Before I begin the review, let me say something. They say a respect is the highest earned prize that anyone can dream to have. Having zillions of dollars would mean nothing if one hasn’t earned respect. And respect just doesn’t come like that, one have to work towards it with their deeds. And so we saw the same with Boogie Woogie. Boogie Woogie has earned the respect of their fans which stays rock solid. Running the show for 12 plus years is not a joke. They have made many loyal fans and families watch the show without having to think "will it be appropriate or not to let their kids watch the show". Anyway the point in me bringing this topic today is because some of the fans or maybe many were upset with the Saturday night’s episode but due to the respect that they have for the Boogie Woogie show and the guys, they spoke softly getting their message across and clear. Gaaliya mili toh bhi bade pyar se
Well after watching the last night’s episode, I had to go to some personal gathering and I only returned late so had to postpone the review for today morning. But when I woke up today Morning, I was surprised to see few emails and comments praising the show and the guys but also showing their displeasure. Why? let’s see in a little bit.
Tonight the guest of honor for Saturday night’s episode was none other then the item diva and fabulous dancer - Rakhi Sawant! Let me tell you guys upfront, I do admire this girl. I think she is highly talented and struggled hard to make a place in Bollywood for herself without any Godfather. She has been projected many times in a wrong way and I feel she isn’t a bad person after all. Her blunt speaking gets her into trouble many times but then one can also see her point underneath. There are many in Bollywood who projects themselves as perfect role models or home bodies or next door girls but the acts of them in real are nothing but shocking. Rakhi for sure is different from them and a lot of times is misunderstood too. I do respect those who work hard and are self made. But the one thing that bothered me and many on Saturday night was Rakhi Sawant’s outfit that she wore on Boogie Woogie. Apart from the outfit rest was all perfect. I was surprised to see Boogie Woogie didn’t object to such dress code. Are they slacking or what? A kids show is a kids show and one must respect it and so I do respect all those who emailed bomb blasting her outfit showing their displeasure. I do agree that she should have put on more clothes! But then they say there is always a first time to everything. Hopefully this will be the last time we saw anyone sport an outfit that is a big NO NO with the loyal audience. Plus let’s give Rakhi a benefit of doubt and not carry this negativity forward. If you ignore her dress, you will surely fall in love with this girl as she was cute and adorable with all the kids. So Rakhi, I do love you but please take care of the outfits. We do want to see you back on the show soon and hope next time you come you will surprise your displeasured audience with your Indian look. I know you can do it and will look fabulous too. I would love to see you in a saree so come back girl
Alright, let’s begin with the Saturday night’s review. Saturday episode started with Ravi and Naved on stage beginning the show and explaining about the point system. After few exchange of dialogues between the Boo teachers and Ravi and Naved, the song gets to play - "Tuk tuk dekhe" and I am going to be honest with you, as soon as the song was played, I started to wish for Rakhi Sawant. Many times I felt she should have come as a judge on Boogie Woogie as she herself is a fabulous dancer and so that wish was fulfilled on Saturday night. She along with the Boo teachers and Naved and Ravi dances on the song and it was a treat for the eyes just minus the outfit. I actually thought she wore that outfit maybe only for the dance and later will join with changed clothes but anyway just ignore her clothes then it becomes a must watch! The talk on the stage was funny. I surely did enjoy
The first participant to perform was Boogie Woogie’s little star Swasti Nitya who danced with her teacher Prajakta and they danced to one of my favorite song from old times - "nazre milaane ko jee chahta hai, dil o jaan lutaane ko jee chahta hai". Yeah that’s what I want to say too!
When Swasti comes on the stage, I can’t help but use the phrase "cute as button". This time she was not only cute as button but also danced superbly. Watch her expressions, her latkas and jhatkas. This five year old was way too good. God bless her!! Her teacher Prajakta was flawless, graceful and did a wonderful job teaching the same to Swasti. Must watch performance. The after performance talk was again adorable and makes you feel happy. Swasti gets ladoos for the judges.
The next to perform is boogie Woogie’s power packed found talent - Dhiren Raj Baraik who has set a record in giving fabulous to mind blowing stage ripping performances and Saturday night he joins with his teacher Hycinth Fernandez to prove this point even more in better style. Watch Rakhi’s expressions, she was happily shocked watching their flawless performance. The expressions of both the dancers and the steps and sync was great. They danced on song "Naam hai mera Foncesca" from movie Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikander. Hycinth is a professional dancer and so it must get difficult for a kid to perform at her level but he does it so brilliantly and they both looked professional. Hycinth did a wonderful job teaching him. Rakhi was too sweet with her comments and asked Viren to dance with her when he grows up as she felt she could learn a lot from him. On this little Viren told her respectfully that he has lots to learn from her. You know another good point that I am going to bring of Rakhi’s is that when other guests came on Boogie Woogie for example Kashmira, she showed her displeasure towards Rakhi but when Rakhi came on show she did not talk about any displeasures about anyone but only enjoyed kids performances. The happiness on her face talked a lot that she really loves kids and does know how to behave with them. Ravi was extremely funny when he was trying to make Hycinth talk in Hindi. Hycinth’s talk was as adorable as her dance.
The next performer was Nupur Bhatt who came in with her cute teacher "Payal". Both danced adorably with two teddy bears on song "ye ishq haye baithe bithaaye" and did an awesome job. both were dressed in similar outfits and were in synch. It was a well enjoyed performance. The after performance was entertaining and is must watch! Actually I dont think Payal is overweight. She looks adorable and perfect. "Payal, stay the way you are - thin is not beautiful and you are too cute!"
It was hilarious with the Boo teachers on the stage rolling with laughter making fun of Payal’s language - guys I tell you ….very bad!
While the guys carry on their fun and talk about the things, Rakhi sits silently. Watch Boogie Woogie’s master of masters choreographers Sumeet and Vinod joining the stage and showing their style. Mr. Bhatt, Nupur’s father speaks good about Rakhi Sawant and also dedicates few lines of singing for her. Her grandfather also shows pleasure in seeing her on the show. Well I am going to say again, Mr. Bhatt has awesome voice and I love listening to him. The funniest part was when Rakhi asked Mrs. Bhatt if her husband sang a song for her and little Nupur jumps in to say about the family round when Mr. Bhatt sang "jabse huyi hai shaadi". She was too cute and funny.
Next was Sanjana Bamrada who came with Deepika Shetty, her teacher. Both danced on song "Singh is King" a remix version. It was a very well put, energized number and the steps were awesome. The teacher’s energies were more visible then the student and so she took the highlight. But little Sanjana was great in her own style. Okay here was the cutest and funniest thing - Rakhi remembered when Sanjana spoke bad about her in one of the previous episodes. The highlight was they showed the clipping to Rakhi. And just when Rakhi was about to talk to Sanjana, Sanjana starts to tell her how her opinion has changed now and she is her favorite. It was the cutest thing. Rakhi was too sweet to ignore and not to create any drama and had a smile on her face. Rakhi praised both Sanjana and Deepika’s dance and then she joins them to dance along with both the dancers on song "my desi girl". It was too adorable to watch Sanjana kiss Rakhi and vice versa. I just wished she hadn’t worn that outfit.
Okay the last performer for tonight was from the much talented Vaishnavi Patil who came with her Boo teacher Niket. Now Niket I am sure everyone remembers. He is too fabulous of a dancer and with the combination of Vaishnavi and Niket, I knew we were heading for the best closing of the show. I loved the stage and the colors here especially when Vaishnavi comes out from the rotating Boogie Woogie and also Niket comes down with the rope. Their somersaults, and the steps they took was FLAWLESS and PERFECT. It did not look from any corner that a participant was dancing with her teacher, they looked like two professionals. Vaishnavi’s classical steps in between the song was too great. Niket’s lifting of Vaishnavi and Vaishnavi keeping her hands and legs straight in perfect style was mind blowing. There was not a single step that you wouldnt enjoy. This clipping should be shown on Sony in between the serials like the way they show Bollywood songs. It was a masterpiece! Bravo Niket - very well done!! All three judges spoke very well about the performance. They spoke words from my heart.
Okay now was the time for them to announce the eliminations results. A lot of times we start to guess who may be eliminated or who should be but has it ever happened to you that you started to wish no one should be eliminated? Last night, I realized that I was saying out loud, "please don’t eliminate anyone" when I noticed Naved and Ravi telling to Rakhi who should be eliminated. Watch Swasti’s face, she was almost in tears. And I can’t tell you how happy I was with the decision that no one got eliminated even during this week. But Ravi cleared that next week there will be eliminations as in just couple of weeks there will be finals. So okayyy that’s fine but thanks for keeping them all together at least for another week - it was the cutest thing you guys did
And so the show got over on a happy note. This episode would be the best episode if only Rakhi came in with slightly more clothes but neverthless she was great with her attitude. All the best Rakhi!
