There is only one show that can’t keep you away from loving it – Boogie Woogie! If your question is why then Friday night’s episode will answer your question wide and clear. The rest of the shows are only impersonators!! But coming back to the show, Friday night’s episode was one of the cutest this month!! It had one of the sweetest start which will make you feel proud and also will bring a really big smile on your face.
It all started with Ravi and Naved and Idea
advertisement. There were hilarious moments especially with the walk and talk speech. I think Boogie Woogie judges are the only judges in the world who would agree to the joota baarish script for themselves. Javed added his own charm. There is a very sweet and beautiful poem that Javed narrated which we shall put it for you in audio form in an separate article. I must say Javed’s new look (hair style and color) rocks and looks fabulous on him.
Boogie Woogie supports a good cause and invited and welcomed little cancer patients to their stage. Ms. India Universe Ekta Choudhary came to Boogie Woogie stage to introduce the kids and thanked Boogie Woogie for giving the kids a chance to perform
on the prestigious stage. The next we saw was kids dancing on song “Pappu can’t dance saala”. Don’t miss out for anything in this world!! It should rejuvenate life in you and firm your believe in God and touches your heart like never before. Priya Dutt who spoke about Tata Memorial and the kids also thanked Boogie Woogie in a special message and spoke words of goodness. There are very few politicians who do good for the betterment of the society without any biases and Priya Dutt tops that list. As Javed said, she sure would be a much needed and fabulous political leader of tomorrow. Her message was wide and clear and beautiful. God Bless Her!! The only annoying thing that I found was of course from crazy Sony channel who put a toad on side of the television for “Mujhe iss jungle se bachao” and there was a very loud and ugly toad noise that was interrupting Priya Dutt’s message. Well, I am not fond of cursing Sony all the time but then they do senseless crap all the time that I just can’t help but use my vocabulary. Maybe they need a change in their staff!
Back to Mummy’s Championship 2009 – The theme this week for all 12 mummy’s was “Bharat ke Rang Mummy ke Sang”.
The first mummy to dance on this beautiful Friday night was Saili Desai and she performed on Ganesh Utsav. She wore a green blouse with green and blue bottom and wore a pot over her head. She danced fabulously and gave excellent expression and her smile was great. Her dance was fast paced and to carry the stuff over head and also do all the movements finely deserves applaud. Her neck and shoulder shake was worth watching. She did manage to get good comments from the judges especially from Javed. The after performance talk brought all the spice that was needed to turn your head, pointing at another mummy’s weakness. But then Boogie Woogie does manage to carry the argument with grace.
The next mother was sweet Lavanya and she picked Goan Dance to perform in the Bharat ke Rang Mummy ke Sang episode. She wore a pretty orange and white outfit and did threw in a fast paced and sweet and funny number. Her steps were funny yet all were rhythmic. Don’t miss out on her hip shaking, it was fabulous. The lift in the end was cool. There were funny comments by the judges on her weight and they also discussed about love and arrange marriage. Well all I can say is I loved Lavanya’s smile and her dance and she did succeed to fill the stage with life.
The next mother to perform was Ritu Gupta
who got Punjab rang “Bhangra” as her theme. Now watch this Gujratan do a bhangra and awe you in praise. She did a fantastic job and danced on song “Kala Shah Kala”. I loved the start of the performance till the very end. It was one very entertaining and fabulously done performance. Ritu was very energetic and her stunts, steps that she took were amazing. It was real bhangra!! Her rotations, the lying down part was too good too. In one word, it was “Superhit”!! Ritu got good comments from the judges. It was also very sweet to listen to great compliments by her hubby who came in to support her.
The next mother to perform after Ritu was Deepa Singh who got a Rajasthani theme and
performed on a Rajasthani folk song that is my the favorite among all Indian folk songs. And so she instantly won my heart. Well Deepa’s performance was divided into two folk songs. It was beautiful to watch her perform with sword in her mouth and dance on thaali, also her rotations were fabulous. Her dance was also fast paced and very entertaining. There was a surprise that was waiting for Deepa and that was her birthday celebration by the judges on the stage itself. I think the people who get wished by them on their birthdays are really lucky and so Deepa was one of the luckiest to see one of the best birthday on Boogie Woogie. Her eyes said it all as she was overwhelmed. It was too cute to watch the judges dance with all mummy’s and everyone feeding Deepa her birthday cake.
The fifth mother to perform was the one who had performed only western till date but this time she came with totally Indian – Sonia Dias! Sonia
danced Kathakali and was dressed up classically. She looked totally different from her previous image. She danced fabulously especially the sword and shield work was very neat. She danced on AR Rahman’s regional song. The rope fighting was excellently done, the bamboo stick fight dance was superb, the pot breaking and the rest of the details were all finer and worth all your appreciation. Her work was the best till date and this performance should definitely come under one of the best performances of Boogie Woogie that audience should cherish. Her overall theme and the narration should be loved by one and all from audience point of view and if there were votes, she surely would have grabbed them all. The after performance talk again brought some spicy talk which makes you little nervous thinking if the fight would break but is taken very well by fellow participants. They talk about coming out from the comfort zone and dancing like never before. Watch Javed maintaining his silence while everyone is discussing their opinion!
The last mother to perform on Boogie Woogie stage on Friday night was Harpreet Kaur and she gets Gokul Ashtami. Watch judges dance
and introduce Harpreet for Gokul Ashtami – there were funny! Harpreet wore a blue color saree and danced on evergreen Amitabh hit “Machgaya shor” song. Watch her matkas and jhatkas. Though her dance started off with simpler steps but she totally surprises you in the last half when she moves to finer steps and also breaks the dahi ki matki. That part takes the cake. The after performance talk was hilarious especially when she says “mummy’s pahunchivi hai” and judges narration of it. Her saying send all mummy’s home and make her the winner was sweet. Her Husband who came in to support her had good sense of humor and spoke good. Lavanya’s dialogue was funny and sweet.
With this judges thanked Priya Dutt for her message and spoke words of praise for her. Must Watch Episode!!
