Ravi and Naved this weekend started a new business venture dealing with restrooms and nature calls on roads. For men of course There were many hilarious spoofs dealing with the same subject and should surely make you laugh. Must watch! There were entertaining!

The first mother to start off partner round week 2 was Mamta Praveen who brought her friend as her partner Jui Patel. Both Mamta and Jui danced a classical on classical music piece which you heard on Boogie Woogie before and that goes something like “dhin dha dha re dha re dhin…” If anyone knows the title of this beautiful music piece, please do let us know or the movie or album it has been taken from. We would appreciate. But coming back to Mamta’s performance – in one word, it was beautiful. I totally enjoyed watching her and her partner performing gracefully but I felt the performance was short. They wore beautiful red, silver classical dress which went pretty well with the performance. Both the dancers carried the performance with good smiles and expressions. The after performance talk was touching especially to know how things were during Mamta’s time and how dance was looked upon with disrespect. Mamta was interested in dance and her mother was the only soul who supported her in midst of criticism. Judges spoke words of encouragement.

The second mother who performed was Mamta Srivastava who also got her friend Raja to perform in partner round. Both Mamta and Raja picked a comedy number by Govinda and Raveena to perform and they danced on song “mein cycle se jaa raha tha”. Mamta wore a red and black costume and Raja wore a red pant and yellow shirt. If you forget the technicalities, you will definitely find this performance highly entertaining and fun. If you are in totally bindaas mood then it might also make you whistle. But coming back to judges and their opinion in after performance talk, Javed did point out that there was more drama and less dance but on the whole it was good. The pairs which goes well with the judges according to Mamta were – Ravi with Urmila and she also sang the song “Jao tum chahe jaha” and did a wonderful job. Then she paired Naved with Rani Mukherjee and Javed with Katrina Kaif. What is must watch is Javed’s expression when he was paired with Katrina Kaif and then he utters, “mujhe pange nahi lena hai”. But Javed, Katrina does look good with you and I really hope to see you in a movie with Salman and Katrina!!

The next mother to perform was Geeta Soni who danced with her friends daughter Niharika who is 14 years old. Geeta wore a pink color lehanga and Niharika wore a yellow color. They both danced on evergreen hit song “kaanta laga”. The synchronization between both the dancers was fabuloous and it was fast and the steps chosen were great. They also had good expressions and the performance was totally entertaining. What is really must watch is Ravi as he was at his best bringing more humor to the show. Geeta’s sister came in to support her sister. There were hilarious moments regarding gulab jamun and the other sweets for the judges.

The next mummy to perform was Saili Desai who danced with Prashant Taware as her partner. This performance in two words is “MUST WATCH”. Both Saili and Prashant danced on yesteryears famous evergreen hit “are ja re natkhat” and did a fabulous job. The dance came with great expressions, it was beautiful, fast paced  and with the right amount of dancing steps. Saili’s performance keeps you glued to your seats and your eyes glued on your television sets. It was the best performance of the evening. The dancing couple got good compliments from the judges and Javed came with the best comments regarding the performance. The after performance talk was funny as Mamta talks about the commute from Nalasupara to Mumbai and about load shedding and hear the judges responses to her comment. It was hilarious.

The next mother to dance was Agila Mathews who came with Milhaj Vohra as her partner. Agila wore a red and black ghagra and Milhaj wore a red color dhoti. They both danced on song “dhol baaje” song from movie hum dil de chuke sanam. I felt the energies were good and also some of the steps that they took were fast and in synch. Also the rotations that they performed were fabulous. It was a very good attempt. The couple looked disappointed after the performance. Again, I would say, if the couple didn’t talk about something going wrong with the performance, audience would NOT have known it. A lot of times, we are our own critic and the same was done by the couple. They critized their performance by talking that something went wrong. If they wouldn’t have done that, audience would not have known. Sometimes, its wise not to talk or point the mistakes on our own. But one thing I love about Agila is anytime she is asked how are you, she answers back saying “I am very fine”. The positivity from her reply rubs on to others. She informed that she never gets angry ever. Awesome! Regarding her performance, Javed felt the overall connectivity between the couple wasn’t there. But it was good performance.

The last performance of the evening was from Ripanpreet Sidhu who got her friend Guneet Kaur as her partner. Both Ripanpreet and Guneet were dressed up as Sardaar boys and wore blue color shorts and turbuns in red with gray shirt and tie. This performance can be called the cutest performance of the evening minus the hawa ka jhokas. But both Ripanpreet and Guneet did even the hawa ka jhoka part with utmost comfort bringing humor to their performance. They started to dance on medley of two songs which started with dil da mamla and taare gin gin. They were energetic and the steps they did were great. The after performance talk was hilarious especially when she spoke about “Ravi ache lagte the” and the way she asked for forgiveness from her husband and other judges. The narration about her son being asked to watch TV was hilarious. Ripanpreet again will win your heart as she talks about her aspirations and how she wants to pursue her studies. She also goes emotional speaking about her inability to speak English and what people think of non English speakers in her town. Judges did point out that the language does not matter and what she is and her personality, it overtakes the rest. They also complimented her with great words and said they always enjoy listening and talking to her.

With this Friday nights episode ended with a promise to bring the remaining mothers to perform on Saturday night which will be the last episode of Partners round!
