continue with our topic.

mothersday2 Well it is often observed that when we experiences love, it brings us immense amount of joys and happiness, and the first thing that we end up doing at that time is “dance”. Whether you are just waving your hands in air or shaking yourself up or doing a little boogie woogie but that is called a dance. I remember the very first time I was in the hospital for my sister waiting to hear the good news and as soon as the doctor came out and said my first niece is born, I started dancing – actually nobody would call that a dance except for myself but I sure was jumping out of joy which according to me was dance ;) It’s human nature to dance when we are happy. And happiness is connected with heart and if heart is happy that means there is love. Love reaches our soul and that is why it gives us immense amount of good feeling. That is why we see people dancing in all happy occasions like weddings, birthdays, festivals etc. They say love is the eternal truth in the history of mankind.

Valentine-Heart I read an article published recently on love that said: “Love is patient, love is kind. It has no envy, nor it boasts itself and it is never proud. It rejoices over the evil and is the truth seeker. Love protects; preserves and hopes for the positive aspect of life. Always stand steadfast in love, not fall into it. It is like the dream of your matter of affection coming true. Love can occur between two or more individuals. It bonds them and connects them in a unified link of trust, intimacy and interdependence. It enhances the relationship and comforts the soul. Love should be experienced and not just felt. The depth of love cannot be measured.”

Beautiful and very aptly put! Well love can be experienced even with small things too.

happiness Happiness follows when love is there. Whether you talk about a game, victory or achievement or progression everything brings you happiness. 99 times out of hundred we do things for the love of it; whether it is for love of God, for the love of sport, for the love of victory, for the love of heart, no matter what one talks about, its all due to the love that is involved that when one feels; in turn it brings you the happiness. And happiness when defined is a state of well being characterized by emotions ranging from contentment of intense joy. It may mean different things to different people but it all deals with emotions, feelings and intense joys which are all linked with love.

euphie_the_doctor_of_happiness When a person is happy, they may act in a different way. We all do no denying there. Once it so happened that I had a very tough day, I slogged and slogged and it was brutally cold outside. Anyway after a very long day, long commute, I came back home and I was dead tired. I just wanted to crash on my bed but then I changed and switched on my computer to check my mail. I saw something there that instantly made me dance right on my chair. I had forgotten my tiredness and was feeling as fresh as spring time. That is normal tendency of a human nature. That is the power of love. When one experiences happiness they dance and happiness is nothing but love full of emotions and feelings.

love_park_philadelphia Life gets stagnant after a certain time especially when one has to repeat the same thing again and again. Everyone needs a little extra spark in their life to make the same repeated performance sound like brand new. Love plays that part perfect. Love can be between two individuals, between friends, between families or for your hobby, profession, for your pet or any small or big thing. Look around and pick your spark. Believe me it will add a different energy in anything that you will do. Love is all that we need! Don’t shy away from it.

“One can dance like nobody is watching only when they experience love”

To sum it up, here is the video of a beautiful couple having their first dance – Enjoy!

red-rose-side Before I start to talk about anything today, I want to share a beautiful inspirational short story that I recently read of James Huggins. I tell you, James Huggins is someone who I turn to get motivated or when I need that extra little inspiration to push myself or to complete any task, I visit his website. His inspirational and motivational stories are awesome. Here is one; I know you will like it.

A well known author and poet was working and vacationing on the southern coast of Spain. One morning, very early, he was walking alone on the beach.

The sun was just rising, the rain had ended, the rainbows were magnificent, the sea was calm. While enjoying the beauty around him, he glanced down the beach and saw a lone figure dancing about.

Fascinated by this other person celebrating the day that was to dawn, he moved closer. As he came nearer, he realized that the young man was not dancing but in one graceful movement was picking objects up from off the beach and tossing them into the sea. As he approached the young man, he saw that the objects were starfish.

“Why in the world are you throwing starfish into the water?” he asked.

“If the starfish are still on the beach when the tide goes out and the sun rises higher in the sky, they will die,” replied the young man as he continued tossing them out to sea.

“That’s ridiculous! There are thousands of miles of beach and millions of starfish. You can’t really believe that what you are doing could possibly make a difference.”

The young man picked up another starfish, paused thoughtfully and remarked as he tossed it out into the waves, “It makes a difference to this one.”

dc08 The intention to bring up this story today is not just to talk about making a difference in the society or in someone’s life but about making a difference in our own life. There are many things in life that happens and we may think it’s beyond us to do anything to make it better or we as “one” person cannot do much and get disheartened. But as the famous quote that goes “Khatre khatre se dariya bharti hai” so the same way, every success starts with the single step.

How ever big the task maybe but it all starts small. It’s all in our belief and in our determination. It’s in “not quitting” attitude and working hard to make it better. So let us talk about one person who never gave up and whose determination was rock solid. He surely made a difference in his life by his hard work and for believing in himself.

Let me ask you something - how many jokes have you heard that were on Adnan Sami? I have heard many and also few songs that say “Adnan se lift karadu”. And I am sure you too must have come across plenty to dozen jokes about Adnan. I have seen people laughing every time they saw Adnan on the TV. It’s so easy for anyone to laugh on the expense of others - isn’t? But guess what – who has the last laugh today? Well the reason why I am bringing Adnan Sami’s topic today is because I admire this guy. I have even more respect for him today then ever before. I look up to him as a great inspiration. But for those who don’t know who Adnan Sami is, let me tell you briefly about him.

28look

(The one in center is Adnan Sami)

Adnan Sami is an awesome singer, composer and fastest keyboard player of the world. He has many successful blockbuster albums to his credit. He has made a name in Bollywood and is also heading towards his acting career. They say he soon will be seen in Bhansali’s sister’s debut movie. He was once an over weight singer and weighted more then 300 to 350 pounds. He was time and again was made fun for his obesity. People thought he is a lost case and can never see him loose weight. But Adnan while everyone were busy making fun of him, had something else planning secretly. He started to loose weight. There surely must have been a thousand doubts in his mind if could loose weight successfully. What would be the result? Would he be determined enough to complete his task? Let me tell you something, I try dieting and every time I say I am going to loose so much of weight, I falter at day “four” itself. And instead of loosing, I end up putting on more weight. This has become a big joke but I guess it happens sometimes and maybe due to various reasons such as:

adnan sami Sometimes our will is not strong enough. Sometimes we give up too fast. Sometimes we are too impatient and want to see quick results and any lengthy procedures might make it sound boring and want us to give up. Sometimes physically it’s too strenuous and exasperating. Or sometimes lack of inspiration or motivation. There are plenty of excuses but Adnan had none such excuses. He worked day in and day out and worked real hard. I don’t know who Adnan’s inspiration is but I salute that person. And I give an even bigger salute to sweet Adnan. He is a man who will be looked upon with not only great respect but will also be appreciated for possessing real talent and for being a perfect gentleman.

He proves there is nothing that is impossible in this world. He made a difference to himself and to many that has lost hope on ever loosing the weight. Now many can look up to him and say “yes he did it and so can we!” If we want something badly in life, we can get it, we just have to work towards it but also make sure what we want badly is also legitimate. We all have the potential, we just have to realize that within and work hard towards it till it’s not achieved.

So Friends, go ahead and dream! Go ahead and plan your goals. They are all within your achievable distance. Don’t feel disheartened. Just work hard and God will be there with you - Blessing of course!

Dec 1

IMG_4025 Today is December 1st – the last month of the year begins. For many, it is the holiday month as many holidays fall in December. Every where you see, you will find smiley faces, jovial people and all happy go merry personalities. It is the time when you hear bells really ringing in air and music filling your heart. Yes it is the most beautiful time of the year!

In North American and European continents, 71December is celebrated lavishly as the most beautiful time of the year because Christmas falls in this month. If someone asks me what my favorite month is – I would in a heart beat tell them “December”. This stands true for many reasons – it is because of the pleasantness that is found in air, it is for the holidays, and also for special birthdays – birthdays that are special to our heart. For Boogie Woogie India, December is extra special as two out of three gems birthdays fall in this month – Yes I am talking about Javed Jaffery and Naved Jaffery. And so we begin the celebrations here right at your own blog.

Javed’s birthday is right around the corner on 4th and Naved’s birthday falls at end of the month but IMG_2676before we celebrate the awesome brother’s, lets start by celebrating the one person who is responsible for these perfect brother’s upbringing, the person who gave us two awesome souls whom we adore dearly. The man in question came with a vast exposure of film industry and he still urged the importance of the right traditions, right customs and right upbringing for his family and that is worth many applauds. They say if the foundation is set right then the rest of the things fall in its place on its own and due to the same strong foundation that was laid; the output is that we see perfect mannerisms and gentlemanship that is looked upon with high respect and love.

javed-jaffrey-jagdeep-1 So before we start to celebrate these two brothers, let us celebrate their father – the Man of Honor Mr. Jaffery aka Jagdeep! I strongly feel without celebrating father, it just won’t be fair to celebrate his sons.

Syed Jawaher Ali Jaffery who is more popularly known as Jagdeep has more then 400 films to his credit. He started his career as a child artist. Right from the beginning when he needed to earn money for his living, one thing he set clear for himself was that he would not earn money the wrong way. He preferred working hard but right way and did not opt for any wrong short cuts. He believed in living a respectable life with right standards and traditions.

Talking about his movies, I wish I could write the entire listing but maybe in future we will add to the archive but for now the one role that will always stay ever green in peoples mind is of Soorma Bhopali from movie “Sholay”.

One of his memorable moments is when he acted in a children film “Hum Panchi Ek Dal Ke” and Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru had honored him along with the other child artists. I recently read in one of his interview in which he says “Pandit Nehru” had given him his walking stick which he still has it with him. Isn’t that honorable? I surely think so and very well deserved too.

As an artist, the best year in his film career was one when all his films were nominated in the best childrens film category. K A Abbas’s “Munna”, Raj Kapoor’s “Ab Dilli Door Nahi” and AVM’s “Hum Panchi Ek Dal Ke”. For AVM he worked for almost all of their movies and was their favorite. His career in comedy role started with the movie Do Bigha Zameen and then there was no stopping to it. His first movie as a lead was “Bhabhi” which is my mother’s all time favorite movies. I heard stories of this movie since I was a child.

He worked with almost all the actors from the film fraternity and his favorites are Dilip Kumar, Raj Kapoor and Amitabh Bachan.

He strongly opposes vulgarity in movies and condemns it. He feels movies should be inspired by art, culture and sentiments. These should be the inspiration of a movie maker and not vulgarity. May be that is why we see the same fundaments in both his sons whom you never see, act or behave like any other Bollywood’s Tom, Dick or Harry would act.

In his own words in an interview he said: “We are not just actors. People have a lot of respect for us and believe in what we say. So we have a responsibility towards society and must say the right things for them to absorb.” Very well Said Mr. Jaffery!!

On a lighter note, he also shared the boxing ring one on one with none other then Mohammad Ali in Chicago. In an interview he said: “In a comic scene in Qurbani, I challenge Mohammad Ali for a fight. So when some people were raising funds for building a mosque in Chicago, they invited me and we had a mock fight. And there I was, trading blows with Ali. Thank God it was a mock fight. Else, I shudder to think as to what would have happened to me.”

Mr. Jaffery always stood tall for his principals that he set for himself, his family and also for his strong beliefs. He never sacrificed the love and dedication for home even though he had one of the busiest film careers. He always placed his family as the top priority in his life.

He shares special bond with his sons who look up to him as their number one Hero. As they say, sons carry their fathers name and so both his sons not only carry their fathers name proudly but also set a perfect example for the rest of the world to follow. The relationship is sweet and respectful. They say actions speak louder then words and so when you see the show “Boogie Woogie” and listen to both Javed and Naved’s each and every word and watch their behavior, you can proudly give away the credit to the man who deserves a standing applause who took the pain in taking care of his family and yet saw they don’t get lost on the principals in the glamour world. You can’t help but just fall in love with this family.

Boogie Woogie India’s Salaam to the living legend – Mr. Jaffery

May you live a million healthy years as this world still got a lot to learn from you Amen!!

coexistance They say for everything little madness, craze or obsession is necessary. These are a start to setup a strong determination. The same applies for dance. Without these, one is somehow incomplete. It is necessary that whatever we may do, results should be satisfactory and I am talking about satisfaction of inner soul and not of outer world. We don’t want to do anything in life for the heck of it and if we do for the heck of it, it’s just not right and plus it will be only temporary. Today’s topic is not about madness or craze or obsession or even about doing things for the heck of it but it is about us and what we believe in – whether we get influenced by others or if we do our own thinking and set up our individuality right. But before that I have a little story to say:

under-the-influence I was waiting for one particular movie for several months – “Yuvraaj”!! And last Friday it was released. But I was shocked to read the reviews. Most of the reviews by so called well reputed critics had given only one to 2 and half stars. I felt something was not right somewhere. My heart just didn’t believe in all the nasty stuff that they wrote about this movie. I felt I still was craving to watch this movie. My weekends normally tend to get busy with friends and a lot of times about nearly 30 to 40 friends end up hanging out together but when it came to watching this movie, I found no one wanted to see the movie with me and everyone spoke which critic wrote what and how they didn’t wanted to spend their money on something that got that less stars or some of them just came with some excuse not to come. But I was adamant and felt I needed to wind up my weekend by watching this movie. Anyway, Sunday night, I drove all by myself to the movie theater, bought a ticket and went inside. Though watching movie alone sounded little weird and I thought maybe I would be alone in the movie hall but I found the theater was full. I was excited that there are many people who think like me and decided to watch the movie themselves instead of going by any damn reviews. And so I was happy!

influenceI have one very bad habit. If a movie is bad, then I can’t sit in the movie hall still for entire 2 and half hours. My feet, legs start to hurt and I desperately wait for the movie to get over. Luckily no such thing happened with Yuvraaj as I enjoyed every bit of the movie. But this is what had happened when I went for movie “Dostana” last week. I felt the movie was completely gross, had ridiculous revealing and the story didn’t make any sense but the reviews where 4 to 5 stars and the same so called “reputed” critics had said the movie is a must watch. I am so very tempted to call them names right now but since this is a public blog, I am deciding to behave instead.

good-job Anyway getting back to Yuvraaj, I loved the movie. It was beautiful, colorful, cinematography, choreography, locales were awesome. Anil Kapoor, Salman Khan and Zayed Khan were simply fantabulously great and it sure is one of their best performances till date. Same goes for beautiful Katrina and the music was enchanting and totally mesmerizing. I felt full “Paisa Wasool” for the eleven bucks that I spent on this movie. And as I speak my mind from my heart, it is my turn to say: Go and watch the movie. It is a good entertaining and emotional movie which only strengthens the love and bond of a family and it comes with a beautiful message as well “Independently we live but United we Stand!” And yes it is a “MUST WATCH!” As for the sold critics who wanted to damage the reputation of those involved with the movie, I can only pray “May God put some sense in their head so that they would stop selling their writings for money and do justice to their work” – Amen to that!

There are many reasons why I brought up this movie topic on a dance blog. Here it is:

  • Sometimes we have to decide what is right and wrong ourselves. We may find many talking against and it is up to us to whether we want to get influenced by them or want to take the credit or blame for our own standing. For example: You may feel you are an awesome dancer and has the potential and all necessary credentials to compete in a dance competition. You may have a unique style but that may not be liked by your friends or those surrounding you. They may speak negative. Now it is up to you to let them influence you and back out from competing or try it out yourself. By getting influenced, you are only following their lead but by following your own instinct, you are setting up your own individuality. Worse come worse what may happen – they may be right and you may not get through the audition but if you do get selected that means you dared. And when you dare and get the desired results, the feeling is awesome. So please do DARE and don’t give up anything that you believe strongly in!!
  • If we find our self alone in our standing that does not mean we are wrong. We should be proud and never doubt our self. Just because ten people are saying 2 + 2 = 10 does not mean they are right even though they are in majority. If we feel 2 + 2 = 4 then we must stay put with our feelings and not let anyone shake our instincts. The 10 people maybe influential and learned people but they are only human and to err is human. Sometimes we don’t dare to challenge them and follow their lead because it’s too much to challenge a professional. But be different and do Dare! We may feel alone at start but when we reach our destination, we will find ourselves with tons of people who think on similar grounds as we do so we really are not alone.

dare Never let anyone doubt your own capabilities or shake you from our standing. Never change your loyalties just because the rest is speaking negative. Be yourself, be confident and enjoy your life. At the end of the day nothing counts except for what you believe and how strongly you believe in. As long as one’s believes and actions don’t mean harm to anyone, we are good to go. Don’t wait for encouragement from others to start your project, be the first one to encourage yourself.

And last but not least -

“One doesn’t have to be a “person of influence” to be influential. In fact, the most influential people in anybody’s life are probably not even aware of the things they teach us in everyday life”
