A man arrives at the Pearly Gates, waiting to be admitted. St. Peter reviews the Big Book to see if the man’s name is written in it. After several minutes, St. Peter closes the book, furrows his brow and says, I’m sorry, but I don’t see your name written in the Big Book.

How current is your copy? asks the man

I get downloaded every ten minutes. St. Peter replies. Why do you ask?

I’m embarrassed to admit it, but I was always the stubborn type, explains the man. It was not until my death was imminent that I cried out to God, so my name probably hasn’t arrived to your copy yet.

I’m glad to hear that, acknowledges St. Peter, but while we are waiting for the update to come through, you can tell me an extraordinary deed you did during your lifetime.

The man thinks for a moment and then says: “well there was this one time when I was driving down a road and I saw a group of biker gang members harassing this poor girl. I slowed down to take a look and sure enough they were about 20 of them torturing this poor lady. I got out of my car, grabbed a tire iron from the trunk, and approached the leader of the gang. Sure enough the bikers formed a circle around me and told me to get lost or I’d be next. But I went ahead and smashed the leader over the head with the tire iron. Then, I turned to the others and yelled; “Leave this poor innocent girl alone! You are all a bunch of sick, deranged animals. Go home before I really teach you a lesson in pain!”

St. Peter duly impressed exclaims; “Wow! when did this all happen?”

The man replies: “oh about 3 minutes ago”

Yesterday, we mentioned to all Boogie Woogie fans to write to us for what they think about this 3 month break and we were thoroughly surprised to received 362 mails in one day pouring their hearts out. Yes I guess this is what the Boogie Woogie magic is. And why it shouldn’t be? They worked hard enough for it and have gained the respect and regards for 13 years plus.

Honestly we have not got a chance to go through all of the emails but there is one sweet email that caught our eye instantly and we just couldn’t help publishing it.

They say “A smile happens in a flash, but its memory can last a lifetime!” We shall bring more of fan mails in coming days but for now please read little Shruti’s fan mail below:

I miss you more than words can say,

Yes, you heard it right! Boogie Woogie takes a three month seasonal break making room for the DPL that started last Friday night.

This was bad news for fans of Boogie Woogie who were addicted to watching the show. The three month break would be hard for us but then we know this time will fly even faster then usual and we shall get back to watching our show in no time. We do hope all at R & N TV Productions get to do what they haven’t been able to do due to their hectic schedules. On behalf of all fans we wish them a fantabulous time and request them to be back as soon as possible!

Few years ago, Boogie Woogie went off air but when it came, it came back with a bang being lot more better and bigger. This three month break is only a breeze for all the hard working crew and before they even realize it, the show will be back on.

As for “us” fans of Boogie Woogie and aspirants of Boogie Woogie, we shall wait with baited breath for our favorite show to be back on air AND we do know “NO SHOW CAN BE A BOOGIE WOOGIE OR COME EVEN CLOSER!”

A “Tribute” is an act, a statement or a gift that is intended to show gratitude, respect or admiration for someone that is highly respected and loved and who else would understand a tribute better then this site? This site stands as a biggest tribute for Javed, Naved and Ravi speaking of their goodness and humility day after day week after week but not all can understand that. In this world where people find it difficult to trust, we stand courageously as the die hard fans and are very proud of our thinking.

On June 25th we heard the shocking news of Michael Jackson’s death. We were as utterly shocked as the rest of the world. Very soon many to zillions tributes started flowing in for the great maestro Michael Jackson but on the same day we wrote if a true tribute is paid to Michael Jackson then it has to come from Boogie Woogie home. No one can pay a tribute that Boogie Woogie can or is capable of and our words came true. If you are wondering why we felt that then here it is for you:

A tribute is a tribute only when it comes from a heart. I don’t know about other writers but I can never pen down anything if I do not feel from my heart. Not that its not possible, anything is possible in this world and so for the sake of ones work, someone can always write to present a tribute but then the there is a whole lot of difference between a tribute that is presented that comes for the sake of work or money versus the one that is presented with lots of feelings and emotions attached. Boogie Woogie’s tribute to Michael Jackson was one that was true, respectable, honest and came with lots of gratitude and information.

We all know that Javed, Naved and Ravi are a HUGE fan of Michael Jackson don’t we? Yes they are! They grew up admiring this hero and learning from him. They respected him not just for his music or his performances but for the man that he was. Honestly if you ask me if I am a huge fan of Michael Jackson then I would say not as much as I am a huge fan of Javed, Naved and Ravi. For me its easy to write pages on them but honestly I cannot do the same on MJ and that’s because I grew up only listening to his music and never got a chance to learn the man that he was. The attachment was clearly missing in me but then Boogie Woogie’s tribute taught me many things about Michael Jackson and the result is I admire him lot more today then I did yesterday. The way Boogie Woogie presented their tribute and informed about each and every piece of video that they played talking about its history and the concept was simply beautiful. They brought to light many finer things about Michael Jackson that maybe a big portion of Indian population was not aware of. In simple words it was great to see the heroes of this site talk about their heroes.

Boogie Woogie gave a chance to many Michael Jackson fans to pay tribute to him on their stage. There were 10 superb dancers who got the privilege of showing their tribute in their own style. They were:

1. Roja - danced on Mangta hai tu hi tu. Jaaved: Talked about the concept of face merging, morphing and moon walk that was initiated and presented by MJ for the first time.
2. Charinjeet Kalse - danced on Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” and “look what they’ve done to the world”. Judges talked about album Motown, costume and the moonwalk and its importance.
3. Piyush Bhagat - 11yrs old - danced on song “They don’t care about us”. Naved spoke about the message behind the song about bureaucracy and the government. Ravi talked about how Michael Jackson is the biggest celebrity to do the most charity in the world. Also judges encouraged little Piyush to do good work by doing some charity starting at small level.
4. Abhishek Dixit - danced on song “Mohabbat karle”. A unique and beautiful tribute with one hand. Judges felt he is a big inspiration to this world and gave him a standing ovation. Confidence level of Abhishek was amazing.
5. Pompy Mundal - danced on song “dream”. Judges spoke about Michael Jackson and Janet Jackson and how they performed together.
6. Viren Raj Baraik - danced looking just like MJ. Superb dancing. Judges spoke about 30 million dollar that was spent on publicity and about the golden outfit. They also spoke about the album promotion and Naved concluded by an awesome sher.
7. Abhas Mukherjee - the kid champion is all grown up and paid a lovely tribute. Judges talked about Michael Jackson’s siblings and about his mother and the way she use to sing lullaby. Michael Jackson listening to his mother sing lullaby decided that he wanted to be a singer. They also spoke about his first album “on the wall” that had come out in 1975.
8. Ajay Shivran - gave a totally professional tribute - beautiful. Danced on song “who’s bad” and also spoke about the great loss.
9. Paresh Sheridan - danced on song “jhoomo re jhoomo”. Judges spoke about album “smooth criminal” and the concept.
10. Kiran Waghchawde - gave a heart touching tribute. It was amazingly beautiful. Danced on song from album “Thriller”. Judges spoke about the number of copies that were sold and are still being sold.

Judges spoke wide and clear that Michael Jackson was their HERO and a tribute is the best they could do. A beautiful message by the judges concluded the Saturday night episode:

“The King is dead and he lives on forever!”

When Boogie Woogie conducts auditions, they display it on the TV screens, and once they inform in their show about auditions, they will surely conduct in Delhi too. Hi Deeras: We don’t know about the next auditions date for Boogie Woogie Chalo America. Please keep watching your local Sony channel in US and when they conduct the auditions they will advertise on the screen. Do record the auditions information for your safety. As far as age cut off is concerned, I don’t think it should be any problem. But if they decide to have for only a particular group then they will inform at the time of auditions. This is in reference to the ongoing Auditions for your Esteemed Serial “BOOGI WOOGI”
Show and especially my 7 year old son Mihir.
I would also like to inform you that he as he too is an exceptionally good Dancer and Performer. He till date has participated in more than 10 competitions and has won 7 of them. He has also participated in various Cultural and Festival shows.
Also note that he has tremendous talent and can definitely prove him. Hi Mr. Soni, good to know that you already sent your sons VCD to Mumbai. Well the thing is that as far as I know, if R & N Productions like the performance and when that meets their particular category, they will contact you directly. For example, you sent your VCD to them now and let’s say they liked your sons audition but they do not have any requirement for Kids program right now as they are busy running other categories so they will keep the audition tape until the need arises and will contact at that particular time. So to be precise, there can be two reasons why you did not hear from them - one, if they liked what they saw then they might contact you later or two, if they didn’t like the performance then they will not contact or inform. Please wait and see what’s in store. We wish you the very best!

Hi Sneha, this question only Boogie Woogie can answer but my understanding tells that for a group performance, only one form should be sufficient. You will need to write all of the dancers names on that form. Good luck dear!

Geetha: I think Boogie-Woogie US has no standards after 2006, for 2007 there were only two judges, one is a singer other one is Jimmy Shergal the guy who doesnt even know how to spell dance. For 2008 the reason behind the winners because of Mr.Mahajan’s students. Something under the table stuff is going on here. If this is not serious you should stop the event. This is kind of very non-sence.

MSM-Sony has a very retarded way of working when it comes to Chalo America events and on top of that they are the biggest morons to blame others without any rhyme or reason for their own stupid faults. I do hope R & N TV Productions will not allow any further auditions in America to be conducted by sony if they are not free to do so. Hi Lizi, the song that Ripanpreet danced as her last performance was “mohabbat banke jawani aayi” on Saturday night and on Friday she danced on “Ishq Kamina” but if you were asking for the previous week’s song when she danced along with Jhalak choreographer Maricha Fernandes then it was “ahun ahun” from movie Love Aaj Kal.

i am a regular viewer of Boogie woogie programme since 1996. I like your programme a lot. Some time back Mr. Ganesh Acharya’s daughter performed on this show on the song Pappu can’t dance saala. Which was choriographed by her only. Can you air this performance once more or can you send me the video of that. I liked that performance a lot. The facial expressions and dance movements were really amazing.

One, wait for Boogie Woogie to conduct the auditions in one of the nearest location from your place and give a face to face audition or else make a VCD/ DVD of the best performance of your daughter and mail it to Firdaus at R & N TV Productions mailing address in Mumbai. Hi Sangita, thanks so much for the encouraging message. I try to answer although I am not the right person so sometimes it gets uncomfortable answering. I am very sorry for the delay in answering this time. There has been a lot on my plate and due to which the delay occurred but hoping to be back to normal as of today. As far as auditions are concerned, I have my eyes open dear. Boogie Woogie has not telecasted any audition details on their screen till now but as soon as they do, I will put up the information on this site for easy access. Also since they just finished with Mummy’s championship, there wont be any auditions for mummy’s till next year. Will inform you more as I come to know more. Thanks again dear and keep visiting

Hi Sonia, as per my knowledge there are many competitions that Boogie Woogie helds that doesn’t require a married or non married status and you can very well be part of any category except for kids championships. Please keep watching Boogie Woogie and when they conduct auditions, they will telecast the information on your TV screen with details. Hi Sunmit, I am very sorry I don’t have any videos. We use to upload long time ago but have stopped them due to copyright issues. But you can always download the recent video of Dharmesh Yalende from apni community. That site bring videos every week religiously. Also you can try India Forums.

Sorry for combine answer to all due to common question asked. The answer is, we do not know of any auditions as of yet. Please keep watching Boogie Woogie and when R & N TV Productions decide to have auditions, they will telecast details on the TV screens. As for this website, after they telecast, we will publish the same information taking it from the TV screen for your easy access. Saturday night brought 5 more performances to compete in Boogie Woogie’s Best of Best. The first group to compete was Jai Hanuman Kalamanch who were beautifully dressed in a attractive costume in yellow and orange color. Jai Hanuman group as the name suggests danced on Hanuman Chalisa. They started by forming a lotus. The lighting that was used for this group dance was fabulous and it added lot of charm to the performance. The group did a semi classical dance and their synchronization was beautiful. Good coordination between the group and the closure especially lifting Hanuman was beautifully done. One could also see that Ravi was impressed by the group and was seen applauding at many times.

The next group that came to rock was Mumbai Rocks Group who came in with their Break Dance. The group was dressed up in silver and golden color costumes and threw in a cute and entertaining performance. The group’s performance came in with extra excitement because they danced on Jaaved Jaaffery’s song “My name is Mika” from movie Singh is King. Jaaved as usual had a humble look and watched the performance with a smile on his face. The group received good compliments for their performance.

The next performer that came in to entertain comes in Boogie Woogie’s best performers and that is Dharmesh Yelande. Dharmesh did popping and he choose pure desi music to accompany his dance. There are many who do hip hop dancing but watch Dharmesh and you will know why he is counted in the best of Boogie Woogie dancers. His performance was superb and should not be missed. Dharmesh adds his own touch to anything that he picks to perform making it more special. Definitely Must Watch! The after performance got good compliments from the judges with Jaaved saying something new was found in his performance and that he maintained his energy level really good all the way till end. Ravi mentioned about how wonderfully he controlled his breath even while performing tough tasks. Naved complimented him on his sense of rhythm. The judges felt that Dharmesh performance was of international level and have wished him good for his future. Don’t miss it folks – it is MUST WATCH!

The fourth performer that came in to perform is definitely my favorite and I really look forward to seeing him on Boogie Woogie stage all the time! Hari Nath Reddy came in with something new and in his special contemporary style. I feel very strongly that Hari Nath Reddy is not just a simple dancer but a complete artist, a complete performer – he is an opera in himself. If Hari decides to take up theatre, he should be applauded by packed houses and I wouldn’t be exaggerating if I am saying Hari Nath Reddy is Boogie Woogie’s BEST FIND ever!! This time too Hari came with an unusual act of good and bad and acted as half human and half animal. He colored his body and gave a thrilling performance. He choose a Telugu song “Abhay Kumara”to perform. Hari’s narration of his performance was superb and definitely is MUST MUST WATCH! He is such a fine artist that manages to give you goose bumps every time he comes on stage. The after performance talk informed that he has been offered two movies in Telugu and will be seen in about 10 scenes. We “Boogie Woogie India Blog” feel these two movies are only a small beginning for Hari Nath Reddy and he definitely has long way to go. Music has no language and the way Hari Nath narrates in his performance, it speaks wide and clear of his concept making people his instant fan and so we wish Hari Nath Reddy many super hit movies and we do hope he will be recognized of his talent world wide. God bless him!! The judges also spoke of Hari Nath Reddy’s brother Krishna who has been receiving many accolades all over. We would like to speak about Krishna and his group in another article as its ready to be published with many surprises and some questions. Please wait for it. But coming back to Boogie Woogie’s top notch star – Hari Nath Reddy, he also will be seen soon along with Prabhudeva in a Telugu movie. Naved praised Hari and spoke about humility and the best was he sang a song “Mera hi Jalwa” from movie Wanted. Jaaved said his blessings and prayers are with him and may he progress lot more. Ravi informed that he too is extremely happy with the progress that both brothers are making and said their progress is Boogie Woogie’s progress. Well said!!

The last group of this Best of the Best week was Fictitious group who already had made waves with their couple of performances. I think the best compliment that any performer receives is when he is compared with the most popular group and gains fans and accolades from all over. Yes Fictitious group with their first performance itself gained instant stardom compared with Rohan & Group but mind it they are no one time wonders but every time they came to Boogie Woogie brought a improved and a step ahead performance. I was sure that this time too in Best of Best “Rohan & Group” will be seen and would walk away with the trophy but surprisingly they were absent from Boogie Woogie. What’s the reason? Maybe busy with other shows. Anyway Fictitious Group fills the space that was there with Rohan & Group’s absence and they do an amazingly wonderful job. They literally makes you forget judges favorite group. Fictitious group, this time came with B-boying and wore a blue color costume with white color gloves. It was one neat performance that you end up watching with wide opened eyes. The coordination was superb. The stunts that were performed were amazing. I loved the birds act and it was one neatest act in long time. The rotation on head was superb and should spin your head in wonder. It definitely was Must Watch! The after performance talk brought many compliments from the judges with Jaaved speaking that it was very well put together act. The group informed that they also have been taken in few movies such as “Blue” and “What’s your rashii” and said it was all possible because of Boogie Woogie. Well said!! This is only a beginning guys, keep up the good work!

After a flash back the results were announced and this time the results bring a big wide smile on the performers as they all were announced as winners. Awesome!!
