naache taare zameen par Today’s episode started with some really funny jokes by Ravi and Naved and then Javed came in with extra hilarious joke. I am not going to write about it as its fun to watch. Must see!

21 saroj khan Saroj ji has trained all the contestants with the given themes looking at their caliber and today’s episode will be a theme based and the contestants will be dancing along with group dancers but the marks will be given only to the contestant and not to the dancers.

38 madhav wazalwar 30 madhav wazalwar The first participant to set the stage ablaze was little Madhav Wazalwar - the stylish and adorable kid. He got theme “Moogli” and was dressed with shorts and leaves and looked like a typical moogli.  Now coming to his performance - I have to tell you this. His performance makes you feel nostalgic. Took me to the good old Doordarshan days when I use to watch Moogli with my family. And little Madhav’s performance is something you will cherish for a long time. It is the cutest thing I have seen on Television. The best performance ever so far. Touches your heart. By the way, I am writing this before listing to the judges comments. Now let’s see what judges had to say but with the smile on their faces, it sure looked like they loved the performance. By the way, I must compliment the group dancers - they did a fabulous job and added so much charm to the entire performance. Good job Boogie Woogie!! They had a very cute tree like chair where Madhav sat and it complimented the show very well. There are so many tiny things if you observe closely that will just fill your heart. Must must watch!! When Naved asked Madhav what’s the difference between Salman’s body and his body so Madhav said the difference is “little”. Watch him making faces and sounds when he says he feels bad when anyone makes fun of him. Okay I am just going to stop here so that you can watch. I surely am going to add this video clip to my all time favorites. Awesome job Madhav! God bless you!

52 phalguni bhardwaj 43 phalguni bhardwaj The next participant to come was another little wonder “Phalguni Bhardwaj”. Her theme was “formation” and Saroj ji complimented her saying she is a very talented dancer and she has chosen this special theme for her. She danced on song “Taare Zameen Par”. Phalguni’s performance was graceful. It was serene. Again a heart touching number and as they say if the start is good then everything else follows but Phalguni’s dance takes you from one mood to totally another heart warming phase. She is beautiful and also you can see that beauty in her dance. If I simply have to put her performance in one word, then it was flawless. I particularly loved one step when she performed like a drop in water. Her after performance talk was again adorable. She again came with a joke on Naved who as usual took her joke so sportingly. She also narrated a funny sher which I thought her style was great and funny. Watch her!

Javed has his own style in comedy. Actually the confusion that I face most of the time is I don’t know when they are talking seriously and when they are joking. Today he talked about how to recognize the true currency - Watch it!

57 jaaved jaafferi 58 ravi behl 54 naved jaafferi

71 sayalee tupe 70 sayalee tupe The next to come was the little princess with great smile - Sayalee Tupe. Saroj ji had given her “Folk dance” as her theme and praised her ability to perform folk dance superbly. This 6 year old danced to a Marathi folk number. She was dressed in beautiful red Marathi style saree and danced totally adorably. Judge’s smile showed that they thoroughly enjoyed the performance. Watch Sayalee’s steps and her expressions, they were too good. The highlight was after performance talk was hilarious.. I wont talk much just watch it!!

82 rashmi kunder 76 rashmi kunder Okay now was the turn for the new sensation of Boogie Woogie Hip Hop princess - Rashmi Kunder. For the record, Rashmi has so far given all flawless performances and today’s dance only added more feathers to her cap. She danced absolutely fantastic and her energies were simply great. She danced on song “Shut up and dance” from movie Dostana and I have to tell you for the first time I enjoyed this song only because Rashmi danced to it. It was such a relief to see Rashmi instead of half naked Shilpa Shetty and almost naked John Abraham. Okay coming back to better deserved Rashmi, I have to say I am impressed with her talking skills. She spoke 75 percent in Hindi and that I think is a big improvement. Go Rashmi Go!! We are very proud of you!

Phalguni Bhardwaj did a spoof along with Ravi and Naved and although it was little predictable but it was totally fun to watch. :D

86 89 naved jafri 88 ravi behl

104 swasti nitya 103 swasti nitya Next participant to perform is the yet another superstar of Boogie Woogie - little Swasti Adorable Nitya. Yes that’s her new middle name. She got “fairy tale” as her theme from Saroj Ji. She adorable said at the begining of her performance that fairy tale means “gori pari”. How could you not fall in love after listening to such talk? Her dance was superb with many remixes and today’s dance of Swasti was the best of her especially when she dances to jhoom jhoom jhoomroo. She was dressed in beautiful red dress and acted and danced superbly. Her after performance talk again was as usual entertaining. Must watch!

118 biren raj baraik 117 biren raj baraik The last participant for tonight was definitely not the least but one who comes in the best dancers of Boogie Woogie. Biren Raj Baraik. This 9 year old got “Instrumental music” as his theme by Saroj ji. Saroj ji has praised his creativity and style of dance. And he danced to my one of my most favorite music that I personally have been waiting for long to see someone dance on Boogie Woogie - yes the music from movie “Yuvraaj”. His danced was absolutely wonderful. This was one performance where there was no chance of one predicting of what is going to happen next. Biren took his audience by surprise got everyone engrossed in him. I myself couldn’t help but was lost in his performance. Absolutely stunning and superb performance and I can say I felt it was the best for the evening.

126 naved jafri 129 naved jafri Every week I write about Boogie Woogie is not just an entertaining show but it is very much informative and teaches the best lessons on air. Today Naved talked about something that makes one feel the sensation of being pricked in mind. He talked about the massive amount of currency that is lying in Swiss banks and if that currency reaches India then India can very well live a life without having to pay any taxes for the next 30 years peacefully and kids can have free education. It was pretty clear that the money belonged to corrupt politicians. A point very well brought. And that is why I strongly feel that India must wipe out the corrupt politicians and bring a new breed who will work for the betterment of the country in real sense, some people who really would feel for India from their souls. It is time the educated generation enter into politics. It is time the skilled and educated citizens of India return back to their home lands to join hands for the betterment of the country. Also elections are right around the corner, don’t shy away from voting. Choose the right candidate!

Have a goodnight folks! See you tomorrow - Jai Hind!!

bhangra costume 1 Yesterday we talked about the history and other details linked with Bhangra, today we will cover the costumes that are worn by Bhangra dancers.

Reference Courtesy: wikepedia

Traditional men wear a chaadra while doing Bhangra. A chaadra is a piece of cloth wrapped around the waist. Men also wear a kurta, which is a long Indian-style shirt. In addition, men wear Pugdee - also known as turbans - to cover their heads.

bhangra 2 In modern times, men also wear turla - the fan attached to the pugdee. Colorful vest are worn above the kurta. Fumans - small balls attached to ropes - are worn on each arm.

Women wear a traditional Punjabi dress known as a ghagra. A ghagra is a long colorful skirt which fans out into a giant disk as a woman twirls. Women also wear duppattas, colorful pieces of cloth wrapped around their neck. Many Bhangra songs make references to the duppatta. Also, women wear suits called salwars kamiz; long baggy pants tight at the ankle (salwars) and a long colorful shirt (kamiz).

These items are all very colorful and vibrant, representing the rich rural colors of Punjab. Besides the above, the Bhangra dress has different parts that are listed below in detail:

  • Turla or Torla which is a fan like adornment on the turban
  • Pag (turban, a sign of pride/honor in Punjab). This is tied differently than the traditional turban one sees Sikhs wearing in the street. This turban has to be tied before each show
  • Kaintha (necklace), some men even wear earrings like the large hoops worn by the women dancers
  • Kurta - Similar to a silk shirt, with about 4 buttons, very loose with embroidered patterns.
  • Lungi or Chadar, A loose loincloth tied around the dancer’s waist, which is usually very decorated.
  • Jugi: A waistcoat, with no buttons.
  • Rammal: Small ’scarves’ worn on the fingers. They look very elegant and are effective when the hands move during the course of bhangra performance.

Have a good day folks!

knowledge paradigm After a long time we come back to our gaining knowledge segment. In past we have covered some classical dances such as Kathak, Bharatnatyam and Odissi and in western we covered Hip Hop, Tap Dance and Rock n Roll. I must say our Hip Hop and Bharatnatyam segments have been very popular with many sites linking to ours for gaining knowledge. Recently we also found out that it also helped the students with their school projects and so we gladly continue with this knowledge segment to spread it as far as possible.

bhangra-a Today we will talk about folk dance – Bhangra.

Bhangra as we all know is a Punjabi folk dance that originated from the state of Punjab. It is an energetic dance that initially was conducted by the farmers to celebrate Vaisakhi. Vaisakhi marks the birth of Khalsa and is also the beginning of the harvest season.

Vaisakhi is one of the most significant holidays in Sikh calendar commemorating the establishment of the Khalsa in 1699. It is celebrated by the Khalsa as their birthday every year corresponding to the event when they were created by Guru Gobind BirthofKhalsa-1600Singh in 1699 at Anandpur. It is said that Guru Ji had arranged all his followers from all over India to meet him at the baisakhi fair in Anadpur. He asked a man to step forward who was willing to die for his religion. One man came forward, he entered the Guru’s tent, then the Guru came out of the tent – his sword stained with blood. One by one the guru chose four more men to come forward, and one after another they entered and the Guru emerged alone with his blood stained sword. The crowd was nervous, and mysteriously there was no screaming at all. The five men came before the people, dressed in robes like the Guru, alive and well. The Guru Ji put water water in a bowl for sprinkling over the five in a simple initiation ceremony. He said prayers as he stirred the water with a short steel sword; symbolizing the need for strength. The Guru’s wife, Mata Sundri, then came forward and placed some sugar crystals into the holy water or amrit as a reminder that strength must always be balanced by sweetness of temperament. After completing his prayers, the Guru then sprinkled the amrit over the five men.

khalsa He declared them to be the first members of a new community of equals, to be called the Khalsa, meaning “pure”. These saint soldiers were to dedicate their lives to the service of others and the pursuit of justice for the people of all faiths. The Panj Pyare were asked to wear five distinctive symbols of their new identity, the Five Ks. In a move to end social divisions the Panj Pyare’s surnames were removed by the Guru mainly because surnames were associated by ones caste’s. The Guru then gave them all Sikh men the name “Singh” meaning “Lion”, a reminder of the need for courage. At the same time all Sikh women were given a name title as “Kaur” meaning princess.

The same season was also the arrival of the harvesting season. The festival always falls on April 14 and marks the beginning of the solar year. Just before the festival the farmer returns home with his bumper crop, the fruit of his whole year’s hard labor.

bhangra_w1 This festival is in celebration to thank God for good harvest for the year and coming year. On this day, people take a dip in holy rivers early morning and later wear their best attire and celebrate by dancing Bhangra to express their joy. The dancers and drummers challenge each other to continue the dance. The scenes of sowing, harvesting, winnowing and gathering of crops are expressed through zestful movements of the body to the accompaniment of ballads. Traditional Bhangra is a fusion of music, singing and the beat of the dhol drum, a single stringed instrument called the iktar, the tumbi and the chimta. The accompanying songs are small couplets written in Punjabi language called bolis. This relates to current issues faced by the singers called ‘dil the gal’ what they truly want to say.

Bhangra2 Bhangra has developed as a combination of dances from different parts of the Punjab region. The term "Bhangra" now refers to several kinds of dances and arts, including Jhumar, Luddi, Giddha, Julli, Daankara, Dhamal, Saami, Kikli, and Gatka. Jhumar, originally from Sandalbar, Punjab, comprises an important part of Punjab folk heritage. It is a graceful dance, based on a specific Jhumar rhythm. Dancers circle around a drum player while singing a soft chorus.

A person performing the Luddi dance places one hand behind his head and the other in front of his face, while swaying his head and arms. He typically wears a plain loose shirt and sways in a snake-like manner. Like a Jhumar dancer, the Luddi dancer Pao Banghra 6 at Cornell Universitymoves around a dhol player. Women have a different and much milder dance called Giddha. The dancers enact verses called bolis, representing a wide variety of subjects - everything from arguments with a sister-in-law to political affairs. The rhythm of the dance depends not only the drums, but also on the handclaps of the dancers. Daankara is a dance of celebration, typically performed at weddings. Two men, each holding colorful staves, dance around each other in a circle while tapping their sticks together in rhythm with the drums.  Dancers also form a circle while performing Dhamal. They also hold their arms high, shake their shoulders and heads, and yell and scream. Dhamal is a true folk-dance, representing the heart of Bhangra. Women of dholthe Sandalbar region traditionally are known for the Saami. The dancers dress in brightly colored kurtas and full flowing skirts called lehengas. Like Daankara, Kikli features pairs of dancers, this time women. The dancers cross their arms, hold each other’s hands, and whirl around singing folk songs. Occasionally four girls join hands to perform this dance. Gatka is a Punjabi Sikh martial art in which people use swords, sticks, or daggers. Historians believe that the sixth Sikh guru started the art of gatka after the martyrdom of fifth guru, Guru Arjan Dev. Wherever there is a large Khalsa Punjabi Sikh population, there will be Gatka participants, often including small children and adults. These participants usually perform Gatka on special Punjabi holidays. In addition to these different dances, a Bhangra performance typically contains many energetic stunts. The most popular stunt is called the moor, or peacock, in which a dancer sits on someone’s shoulders, while another person hangs from his torso by his legs. Two-person towers, pyramids, and various spinning stunts are also popular

Tomorrow, we shall cover costumes required for Bhangra.

58 jaaved jaafferi For some time Jaaved Jaafferi sported a beard and we almost got used to seeing him in that look until two weeks back when he came all clean shaven, we realized how good he looks in his new look. I must say Jaaved looks really great clean shaven although the bearded look does suit him too but a clean shave makes a world of difference.

We are a fan blog and we observe everything especially when it comes to our favorite judges. And so a thought came to my mind of introducing a new segment to this blog which will talk about the colors our dear judges will be sporting including beard or no beard. :D Although I am sure when it comes to colors, we will have repeated articles on Black, White and Beige but who knows we might see some other colors too as this segment proceeds so that we can talk about the significance of colors but not going too much superstitious about it but definitely keeping the lighter side up just for fun sake.

feng-shui-bagua Feng Shui says every color has its own significance. It says: Early in the morning when we see a newly opened flower in our garden, our heart is filled with joy and happiness. A white lily touches our soul for its serenity. A red rose with its vibrant energy and elicits a feeling of love. So why are these feelings evoked? It is because each flower reflects a different color, causing it to have a unique hue that affects us in different ways. Feng Shui uses this natural magic of colors to transform in our life.

If you ask me do I believe in all this then the answer will “no” but what are we loosing to look at it in a different perspective right?

53 jaaved Now coming back to beard - Fashions changed over the generations. In present times beards are for most men a fashion only and for some it is still a religious rule. In past, beards were very popular and every male you use to see came with thick moustache and beards as a manly look. But in modern times it’s only an exception then the rule. It is more of a fashion. They say a beard can look good but depends on a persons face. It doesn’t suit everyone. But for Jaaved Jaafferi, he looks good with beard or without beard. A beard brings out his intellectual self and also highlights his eyes. But a clean shave on him makes him look lot younger, stylish, hip, and friendly.

By the way, if you like or dislike this segment, please feel free to comment as we really would love to hear your input – every comment, every suggestion will help us improve this site. So please feel free to write.

As for Mr. Jaaved Jaafferi, please sport the clean shave. You look AWESOME in a clean shave!!

tweety My side where I live it’s pretty cold today and also there is some mischief in air and that puts me to my mischievous self. ;) I actually wanted to write an article about Bhangra and gaining some knowledge but since the atmosphere is such so I am going to skip the knowledge part and take a break from serious writing. Let’s do some mischief today – what do you all say? Well, I will just take your silence as “Yes” ;)

just kidding Since the time this website started, the one common message or email that we came across from many was dance aspirants inquiring or searching for Boogie Woogie Auditions. “I want to participate” are the most common words that I heard in my life. Well its natural as Boogie Woogie is the best dance show ever and so it is natural for one to dream to participate on its highly respectable platform. Nothing wrong in it! And so I have been truthfully and honestly replying to everyone’s message with some tips or for what they need to do. But today a thought came across to my mind what if we don’t do what we are supposed to and do something that what we are not suppose to then what?? What other ways can be there to reach Boogie Woogie sets or the Boogie Woogie guys? Hmm.. interesting haa?? Let’s see what wildest ideas we can come across. If you get any wild ideas, do send them across. But here is a warning – this article is only for fun. DO NOT TAKE IT SERIOUSLY - I don’t want to get killed please - at least not before few of my own dreams are met of course ;)

Ahem Ahem!!

happiness Well let’s assume a participant has prepared himself or herself for a 2 minute dance audition and has 2-3 songs ready. He or She has followed all the rules and regulations and are abiding them. But the problem the person facing is that no one picks the phones for auditions and time is running out. A video CD has also been sent long time ago and again no response. Well it’s bound to happen as there is 1 billion plus population in India and not counting the other Indians who reside abroad and who want to participate too so there surely will be floods of video CD’s or inquiries for auditions. So what can one do to bypass this long queue?

By the way for this article let me disclose my name – I am Albert Pinto and I live in Mumbai. Any questions or concerns, please feel free to comment. Ok back to crazy tips!

  • Everyone has Videocon Boogie Woogie physical address – put a camp right in front of their building and start living there. “ek ghar banaoga tere ghar ke saamne”
  • See what time Ravi and Naved arrives to the studios – just make an observation first.
  • Get some good loud speakers and keep your audio ready to be played for the next time they arrive.
  • Next day, as soon as the judges arrive, jump right in front of their vehicle, play your music and start dancing. You only will be wasting 2 of their minutes so it shouldn’t be a big deal. Give your audition to the best. Mesmerize them with your performance.
  • Find out the results right then and there and see if you get a chance to perform in the show.
  • If results are positive well and good or else prepare for plan ‘B’
  • Plan ‘B’ – Next day perform another number and if still a ‘No’ then hand over to them a list of things that you can do – for example: Wash their dishes, sweep the floor, do the laundry, cook food for them especially Rajma Chawal.
  • If still a ‘No’ then keep showing up at the studio gate till the answer turns out to be ‘Yes’.
  • If cops are called, don’t worry – take it positively.
  • If you land up in jail, make sure to carry an Ipod with you so that you can practice your dance in jail. One mustn’t stop practicing no matter what.
  • If the policemen beats you up, take it positively again. This way you will learn new steps of how to dance with a soar backside. For all you may know, you might come out a master and teach the new skills learned and earn a fortune.
  • Once you are out of Jail, you must visit studios to repeat steps from one to end – Don’t give up!
  • If it’s life imprisonment – again take it positively. Think of how many more skills you can learn by just being in jail – there is always a sunny side to everything.
  • If God forbid, it turns out to be the last day of life – think of it as all worth it!! A life well lived! :D

Hope my mind blowing ideas will help you reach your dream auditions.

Adios Amigos!! Take good care of yourself and stay cheerful!

2 naache taare zameen par 1 videocom boogie woogie First of all I am very sorry for the delay in review of Saturday’s Boogie Woogie - Naache Taare Zameen Par. As they say its always better to be late then never so even though I am a day or more late but I bring you the review and have hunt down for the videos as a late gift. Don’t ask me how I did but Saturday’s episode is something that shouldn’t be missed by anyone. In one word, it was “AWESOME”. What a talent these kids have - amazing. And apart from talent the show as usual was very informative, educational and inspiring. Boogie Woogie - I am very proud of you guys!!

3 ravi behl and naved jaafferi 15 jaaved jaafferi The show started with a funny shayari by Ravi and Naved. Both of them threw punches at each other in their own funny poetic way making the atmosphere lighter as it was elimination day. Then Javed joined them in his own style bringing some more humor to the show. They also showed how Saroj ji taught the kids and gave the kids some priceless tips.

29 sanoy dev 30 sanoy dev The first participant to start the show was Sanoy Dev who came in as Yana Gupta and danced on Babuji zara dheere chalo. His moves, expressions, and style were simply superb. Its so amazing the way he copied a girl in all the latka jhatkas. He was totally adorable. He surely has danced better then Yana. Must watch. Actually I am going to stop writing must watch as Saturdays each and every performance is a must watch and there is no doubt about it. He got good comments from the judges. He looked like a cute girl all the way except that when he sat down on the chair then he was just like a boy and that cracked me up. Okay now comes the funny part. Sanoy’s mother sang couple of lines of “Tune oh rangeele kaisa jadoo kiya” and on this Ravi couldn’t stop smiling where as both Javed and Naved controlled their laugh. It was cute and adorable.

37 sanjana bamrada 47 sanjana The next participant was little Sanjana Bamrada who is full of talent and she came in as Salman Khan - an actor who is my favorite along with the Boogie Woogie guys ;) Sanjana danced fabulously and her steps and energy were mind blowing. You know people should thank their star that I am not a judge or else all the contestants who dance on Salman numbers, I would declare them as winners. Okay jokes apart, Sanjana not only dances excellently but is adorable talker. Watch her performance and her after performance talk, its totally entertaining.

Nupur Bhatt came in at this point for a spoof and narrated a funny shayari on Naved.

52 naved jafri 51 nupur bhatt 53 naved jafri

55 kumkum gujar 62 kumkum gujar Third participant to carry the show forward was little Kumkum Gujar. This 6 year old came in as Rishi Kapoor and danced so fabulously. I don’t think Rishi Kapoor dances this cutely. Her performance makes you smile continuously and her expressions make you awe in praise. For me it gets difficult to remember something in full and I always wonder how perfectly these 5 and 6 year olds remember entire dance performance and also dances them so well. There is surely a lot elders can learn from these kids. Her after performance was again adorable especially the rift between her and Viren. Another must is her riddle that she asked Javed - it was totally hilarious.

71 shivalika dhait 72 shivalika dhait Next participant is someone I really admire - Shivalika Dhait. She came in as Anil Kapoor. She is an excellent dancer there is no doubt about it but as her name was announced, I really was waiting for her after performance humor poetry. But back to her dance, she danced flawlessly and one could feel the beats with her dance. Her going in circles was again superb and made me dizzy. Here comes the informative part where they talked about her town of where it is located. I did not know that before so thanks Boogie Woogie. Also they talked about how the cable company has been broadcasting Boogie Woogie on a big projector so that those who do not have the privilege to see the show from their homes, they can see their little Shivalika adding charm to their town. Now comes the part that I had been waiting anxiously - Shivalika’s poetry. She narrated 3 short poems excellently. I am very soon going to have a collection of her poems for this blog for sure!

87 viren raj baraik 92 viren raj baraik Now comes the super talented kid - Viren Raj Baraik. I have a very strong feeling, this kid has all the potential to win the Naache Taare Zameen Par trophy. He danced flawlessly and when he dances, you just do nothing but admire. He danced to the song Yeh mera dil pyar ka diwana and came in as Helen. Except for one step, rest of the steps were awesome. The one dance step that I am talking about, girls will never do. If you see his dance you will notice which step I am talking about. :D Again the after performance talk was hilarious.

Sanjana Bamrada came in with her hilarious spoof and this time it was Ravi’s turn to take the hit.

93 94 95

102 rashmi kunder 103 rashmi kunder The last participant for tonight is the one who is creating waves on Internet. Along with Swasti Nitya, the next popular name on internet is Rashmi Kunder. This girl in two words is “Mind Blowing”. Watch her dance tonight and I have no words that are good enough to write for her. She is absolutely stunning and maybe the winner. We will just have to wait and watch her in future rounds but if this is the way she performs then she has it all! The after performance talk between Rashmi and Javed makes one feel proud. Javed raised a very good point and talked about common language and unified identity for all Indians and I fully agree with Javed. We will talk about this in detail later. But Boogie Woogie inspires me and inspires many millions in becoming a good citizen and I am very proud of them!

107 khushbo 113 Now comes the painful part - the eliminations. Good news is that only one gets eliminated and bad news is the only one unfortunate kid who didn’t get a chance to go forward to next rounds was little Khushbu Kargutkar - just a reminder, she had danced as Charlie Chaplin. She got a gift and had fat tears in her eyes on getting eliminated. In my opinion, I think the toughest job is to judge kids and more tough is to announce the elimination results and I don’t know how they do that but I really do admire them. Next week Naache Taare Zameen Par will continue for the remaining kids and with the theme round.

Have a goodnight folks!

101 Boogie Woogie’s Naache Taare Zameen Par started their most exciting round from this week. I was very eager to see how the change of gender performances will be for these little kids and yes I was in for a big surprise. I have seen in many reality shows, contestants dressed as opposite gender to perform and many at times it turns out to be funny so I had similar expectations out of this episode too. But I am warning you, its nothing like that. It will be performances that will beat the history of shows with mind blowing performances. In two words - MUST WATCH!!

A clip was shown where the semi finalists paid a surprise visit to Saroj Khan and she taught them or gave them the valuable tips to perform. And the difference was clearly seen with kids. Each of them came with perfection. There is no wonder Saroj Khan is the master of all times. God bless her!

13 10 Saroj Khan 14

18 vaishnavi patil 26 vaishnavi patil The first contestant she tore the stage apart and she was 8 year old Vaishnavi Patil who got a theme “Govinda” and she dressed in little dhoti and kurta with short hair and danced on song “kya lagti hai hye rabba”. Her steps were fantastic, her expressions and everything that she did was nothing but flawless. She received excellent comments from Javed and both Ravi and Naved were happy with her performance. Her after performance talk was hilarious where she said she doesn’t like Saif Ali Khan because he is going to marry Kareena Kapoor. She wants Kareena to marry Shahid. Kids are so cute :D She completely stole the show tonight. Her’s was the best performance. Must watch!!

40 sayalee tupe 39 sayalee tupe The next contestant that came was Sayalee Tupe. This 6 year old got Sharukh Khan as theme and she danced on Khayike paan banaras waala. I dont know what Sharukh will do when he sees this performance but I sure advice him to appoint little Sayalee as his dance teacher. Her expressions were so much better then Sharukh and yes I am going to say this - She can anytime give a run to Sharukh! ;) Her after performance talk was as adorable as she is. Watch it :D

64 phalguni bhardwaj 59 phalguni bhardwaj Phalguni Bhardwaj was the next semi finalist who came in as Amitabh Bachan and this 6 year old danced on song “Pag ghungroo band meera naachi thi”. With Phalguni’s dance, the sets of Boogie Woogie turned into a big party hall. You could clearly hear audience cheering little Phalguni. Okay but the most interesting part came after her performance where she took on her favorite judge Naved and narrated couple of jokes on him. She came up with some of the poor jokes (PJ’s) in history. But you know what Naved - you look the best the way you are now. We love you dearly ;)

93 khushbo kargutkar 85 khushboo kargutkar Next participant to come was little Khushboo Kargutkar who came in as Charlie Chaplin. This 8 year old danced cutely on yesteryears golden Kishore number “Cheel cheel chilake” She danced adorably but probably if she had come in as Kishore Kumar it would have been better with the song and her dance steps. But that is only me don’t pay attention. She got good comments from judges.

91 javed naved But the best thing I have to say again - Boogie Woogie is not just an entertaining show or reality show to show case the talent they come across but it is a complete institution. They teach the good stuff, they teach manners, they bring out the best talent, they correct the mistakes in their own way, they teach you the real life lessons, they show and teach respect and they talk the truth. When little Khushboo wrote her opinion that girls should be beautiful on that Javed explained to her using his kind and perfect words why looks are not important and how the person’s personality should matter. These are the things that can never be seen in any other shows especially reality shows. I love Boogie Woogie and I love the judges there. God bless them!

104 swasti nitya 110 swasti nitya Okay now is the turn of Boogie Woogie’s little star who is doing superhit rounds all over the net - Swasti Nitya. This 5 year old came in as Mehmood and was dressed in lungi banyan with cute little moustache. She couldn’t get any more cuter then this. She danced on song “Hum kaale hai toh kya huya dil waale hai”. A hit number from yesteryear that brought my city to limelight ;) Watch her run on the stage lifting her lungi in Mehmood style, watch her expressions, watch her steps - this 5 year old is can anytime make the celebrity dancers on other reality shows hide their faces in shame. oops did I say that? ;) I thoroughly enjoyed her performance and so far after Vaishnavi Patil, this was the performance that came close to my heart. Listen to her after performance talk - totally adorable. Listen to her Amma, she was really awesome too!

117 madhav wazalwar 118 madhav wazalwar Just when I thought Boogie Woogie can’t get any better then this, the next participant came in tonight and he is another superhit hero out of Boogie Woogie sets - Madhav Wazalwar. He was dressed up as Sushmita Sen and this 7 year old was - Oh MY God!! Watch him!!! He danced on “Shakalaka baby”. He looked a cute little glamorous babe. My salute to Boogie Woogie for bringing out such awesome talent. I am going to try my best to hunt for this video for you. Watch him sit like a girl watch him talk and watch him run towards judges to give them a hug. Hilarious but adorable.

138 nupur bhatt 145 nupur bhatt The last participant of the evening was Nupur Bhatt and she came in as Akshay Kumar. This 9 year old danced to Chandni Chowk to China and was dressed in Chinese attire. She had big moustache and gave wonderful expressions. Her steps and dance was good but had a mix of both girls and guys steps. Listen to Javed speak in Chinese. After performance talk was hilarious especially the rift between the girls and the lonely boy. Nupur treated her judges some ladoos and with this the episode today ended with the promise to bring another 6 contestants tomorrow before they go into theme round next week.

Have a wonderful night folks!!
