laughHappens sometimes: A young man was walking through a supermarket to pick up a few things when he noticed an old lady following him around. Thinking nothing of it, he ignored her and continued on. Finally he went to the checkout line, but she got in front of him. "Pardon me," she said, "I’m sorry if my staring at you has made you feel uncomfortable. It’s just that you look just like my son, who I haven’t seen in a long time." "That’s a shame," replied the young man, "is there anything I can do for you?" "Yes," she said, "as I’m leaving, can you say ‘Good bye, Mother!’ It would make me feel so much better." "Sure," answered the young man. As the old woman was leaving, he called out, "Good bye, Mother!" As he stepped up to the checkout counter, he saw that his total was $127.50. "How can that be?" he asked, "I only purchased a few things!" "Your mother said that you would pay for her," said the clerk.

mom1 Mother’s Advice to Daughter
Mother one day advised her daughter: Cook a man a fish and you feed him for a day. But teach a man to fish and you get rid of him for the whole weekend.

momcartoon Tommy’s Mommy
For weeks a six-year old boy kept telling his first-grade teacher about the baby brother or sister that was expected at his house. One day the mother allowed the boy to feel the movements of the unborn child. The six-year old was obviously impressed, but made no comment. Furthermore, he stopped telling his teacher about the impending event. The teacher finally sat the boy on her lap and said, "Tommy, whatever has become of that baby brother or sister you were expecting at home?" Tommy burst into tears and confessed, "I think Mommy ate it!"

Super_Mom In about two days from now, many mummy’s will be appearing for auditions for Boogie Woogie’s Mummy Championships. While you are sweating away practicing your skills and preparing your auditions, we thought we would let you know we are right here in support of you. We are your cheer leaders a vitual one ;) So don’t get too tensed and relax yourself a bit. It’s only an audition but yes it is for BOOGIE WOOGIE so that’s what’s up! You are going to be part of 2009 Mummy Championships auditions or even more :D

mom You know mummy’s, being a mother is THE greatest award from God that you already have achieved so now don’t worry about the little auditions, just give your best, have fun and come back to your loving home sweet home. Whether you get selected or not, your family and all of us will always be proud of you.

Now few more suggestions……………….

  • Make sure to check your list and carry your application form, audio CD (two copies), your ID card
  • Make sure to carry your humbleness. Smile and show you are a happy person.
  • Maintain your cool – you are the coolest mother so maintain you’re cool at the venue. Please don’t go impatient if the line ahead of you is too long or if you have to wait long for your turn. Also there are going to be others, who will speak loud or even try to make a scene, please keep yourself a little away from them because you never know when anyone can turn the blame on you and takes a neat slate. Avoid all arguments. Don’t try to find out what happened with others.
  • Carry some juice or soda and water, maybe couple of fruits or snacks so that they are useful when you are hungry but avoid eating anything just before your audition. At least give an hour’s gap between your meals and dance.
  • If you need to use restroom make sure as soon as you enter try to find out where it is so that you don’t waste time in searching for it later. Make sure you are fine and not in need of restroom right at time of audition. Don’t drink too much water that it makes you use restroom for every few minutes neither dehydrate yourself .. lol
  • Practice well to remember all your steps and in case God forbid you forget anything, don’t freeze, just continue making some own steps and complete your performance. Try to cover your mistake smoothly and hide it well with your smile.
  • When you come out from your audition, don’t discuss your performance or what they said inside with anyone. Keep everything to yourself. Sometimes discussing backfires. We know lots of mummy’s are going in for audition in different cities who visit this web site everyday so please don’t discuss anything regarding your experience even here on this blog nor give any feedback. It’s perfectly alright not to get a feedback. We are more interested in you then to know what happened at Boogie Woogie auditions. We really want you to be in their safe and trusted list and we pray that you make it to the list of finalists.
  • bozo If you get mad for any reason and need to take your anger out – feel free to punch Bozo the clown. He will be more then happy to take all your punches and will still smile back at you. We will rename him and instead of calling him Bozo the clown, we will call him “Phitte Muh”. How’s that? ;)
  • Last but definitely not least – remember you are BEAUTIFUL! Go have fun, take it as an experience and if it works out, it works out, if it doesn’t, it doesn’t. It’s Good_luck_horseshoeperfectly alright. Whatever happens always happen for the best! I remember when I was in college, me and my friend use to try weird things in college just for fun like participating in regional language elocution competition where as we did not speak even ABC of it. So take this as a break from your usual routine. As a mother you already work very hard 24/7, this is your day to have fun. Feel great about yourself as you are AWESOME!!

Have fun mothers and WISH YOU ALL THE VERY BEST!!

Chakk De Phatte!!

2 Dear Friends,

May 10th is Ravi Behl’s birthday and we are planning to celebrate grandly right here on your own blog. Last year we received lots of messages and greetings for Naved’s birthday and we are planning to carry forward the same idea along with some other “surprises” for Ravi’s birthday.

If you like your wishes for Ravi to be published on Boogie Woogie India Blog, please send it to us latest by May 7th at sansuiboogiewoogie@gmail.com

Please feel free to add pictures, graphics, colorful copy and pastes or whatever you may think is right to greet your favorite judge/mentor/idol. We also encourage videos and audio clippings and also youtube, dailymotion links. All greetings received will be picture shot to fit and publish on the blog. Please also feel free to write in any language that you are comfortable with.

I am working with a very tight schedule for the month of May due to personal stuff going on and hence May 7th will be the last day to accept greetings for Ravi’s birthday. So please send your wishes before that and  if possible do not send too large files that gets time consuming to convert and publish.

We look forward to receiving a massive response for his birthday celebrations. Let us all together make this birthday a blockbuster hit!

Any other idea or suggestion is always welcome. Remember this is your own blog and so every idea, input or message will be respected!

Love and regards,

Admin ;)

vcd Boogie Woogie accepts VCD’s and DVD’s to view the audition videos of participants. Many times aspirants have their video clipping but wonder who to burn that video on a CD or DVD. So if you are looking to burning a video on a DVD, one of the easiest and most affordable forms of media, you can choose to burn is called a VCD (Video Compact Disc). While DVD’s is a great way to store large files, especially video and sound, VCD’s, while smaller in size can easily store video as well.

A VCD stands for Video Compact Disc and while it is the same media as a compact disc, the only difference is that it includes both video and audio files. Most CD’s only include audio files. VCD’s offer the same amount of storage space as CD’s, usually about 650 to 700 MB’s of space. Depending on the storage space, a VCD can store up to 74 minutes (650 MB) or 80 minutes (700 MB).

Advantages of VCD’s

VCD’s usually use the format of MPEG-1 to record video and audio to a compact disk. One of the advantages is that practically all computers are able to view VCD’s using their CD player and in addition, all DVD players are also compatible with VCD disks. DVD on the other hand are sometimes not always compatible with one another. For instance, there are DVD+R and DVD-R media. There is also DVD RAM. Certain DVD players only play one type of DVD media, making the other types incompatible. Another great advantage is that CD’s are usually always less expensive than DVD media. You can usually find CD’s for less than $.25 and many are around the $.10 mark.

Disadvantages of VCD

While VCD’s are on the whole more compatible than DVD and cost less, the trade off is that VCD picture and sound quality are usually inferior to that of DVD. The reason that video and sound quality are in most cases inferior is due to the amount of storage space. If you are looking to record a video file that is larger than 650 -700 MB’s, you must first compress it. Compressing it reduces the resolution of the video, usually from a DVD’s normal resolution of 720 X 480 to a VCD resolution of 352 X 240. It should be noted that in most cases audio files will play normally and will not experience any loss of quality, except in the cases of specialized sound formats such as surround sound. You should be able to enjoy full stereo sound at normal CD quality bit rates on a VCD.

Burning a VCD

It is extremely easy to create a VCD; you just need a CD burner/player, CD burning software and the ability to encode your video or multimedia file into a VCD compliant format which is MPEG-1. MPEG-1 is the format of choice for VCD’s. It is a great format to view video at extremely low bit rates. Since it is non-propriety it is very similar to MP3 files. It should be noted that normal DVD files are recorded using MPEG-2 and while this format offers excellent video and audio quality, the size of the files are extremely large and usually require much more powerful encoders, decoders and processing power.

Encode Your Video File

In order to burn your VCD, you first must have a video file that it is already encoded in MPEG-1 format. Let’s say you took your digital camcorder to your son’s baseball game and wanted to record the highlights onto a VCD, first transfer the video media to your hard drive. Once the video is accessible via your computer, you can now encode it into the MPEG-1 format.

Usually, you will need an encoding program. The good news is that there are many free and low cost products that make encoding a video file into MPEG-1 complete with high quality stereo sound. Usually, you will first open up this encoding software, follow the prompts and select which format, you would like (many encoding software can encode not only in MPEG-1, but also MPEG-2, DIVX, AVI, etc.). From this point, the encoding software will quickly and efficiently encode the original video file into a ready to burn MPEG-1 file.

Burn Your VCD

Now that you have your MPEG-1 file, you can easily use your normal CD burning software to burn your VCD. Just pop in a blank, recordable CD into your CD Recordable drive, open up your CD burning application and follow the prompts. From start to finish, changing a normal video file into a completed VCD usually take only a few minutes.

Viewing YOUR VCD

Your VCD is viewable in practically all computer drives, as well as the vast majority of DVD drives. Please note that from time to time some DVD players are finicky with VCD’s, just as they are with recordable DVD’s. Sometimes it might take a few tries to play on a specific DVD player, or you might want to try different brand of media.

copyright Usha brought a very good point regarding Music Companies and Copyrighted material. Thank You Usha! And so we will try to cover these two topics and will also try to find the music companies and labels that you may be able to use for your auditions.

First let us understand what copyright is: A Copyright is a law that protects the works of authors, artists, composers, companies and others from using their work without their permission. It gets them exclusive rights in relation to their work. Copyright has been internationally standardized lasting between fifty to a hundred years from the author’s death or a shorter period for anonymous or corporate authorship. A copyright is necessary as it allows them to have complete control of their product and when it is being used without permission then it grants them an ability to sue or for statutory damages.

Although copyright attaches upon fixation, one cannot sue someone unless they are registered with the copyright office. The registration needs to be in effect within 3 months from the date of the first publication wdor at least prior to the date of infringement. Plagiarism is pretty easy in present Internet world and so if a company is registered and holds the copyright, then it protects them in the court of law but then it is not that easy. Companies normally loose their battle if the plagiarism website is not operated for profit or if the material is sitting on third party hosts. The consequence would be that the copyright company while trying to protect its rights only ends up paying attorney fees for nothing. But either way, a copyright material must be respected. And so companies normally avoid using such material especially when plenty to zillion other better products are sitting in the market. If you ask me my opinion, any copyright material is not even worth the trouble. It doesn’t do any good except to the ego of the owner. It only bites dusts where as the others that are available in the market become lot more popular and enjoy all the limelight. But should it be respected and leave alone? Yes it should be!

money bag But when it comes to performing on a stage, it is completely another thing as it is not a website but a TV show. When a music is being played on a show, it becomes the shows responsibility to check the copyrighted material. And so Sony/ Boogie Woogie does not allow you to play any tracks that are produced by few companies due to their copyright laws.

noentry Coming to Yash Raj, Big Music, T- Series and any international labels, you CANNOT use their music because they are copyrighted and if used by a participant then it gives the above companies a right to sue Sony and that is why they do not want any of their participants to use music that is produced by the above companies.

music1 This brings us to the next question, if these companies are not allowed then what other companies are left that we are allowed to use? Friends, the above companies don’t even contribute 10 percent on the whole of what India outputs music. There are far more better companies and in many in number that you can use. You will also find many attractive tracks that you can dance on. Some of the companies for example are:

  1. Saregama India Ltd: Saregama India Ltd is India’s largest music recording company. It was formerly known as the Gramophone Company of India. It is registered in Kolkata, India and is also part of RPG Group. Saregama India Ltd produces almost more then 50% of all the music ever recorded in India. This is one huge company and you should be able to pick many of your favorite songs.
  2. Universal Music India Pvt Ltd.
  3. Venus Records & Tapes Pvt Ltd
  4. Aditya Music
  5. Sagarika
  6. Super Cassettes Industries
  7. Tips Industries Limited
  8. Super Audio (Madras Pvt Ltd)
  9. Times Music
  10. Srishti’s Carnatica Pvt Ltd
  11. Phat Phish
  12. Music Today

Hope this article helps you and if you have any other question, please feel free to write. We will try to find more and make your experience enjoyable.

oh that reminds me - the OFFICIAL WEBSITE OF SONY needs to update their copyright date - it is from last year. Are you LISTENING MSM?? ;)

Have fun friends – Adios!!

Saturday night judges were back with some of the best PJ’s and this time Javed joined Ravi and Naved in the PJ’s and talked about his parrot Champu. Ravi and Naved were their best too with the jokes. But wait… Naved, a phone call to Kareena Kapoor?? Come on!! You can do better! How about Sushmita Sen or Preety Zinta? I would love to see Sushmita Sen on Boogie Woogie one day. I love her! :D

Okay the first one to perform is our favorite poetess “Shivalika Dhait” who is only 9 years old and came from Gadchiroli. She danced a classical number to song “Mohe panghat pe”. Now Shivalika is an awesome dancer and this was the same number that she had performed during finals and won the championships last year. I love her as a poet, as a dancer and an adorable fantastic kid. The only problem I always find is her is expressions especially when it comes to adult songs like Mohe panghat par. It is absolutely not her fault as she is too young to understand the meaning and depth to give out the expression that is required so it is natural to see what she does her best and so her expressions went little over board but as a dancer, she is very talented and graceful and I absolutely adore her. I get thrilled every time I see her on Boogie Woogie stage. I am sure when she grows up and understands the meaning of this same song better, she would surely give out a performance that no dancer in India can give. God bless her! Okay now comes the after performance talk - as usual when Shivalika is on stage, my ears are sharper and I wait for her to narrate her poetry and so it was wonderful yet again to listen to her. I really really hope she never gives up her talent and will keep on working on it. Her family talked about the after effects of Naache Taare Zameen Par and what stardom she faced upon returning to her hometown. A celebration clipping was showed and it was wonderful to see Shivalika enjoying all the attention with a very sweet smile on her face. Her family spoke very high of Boogie Woogie and also acknowledged their gratitude.

Now was the turn of Kolkata’s little Mithun - Sanoy Dev who is thoroughly impressed with Sharukh Khan and most of the time dances to his numbers. And this Saturday night night he danced brilliantly to a song “nakhra nakhra”. He showed LOTS of improvement from last time and included some stunts too and carried with same amazing energies. The splits and standing on his head, were neatly attempted. A very well done job for a 9 year old. The after performance talk here was extremely funny because of judges. It was natural, sweet, funny and adorable.

Next participant to perform was Visishtha Duseja who is a beautiful 12 year old and hails from Mumbai. She danced on song “Kaanta laga”. She was dressed just like a banjaran and danced well. She also used the stage well. It was a very cute performance. Her after performance talk was funny especially the dialogues between her and Ravi.

Now comes the highlight of the Friday and Saturday night show - a performance by Viren Raj Baraik. This 9 year old from Ranchi made me his fan last time itself when he appeared on Naache Taare Zameen Par and I really was hooting for him to win and was actually confident that he would be the co winner. But what happened has happened and so when I saw Viren’s clipping that he would be performing on Saturday night, I just couldnt move from my seat even though there were million things going on in my life. I was crazily busy but took entire time out for Boogie Woogie - it is one show I wouldn’t miss for anything else in this world. And coming to Viren’s dance, all I can say is “he” is the best talent found of Boogie Woogie and he definitely (God Willingly) will do wonders in years to come. There are other performers and then there is Viren who sets his record to a new high every time that he is on stage. Watch him dance superbly and flawlessly on “Jai Ho” as he was fantabulously awesome in all his stunts. What Alicia, Jai Kumar Nair, Amit have made names for themselves, I see Viren just like them or even more tomorrow. This kid needs to be watched. He sure is a winner! The after performance talk was fabulous. Javed, Naved and Ravi praised Viren and his talent and the best thing to that is Viren’s response to the praises. He is making sure to keep his feet firmly on ground and that is the way to go. Viren I am extremely proud of you. Keep it up!!

The next to perform is the cute doll - Nupur Bhatt. This 9 year old from Mumbai dances as adorable as she herself is. Every time she is on stage, she reminds me of all the sweets and desserts. She danced to a mix of songs and did a pretty good job. It was great to see Nupur’s daadi and also the entire family. A family who brings a big smile on face and so we heard Nupur’s dad sing fabulously but what was more funny were the judges. Watch them and their expressions, they killed Mr. Bhats singing to the core with their hilarious expressions. LOL

The last performer of the Saturday night was the Naache Taare Zameen Par champion Vaishnavi Patil who is only 8 years old and came from Pune. For a 8 year old, she is loads and zillions of talent. She danced to the same number that she performed on finale of Naache Taare Zameen Par - a beautiful song one of my favorite “Breathless” by Shankar Mahadevan and I think Shankar outdid himself and set a record to a new high. I yet have to see a singer who can sing so breathlessly but coming to Vaishnavi’s performance, she did a wonderful job. Her expressions - watch they were beautiful. They don’t make you feel out of place nor give you the feeling that why this 8 year old is making such faces. She is perfect in her act and so I loved her performance. The after performance talk was interesting as she told what name and fame Vaishnavi is enjoying in her home town. And the awards and rewards and attention is well enjoyed by her entire family. She too narrated a beautiful sher for Boogie Woogie.

After the flash back the results were announced and you wont believe this when Javed said there were two winners, my heart was pounding so fast as I waited to hear the name that I wanted to hear. Call me bias but there was one name which stood out and I really wanted to hear wide and clear right from judges mouth and so was happy to hear - VIREN RAJ BARAIK!! and of course our perfect doll - Vaishnavi Patil.

JAI HO Boogie Woogie!!! and Thank You! You made me very happy!! (Now can we ask you to call Swasti back on stage please? ;)    )

Friday and Saturday night has been very interesting. First we got to see all our favorite kids and plus the show was highly entertaining.

Coming to judges, I thought both the nights all three judges were absolutely adorable and were their funniest best. All their interactions with the kids and with themselves were entertaining and brought lots of laugh. The flow was extra smooth just like butter and the way they joked, advised, judged was commendable. It had Javed, Naved, Ravi written all over the show! They were just like other episodes that were in complete control yet maintaining the fun and laughter.

Coming to the kids - Rituraj and Sanoy Dev started the show as Ravi and Naved. Viren Raj Baraik acted as Jaaved Jaaffery. All three kids were superbly hilarious depicting their mentors role very well. Their style, jokes and their dance was just like the TRIO. Watch it, you will laugh your head off. They again had exciting prizes for the kids this week too but I still think the prizes that went for Hip Hop Special had the best of prizes ;)

Okay so the first contestant to perform in Return of the Champs was Jui Bendkhale who is 10 year old from Mumbai and she danced on song “Mera babu chail chabila”. This was the 9th time that she was performing. She gave a cute and entertaining performance.  After performance talk was entertaining and so were the spoofs.

The second contestants performance I very much cherished and I am sure you will too. Cyrus Wong who is 9 year old and came from Mangalore. He danced on instrumental music and did a brilliant job. Cyrus was also dressed well and couple of his stunts were absolutely mind blowing. Watch it, you will love it. Amazing flexibility and the selected music added its own charm to the performance. Cyrus and his little sister got laughing Budha as a gift for the judges. The after performance talk was entertaining and cute.

The next one to perform was Salonee Gokhale from Mumbai. This 9 year olds clip from past was shown and it was funny to relish some old times. Salonee danced to a Marathi song and was dressed cutely in a Maharashtrian saree. Her performance was cute and entertaining and her after performance talk was same too. She is a very pretty girl.

The next one to perform was Sanjana Bamrada. Now who dont know her especially after she winning everyone’s heart with her sweet talk. She danced on a song that was mixed out of three songs, one was starting of “Jaa re o natkhat” and “Mohe panghat par” and “Madhuban mein”. As Javed said each kid showed improvement in their performances from last time and so we could see that improvement to the best in Sanjana. Her performance was more graceful and also was well done. Her after performance talk was interesting as she talked about her journey after the Boogie Woogie. She experienced lots of attention and her school acknowledged her talent and awarded her prize. Watch her do a cat walk - she is such an adorable wonder. The best commendable action of hers was when she talked about what she will do if she gets the power for the nation. God bless her!

At this point - watch SHIVALIKA DHAIT narrate her humor :D

The next little wonder to perform was Rituraj Mahalim. This 9 year old is very popular and last time when he came as a partner, we experienced plenty to dozen people doing his search and got diverted to our site to read about him. He danced on song from movie Don. Nothing less then awesome is expected from Rituraj and so he delivered an awesome performance. He definitely was more stylish then Sharukh Khan ;) His after performance talk was very adorable especially his answers to the judges. He got very cute accent. He also danced with his teachers on the stage.

The last little wonder to perform was Shazia Samji. This 12 year old is THE best when it comes to humor dances. She is from Mumbai and gave some mind blowing performances in the past. She danced to her favorite song “Pappu can’t dance saala”. She gave a fabulous performance. Her expressions were extremely funny. She wrote about her favorite food which is the fast food and her after performance talk was very cute.

With this the Friday night episode ended. It was well entertaining night! :D

CatLaugh Sometimes I go off topic and talk about something else and today I am in a similar mood. I know with auditions right around the corner and its weekend already – half of the world has already watched Boogie Woogie and the other half of the world is waiting to watch in few hours and here I am trying to talk about something else. So OFF I am! But you know what? A lesson was learnt today and I thought I must share it with you.

Today while I was driving to the bus terminal I got into an accident. Actually at a junction there were few cars ahead of me and they were too slow or scared to pull on the road and I was getting late as usual but waiting for them to move so I can move too. As they started to move, I saw the road was clear and I thought the vehicle ahead of me is going to move. He started to move but for some reason stopped. When he moved, I moved thinking he is driving and ended up hitting his car from behind. DonkeyDamn!! I thought! I had only 10 minutes to reach the bus terminal so that I can catch the bus to New York and if I miss that bus, the next bus would be only after half hour which will be too late to reach work. As I heard the thud, I thought, here goes everything in drain, now the cops will have to come and by the time they make the report, I am going to be so very late. Anyway, I knew it was my fault and I had to face the consequences. I walked out of my car and the first thing I told the guy was sorry. As soon as he heard me say sorry, he got mad at me saying what I was thinking. He started to inspect his vehicle and there were pretty bad scratches on his rear bumper. It looked like a newer vehicle and I really felt bad to see a big ugly patch on his bumper. Then I started apologizing to him saying “I am stupid I am sorry I didn’t mean to hit your car” and joined him in inspecting his vehicle. Told him his bumper looks bad. And then he said “Wait a minute”. Then he opened his trunk to see if it works, opened his rear door to see if that was functional, then came back to his bumper and looked again. It had popped out from its clipping, he pushed it inside and it went right in. Then he looked at me and said, “Its okay, not a big deal – lets finish it off here”. And I am zapped looking at him and trying to understand what he just said. He repeated – its okay just be careful while driving next time, the “bumper” is not a big deal, lets forget”. And then I felt even more bad but apologized again and thanked him. Returned to my car and started driving. He too left.

puzzled man At this point I did thank God and then as soon as I was driving, the first thing that came to my mind was “why didn’t he call cops and report the accident? Maybe he doesn’t have a valid driving license or maybe his license must have been suspended after a DUI”

You must be thinking what a jerk I am right? Yes I too felt right after about 5 minutes. I thought what the heck is wrong with me. Here first of all I hit the man’s car and then he turns out to be a gentleman and forgets all about it and still I doubt his niceness?? Something is surely wrong with me. I need to go to hell. But then I felt really guilty and couldn’t meet my own eye for my behavior. I was so ashamed of myself! Soon after the guilt, I started praying for all the good things for the man. Really - May God bless him!!

shocked But you know what this is how most of the human mind works. We live in so much pollution that when we come across some niceness, we refuse to believe in them. We instantly doubt them without even thinking twice. We think nobody would be nice in this world if there isn’t something behind. We feel he or she is being nice only because there is some other motive. We refuse to believe that they are really nice and genuine people unless we know them well enough. We can’t help it, our mind is set in that fashion that we just don’t believe in others.

The truth is - there is niceness in this world. There are lots of gentlemen, ladies, angels in form of humans and also simple people for whom materialistic things don’t matter. They believe in peace and harmony. They believe in being human and in forgiveness. These are the people who keep this world rejuvenated with love. God bless them and God bless the guy whom I hit this morning! Amen!

Oh by the way, I was able to make to the terminal on time and was in office early. But some guys are such bad drivers!! ;)

mom Okay since the auditions are around the corner and many mummy’s have many questions so I thought its better to read the entire rules and regulations and note down some of the finer points. Hoping to clear all your doubts and help you prepare your audition better.

We will try to cover all major points but if this article gets too long then don’t blame me but blame MSM for lengthy rules ;) I would love that!!

Okay jokes apart let’s get to business and dissect their rules and regulations so that we can understand it better!

  • A very important point – rules says: “ENTRY TO AUDITIONS IS ON FIRST COME FIRST SERVED BASIS.” So that means you have to make sure you reach the venue of auditions ON TIME!! Time is an important factor friends, so make sure you utilize it to the best. Definition of First Come First Served is "a policy whereby the requests of mummy’s for auditions are attended to in the order they arrive without other biases or preferences." If you reached the venue at 9 am, you will be called in at that hour if they do not have others lined up, they will not call the person who arrives at 9:30 for audition simply because you arrived there first. Hope it’s clear.
  • Boogie Woogie, MSM, R&N Productions will not bear your travel costs or other costs that you incur in reaching the audition venues. You have to bear your own costs like travel fare inclusive of bus fares, petrol costs, auto, train or any other charges or surcharges. You will also bear your own costs for example if you are hungry or thirsty; you will buy your own food or drinks. :D
  • If you see anyone charging you fees or any money, you must report to Sony and the address is on Contact Show page above.
  • Participants who are not Indian citizens are eligible to participate in auditions provided you hold a valid Indian Visa, passport and other documentation.
  • You will not be provided with any additional space like dressing room or make up room for change of costumes or for make up so please omit taking your costumes with you. If you feel your costume will add strength to your performance, then wear it from home. But remember, costumes and make up is not required for auditions.
  • MSM has listed a SMS number 52525 to text them for more information – If I were you, I will just omit that. Last year many people text but nobody got replied back so please SAVE your money - don’t put it on MSM’s pocket! ;)
  • Another point you need to remember is that by appearing for audition, you are completely giving your rights to MSM. They will use your audition video, photograph or information to portray you as a participant or even exhibit in media without any compensation to you or without your consent. Once you audition, your audition tape or information will be theirs and can be used for their business purpose. If your appearance damages your reputation tomorrow, (God forbid) then you will not hold MSM responsible and waive your rights from any claims. Your application and audition serves as your acceptance to the terms to their policy and the rules and regulations they have set so no disputes will be entertained afterwards.

You need to carry more then one CD of the same song/songs with you so that in case one doesn’t work, you have a backup and also if your CD is taken along with your dance audition then you do have a copy to know what CD you handed over to them. You need to hand over your CD to R & N Production team member when you reach the audition venue along with your application form.
    • The length of the song must not exceed 2 minutes. Please crop, cut your song to its best part. Remember what Firdaus said earlier - they normally make a decision within 45 seconds of the performance so don’t start too slow and take time there, your best steps or moves might just be lost. Make sure to have your best steps in the first 45 seconds so that your first impression can be your best impression. They have written clearly that any un-edited or badly edited songs shall be disqualified. So please be careful with your audio. If you need any help in cropping or burning a CD, do email us and we can help you out but do not take any chances.
    • Your CD must be labeled neatly with your name, song name, movie name, music company name.
    • All auditions will be video taped for judges to preview at later stage. NO RESULTS ARE GIVEN ON THE SPOT! You only need to perform and come back. When your audition is viewed later and if it matches their requirement, R & N Production team will contact you with either phone, email, fax or whatever your preferred contact is. They only intend to inform those who are selected. But this should not discourage you from appearing for auditions. Your duty is to try and leave the rest to God so please prepare well.

south india map When I read Sam’s comment suggesting for South Indian MP3’s, I thought that was wonderful idea and was wondering how come I did not had them yet. So Thank You Sam very much for suggesting!

This week we bring you some South Indian delicacies to relish and groove. Few of the numbers that you find are from the week when Suresh Menon was the guest on Boogie Woogie and few of the others are from my personal collection. One song from Sagara Sangamam “Thakida Thajimi Tandaana” is my THE personal favorite and I really would love to see one of our male dancer dance a peppy classical performance on this number. It really brings goose bumps when I hear and my heart goes all for it. Kamal Hasan was simply awesome in this movie. If you haven’t watched this movie yet, it definitely is highly recommended. I also have included couple of songs from another favorite movie of mine called “Geetanjali” and I think these two songs with little more remixing, you can give fabulous performance. One song “Nandi Konda” can be used for the horror special and “Jagada Jagada” can be used with any performance. Go creative and add some special effects when you remix these songs or just simply listen to them and relish and relax.

If you have any requests – apart from requesting songs of Rohan and Group and Fictitious Group, please feel free to write. Friends, both Rohan and group and Fictitious group has been working real hard – let’s just respect them and leave their MP3’s for their own personal use ;)

Anyway, please enjoy the numbers below. To download, click on the song name.

  1. Aa Ante Amalapuram
  2. Appadi Podu
  3. Kulalootham Kannanukku
  4. Amalapuram Bullodu
  5. Nandi Konda
  6. Jagada Jagada
