Many have started to enquire about the Boogie Woogie auditions for 2009. Recently we have been receiving many email enquiries to find the schedule in different places in India for this year.
It is great to see the enthusiasm and to know the eagerness participants are going through but at the same time as we are only in beginning of the New Year, it might take little more time to get the audition schedule. We are on lookout as well and as soon as we hear anything about it, we will be more then happy to publish it for you. But there is always something you can do while you wait so that you are well prepared in case the schedule comes in at short notice. Please see below:
• Practice and improvise your dance
• Select your songs – at least 2-3 songs in which you should be fluent to give a flawless performance.
• Make sure none of the songs that you dance have vulgar meaning or feel to it.
• Make sure your dance moves don’t come out outrageous or vulgar
• Do not select any song that belongs to: “T-Series, Yash Raj, Big Music and any international music labels.”
• Your audition needs to be no more then 2 minutes so trim your song well to its best part and prepare well.
• Prepare yourself a good introduction – think of how you would introduce yourself best at least amount of time.
• Print your application form and fill all the sections well.
• Think of your hobbies that you really enjoy and fill in the columns and be prepared to talk in case you are asked.
• Prepare an audio CD for the songs that you will perform – remember no MP3’s are allowed.
• Label your CD neatly with your name, name of the songs, movie name and the music company name.
• Prepare a cover letter showing your interest in audition for Boogie Woogie and keep it along with your application form.
• Prepare your song by understanding the meaning of the words well.
• Do find out the actors, directors and any information that you can to project yourself as a well prepared participant.
• Have PATIENCE and continue to practice and pray.
• Keep yourself always on positive note.

i leave in distt. yamunanagar(hariyana).i m a choreographer.
i have three regd.dance acdemies in town by the name of “Kd-Zone”.
i have more than 200 stundents in by academies.i have many groups of boys,girls n kids.
i have honoured by finnace minister of hariyana mr. Birender singh on feb 2008,by minister mr. Sher singh barshami.
On the national level stage(barnala punjab)i have won the best dancer medal and best choreographer award on 14th feb 2009.
I have performed in the function of chief minister of hariyana mr. bhupender singh huda, on the b’day function of mr. Birender singh on the “chak de india” choreography with my girls group.
beside this i have many achievement in my life. but i think my dance life is uncomplete without boogie-woogie stage.

I’m 32 and have 2 daughters. I’m planning to go for the mummy’s special auditions. Am I eligible for the mummy’s special.
Also, it says No MP3 songsa are allowed. Which all formats are allowed so that I can get the CD prepared accordingly.

I think you should go and try for auditions as the advertisements are not saying anything about age neither the official website lists any age restrictions so there is a possibility they will take ur audition. there is no harm in trying. if they dont allow then u can send ur dance vcd to them. but pls go and try.
as per the song cd.. you need to make it in CD format. CD audio is a format within itself and it can be played on any player. It takes lot more space for example a 4 minute song can take upto 4 MB while as the same can be done in MP3 format using less then 120 Kbps. but mp3’s cannot be played in every player so thats why you are suppose to take a CD format audio with you. hope i have cleared ur doubt and not confused u more. if i have pls let me know. and all the very best dear

well as per media, Boogie Woogie is taking a 3 month break and should be back once DPL is over.. so lets wait and watch. But as far as auditions are concerned, you should be able to send it via mail to the Mumbai office and wait for your turn.

One - go for face to face audition but we dont know when they are going to conduct so that brings you to your second option of making a VCD or a DVD of your best performance that should be no more then 2 minutes with your best moves starting from first second and mail it to R & N TV Productions address in Mumbai. you will find their address under the auditions category or page above. Hashmeet, Satyam, Ridhi… boogie woogie/ sony has advertised its auditions for kids championships for the ages 7 - 10 and they are in five cities so far. Bhubaneshwar, ranchi, ahmedabad, kolkata and lucknow. u need to go to the nearest city for auditions. pls see home page for more details.
