Saturday night continued with Bharat ke Rang Mummy ke Sang episode in its Mummy’s Championships. After couple of jokes and joota baarish, we got to hear a beautiful message on national integration by Jaaved Jaaffery.
The first mother to perform on Saturday night was Neelu Rai who performed a Northeastern Indian dance. Neelu wore a beautiful red and black costume and performed a very attractive dance. There was lots of charm, enthusiasm in the dance, something that makes you want to join them. The dance with the bamboo sticks, rotations on bamboo was cool. And we got to hear “I Love You” from both Neelu and her husband which the judges has started to enjoy listening to every week. Aren’t they funny or what?
The next mother to perform was Shilpa Joshi who got Bengali theme and performed a Bengali machwara dance. She too wore a beautiful red saree which added extra charm to her performance. She started off with faster steps and then continued with the theme of Durga. Her performance was carried with all the much needed expressions. I liked the closure of her performance. The after performance talk informed us that Shilpa would like to teach dance but wants to learn little bit more before she can take up the career.
The third mother to perform was Saba Bari who got Daandiya as her theme. Saba has
been surprising week after week with great entertaining performances and this week too she comes in with one energetic and fabulous performance. She wore beautiful maroon and white ghagra and carried great expressions and smile all through the way. She danced on medley of songs and the steps during pari hu mein was awesome. She manages to get your entire attention and keeps your eyes glued to her performance. The dancing with florescent lights was cool. The after performance talk brought all the spicy talk when Saba mentioned that Ripanpreet shouldn’t go ahead as she doesn’t have a fighting spirit. The exchange of dialogues between both the mummy’s was interesting to watch. It was good healthy debate.
After the debate, Ripanpreet Sidhu was the next who came in to prove her fighting spirit and also to try something totally different that she never did before – Launi (Maharashtrian dance). Ripanpreet wore a pretty green Maharashtrian saree and danced to a regional folk song. Her thoomkaas were great. Her steps were good and she looked completely different especially after seeing her in the hot new look, it was difficult to picture her in traditional saree. But a performance well done! Ripanpreet’s last few seconds of the performance was good with the change in music. The after performance talk was funny.
The next mummy to perform was Darshana Kohli who performed an Odissi dance. She
wore a red color saree and danced on one of my most favorite song “Piya Basanti Re”. This song added lots of strength to the performance and Darshana didn’t leave any leaf unturned to make this performance complete and beautiful. When the music was changed to faster track, the change in steps that were used were beautiful. Darshana got good compliments from the judges and one of the compliment was that her dance had “Grace and Fluidity”. Boogie Woogie surprised Darshana by inviting her family to the show and she was pleasantly surprised to see them. They got Mawa Jalebi for the judges.
The last mother to perform on Saturday night
was pretty lady Geeta Soni who got Holi ka Tyohaar. She wore pretty pink chudidaar and danced prettily. It sure looked like Ravi enjoyed the performance the most as he had the most wider smile and was grooving with the music. Geeta danced to a mix of songs with Rang Barse song dominating. The ched chad in the performance was good. Geeta and the Boo dancers played holi on the sets and the entire Boogie Woogie changed into the colorful festival. The after performance talk made Geeta emotional when the judges started to talk about her husband. We do hope to see him on Boogie Woogie stage soon. Ravi was funny and cheered Geeta to his best. Good job Ravi!!
After the flash back, the results were announced and the unfortunate mummy to get eliminated this week was Lavanya. We wish her the very best for all her future endeavors and we do hope to see her back on Boogie Woogie stage soon.
