jai They say sometimes one life is not enough to live the good times. And same way I feel one article is not enough to write for the multi talented Jai Kumar Nair.

As I pay him tribute, I also want the members of this website to relive the moment that we witnessed last year. Writing on Jai and not being able to see his dance videos would leave the article incomplete.

So here I am attaching some of the videos - I am sure you will not only enjoy but all my members who wish to be on Boogie Woogie will surely get inspired by him. There is lots to learn from this young champion. He can be a perfect role model.

Enjoy!!

Has it ever happened to you that you saw someone dance and you were awe and full of praises that you didn’t wanted the performance to ever end? Did you ever went YouTubing and spent all night watching many dance performances of same person? Well I did! And I am not making up for the sake of the article.

3 Last year during Mahayudh, I totally cherished all of his performances. It was no surprise to see him lift the trophy with his co participant to win the title. And since then until now, though the performances are still fresh on my mind, I browsed through his YouTube videos another time so that I can be precise in putting this article together. It was 10 in night when I started watching his videos and when I realized I would be late for next days work and that I must shut my computer down, it was past 4 am. I then realized that I was totally lost in watching that I lost out on time. Yes that is the effect he has on you. He is totally mesmerizing. He personified his aura on us last year and left us speechless.

Yes my friends I am talking about none other then Jai Kumar Nair – Naam toh suna hoga?

BoogieWoogieIndia.Com is very proud to pay its tribute to this multi talented and very well deserving gentleman.

009 Jai started his dance at a very young age at about 10. With his sheer determination and hard work he is stepping faster towards his goal. At this young age where he witnessed success and gained great applauds, he still has his head over his shoulder and has his foot firmly on ground. He is modest, down to earth yet stylish and he is a bundle of great talent and when he dances, he can easily lift your spirits up!

Not many know but Jai is also a very talented musician and composer. He composes his own music and also is an awesome singer. He is a promising upcoming artist who I feel will surely make it big one day!

2Talking about his individuality and talent he says: “I have fire in my belly to succeed and with support from home I followed my dream. Starting of my initial career with performances locally and then jumping on to a bigger stage which took me all over India and parts of the world with professionals alike made me more confident, and fired up a passion of being one of the best in the field of dance which included Indo-Jazz, Funk, Hip Hop, Disco, Contemporary, Afro-Jazz, Rock ‘n’ Roll, Salsa & many more”

After winning the “Mahayudh” title, he got an offer for a movie. BoogieWoogieIndia is pleased to announce that his first movie “Fast Forward” is all set to release this year.

Rehaan KhanAkshay Kapoor Fast Forward is a musical venture of Anjum Rizvi which has been directed by Zaigham Ali Sayed. It also features Rehaan Khan and Akshay Kapoor. We hope and pray that this movie turn out to be a blockbuster hit and opens up many channels for Jai.

One of Jai’s dreams is to open a Music Academy. He does not belong to that category of people who would keep their skills hidden and don’t want to pass it on to others. He thinks differently. He feels knowledge grows only when it is spread. He never hesitates to learn new stuff and always feel there is room for improvement. He has worked hard towards his dreams and has opened up a dance school called “WOW! WITH JUZJAi”. He also added three more centers to his school in West Mumbai that will start from this September 30th 2008.

11 Jai recently also graced a Spring Salsa event called “Spring in the Air” that was held at “The Orchids”. The others to accompany him at this event were Suresh Menon, Amrita Prakash. Jai celebrated Malayalam New Year with the Mexican colors in Mumbai.

DNA - WEST COAST - 6th June 2007 On behalf of BoogieWoogieIndia.Com, We like to Congratulate Jai! It is pure honor to pay him tribute today. “Jai - we wish you success and the Very Best of Best in all your Endeavors. May you fulfill all your dreams and do remember – WE ARE VERY PROUD OF YOU!!”

BoogieWoogieIndia.Com also has decided to sponsor two deserving candidates to learn dance at “WOW WITH JUZJAI”. To find out the credibility criteria, you may email at sansuiboogiewoogie@gmail.com or contact Jai. The basic concept behind this sponsoring is to help deserving candidates who have the skills and determination to learn the art but do not have finances to join a good school.

Remember to Dream – they do come true!!

Watch out the first teaser for his upcoming movie “Fast Forward”

Saturday saw another round of fabulous performances by the remaining 5 contestants. The best thing that I observed was Boogie Woogie now supplied all of the costumes, dancers and themes along with their own choreographers. This time around the contestants only had to show their skills and work hard to clear the elimination round aiming at Semi Finals.

Today the five contestants who performed were:

7 Grishma Yadav who performed on a “Mime” theme. She portrayed a beautiful concept of girls birth in her dance. Her make up, costume and the dancers accompanied her complimented perfectly. A very impressive show but the only problem I found was she didn’t know what she performed and said she did because it was in the theme. Well we will talk about it another time. Enjoy her performance - its worth watching!

19 The next contestant to come was Sahil Tyagi who got “Tap Dance” as his theme. A very well dressed Sahil not only did justice to his theme but also showed fabulous energy in his performance. His style - Voila!! You are going to love this performance. He danced on song “Sach Kahna”.

32 Bijal Barot was the next one to perform and she was given “Play group kids” as theme. Now here is something that I am confused about. If the contestants were given themes then why did the choreographers made them practice something that didn’t match the theme? What Bijal performed was really looking like mental hospital patients instead of play kids at school as the judges said so who is to be blamed for this performance? Anyway she is great dancer and her after performance was heart touching when she cried on missing her grand parents.

43 Khushbu Kadam was given “Lawni” as theme. Please pardon me if I did a spelling mistake in the name. You can always correct me. But she was given Maharashtran dance as her theme and was dressed perfectly to the theme. Her dance steps matched her energy and overall it was fabulous performance. The only complain I have again here is the contestants are not well prepared. She did not know what the wordings meant in the song. I feel Boogie Woogie show is par in its excellence and the contestants performing should and must prepare themselves with all the knowledge required for the number they are performing after all they are in Boogie Woogie.

48 Last one to come was Abhash Mukherjee who got “Hip Hop” as his theme and he put in a wonderful mind blowing performance. I loved his dance and I feel he took the cake in today’s episode. I think Abhash, Farhina and Sahil are three kids who are the best of best among this category and may compete in finals but then there is still plenty of time so lets wait and watch as anything can happen in future rounds.

36 Now comes the painful part - the elimination which unfortunately was written for Bijal Barot. She took very sportingly and displayed her smile even though tears kept rolling her eyes. My heart goes out for her but then as this is competition and only one can win so here we are wishing Bijal the very best of best for all her future endeavors. May she return to Boogie Woogie with mind blowing performances and win the trophy. But for now - Bijal, Well Done!! We are proud of you! And remember we love you!

Today’s episode was simply mind blowing!!

Since only 10 participants are left, it now looks like there will be only one elimination per week. That is good news. It is always sad to see two sad faces leave the show.

Today’s episode was well choreographed and the Boogie Woogie dancers accompanied the contestants in their individual theme performances.

26 First one to start the show with her performance was Sria Shalini Sahu. Please forgive me if there are any spelling mistakes in the name as I note down as they sound. Well she was given Indo Western theme and she was dressed in Bharatnatyam/ kuchipudi costume and performed on various bollywood hits. It was marvelous performance. I will try to get you MP3 later.

36Next one to perform was sweet Tulika Tripati who got Mujra theme. She too performed on couple of mujra songs. She was very well dressed in the anaarkali atire and the dancers of Boogie Woogie complimented her to the perfection. Her expressions and smile was awesome.

47 Isha Dang - the little angel who does lot of charity work gave an excellent performance. She was given “Festivals of India” theme and she danced to few festive numbers. She was dressed in Kurta paijama with red chunri and complimented her dance very well. The steps she takes are note worthy.

54 Adhaar Kaul from Jammu always crack me up with his numbers. He is a real comedian and tonight he gave an absolutely adorable performance. He got “Comedy” as his theme and he performed on couple of numbers like “Pappu cant dance saala” and on Salman song “ay ay jaanejaana”. He put a little spoof there in his performance which made everyone roll with laughter. The best thing about Adhaar is that he does all the mischief that he wants to do and once he finishes his performance oh boy what a innocent look he puts on his face. Watch his video - you will surely enjoy.

65 Now the last participant to come is the little energetic wonder “Farheena Parvez”. I hear lot of people are already becoming her fan. This little wonder gives a performance that matches to the par. She was given “Club songs” as her theme and she danced with the big boys of Boogie Woogie and I must tell you - her performance from no angle sounded less then a professional choreographed number. Hats off to her. I totally adored this performance and she does take the cake away as the best performer of the evening.

Saturday another 5 kids will be performing and out of these 10, one will get eliminated.

Enjoy the videos!!

7 Since the Kids Championship started, Javed was missing from show. He was busy in his shootings and even though Naved and Ravi carried the show very well but there was something that was clearly missing from the show. Yes that was Javed!! Today it looked like the life was back. It makes a huge difference to the show when the awesome trio is together and if any one of them goes missing then that leaves the show little incomplete.

We saw many guests coming in for Boogie Woogie Kids Championship to take place of Javed’s absence but what magic Javed could bring to the show, none of the others could do.

23 And what an entry!!! Viola!! I was waiting for so long to see Javed dance. It was a perfect entry. He danced little with the kids. All die hard fans of Javed I am sure must have whistled tonight. It was a beautiful entry. I personally think every week before they start the show, they must do a little performance themselves. That would definitely be an awesome treat to the fans of Boogie Woogie.

Javed talked about his shootings and said even though he was away for few weeks and travelled abroad, he did follow Boogie Woogie and kept a close watch on the show.

Welcome Back Javed!! It was real pleasure seeing you back. Good Wishes for all your upcoming movies. Hope they turn out to be blockbuster hits!

Do you feel your confidence is low today? Did you ever felt others are better then you?

Well you know what before you think more on those terms let me tell you something that my dad always said. “God has made each one of us with one special quality that the other does not possess so each one of us is unique in our own.”

Always feel great about yourself. Be thankful to God. And as for the other minor stuff, we can always work on it to improve.

This week we are going to talk about on how to improve or boost our self confidence.

Here are few tips:

  • First try to pick a role model for yourself. One person whom you think has immense self confidence. Try to think what that person is doing that makes him or her look confident. How do they do that?
  • The most important thing you can start off is to focus on your own achievements then to think badly about the failures that you had. Try to think of all the right things that you did – doesn’t matter if it was for simple daily routine. I am sure you have done many rights then the wrongs you look at. So feel good about your self.
  • Try acting! Think if you were a self confident person how you would react? Do role plays of a self confident person. You will feel more confident with this act practice.
  • Have you ever thought what your friends like you for? If you have many friends or just one friend, why do they like you? There surely has to be something that they like in you or else you wouldn’t had these friends right? So focus on who you are and what is that you like about yourself.
  • They say practice makes a man perfect. Do your homework well. Prepare your task well enough so that there wont be any mistakes and you wont loose your confidence.
  • Take a day out to yourself. Think what skills do you possess and what is your goal. What do you need to get trained at that it will take you closer to your goal. Nobody is perfect in this world and nobody is all learned. We need to improve ourselves and learn new things as we grow with time. We need to adapt to newer technologies and gain knowledge to keep ourselves up to the level. So chart down you needs and wants and start working on them.
  • Learn to Relax! Many times we set such tough schedules for ourselves that we don’t have any time to relax. We get stressed and stress can anytime lower your confidence level. Take little time out just for yourself and try to relax.
  • Even though I have not seen you but I can bet you got one of those million dollar smiles. So smile and stand up straight! Makes a difference in your confidence level.
  • Set reachable goals for yourself and if you have goals that are difficult then break them into smaller parts. Put them in different levels. Aim for first level and once you achieve that then shoot for next one.
  • Last but not least – Try not to be too competitive or compare yourself with others. Be yourself!! Accept that life is not a race against others but your self confidence depends on you and your own personal needs.

Baby Sometimes by talking you may know what you need and where and how you can improve yourself. Find a friend with whom you can discuss your dreams, someone who will not be make fun of your dreams and will understand you. Believe me no dreams no life! So don’t shy away from talking about your dream goal. If you don’t have a friend, then don’t worry. This is your own home – you can always talk anything you want. We are here to help you. So take good care of yourself!
