Who are the judges for the boogie woogie competition?
April 7th, 2009 at 10:33 am
Does anyone Who are the judges for this show?
April 8th, 2009 at 9:04 am
I have same question, Who are Judges?
April 8th, 2009 at 4:12 pm
friends, i dont know either … the thing is that everytime i try to find out they act so secretive i dont know why so i gave up on finding out who the judges are going to be for the show. to me it just doesnt make any sense that they are conducting boogie woogie in america and canada but cannot confirm on judges.. that is absolutely crazy… and also i do think having a show without the original judges would be just insane.. they shouldnt have conducted these competitions at all.. why sony is acting as if they are doing some favor on people in north america????? when i called to find out who the judges are, they went hush hush and said they dont know and for now all they can say is pooja batra and runa for america and pooja batra and raghav for canada are the ones that confirmed. now i seriously hope they are not going to judge the talent!!! neither pooja batra nor runa rizvi are dancers nor is raghav so i hope that sony gets their act together real fast and not let the above judge a dancing show.. i think its turning out to be more like a local show.
one thing should have been cleared from the beginning and that is either they should have waited till the time ravi and naved confirmed on dates and conduct the show or not have conducted at all. kids have really worked hard in both the countries and they do deserve to show their talent in front of the boogie woogie judges. anyway what i write or what u say will not be cared at all… big channels totally unorganised acts!!
April 8th, 2009 at 4:25 pm
i got same ans too. why cant they confirm on judges when finals r right around the corner? n i can b better judge then pooja, runa and raghav, admin ask them to invite me as judge
April 8th, 2009 at 4:33 pm
i have no idea why they cant confirm on judges when the finals is just 3 days away!! maybe they are scared that someone will kidnap the judges.. lol… they at least dont have to scared by me… all i can do is write… i told them i wont be in chicago or toronto so asked them to relax their thoughts from kidnapping… lol… they are silly!!! but one thing is for sure.. let them have this show without the judges, i sure bringing a blasting article

nd yes geeta i sure thing you would be better judge then the confirmed judges… u go girl!!

The U.S. finals in Chicago was AWESOME:)
The judges were Ms. Amrapali Ambegaonkar, Ms. Renuka Srinivasan who are both accomplished dancers & Bobby Moon who was a celebrity judge.
The celebrity host was Pooja Batra. The winner & runner-up in the junior category were Sagar Patel from Los Angeles & Akshaya Savale of San Francisco. In the senior category it was Becky Manappuram, New Jersey & Krithika Rajkumar of Michigan.

The show was great!!! Hospiotality was wonderful judges(2 out of 3) were completely settled with the “PURE CLASSICAL” for Senior Category. It was a bit disappointing to see that the Boogie- woogie tradition was lost in judging for senior category. Hope SONY will realize that this dance competion originated from bollywood Hindi Film Dancing spiced with hip-hop and light entertainment. They should keep in mind the standard is now set by Indian TV shows like Dance India Dance or DPL etc. Interestingly other countries like Canada, UK, South Africa and Middle East had competitor’s and judges both non-classical based whereas North America is the only one brought classical talent .
I hope our classical competitor’s did win a place at International level. For Boogie-Woogie the judges should have knowledge and experience about what’s the current trend of bollywood dancing and how it is performed at international level. I respect and believe in conserving our culture and tradition by practicing classical dancing but it should not be mixed up with the modern entertainment industry.
I am looking forward to B & W Chalo America 2009 or 2010 .
