Many at times life gets us to a point where we either start something new or find ourselves continuing what we enjoy doing the most. Life they say is uncertain and brings us many surprises from time to time but for us at Boogie Woogie India, December 28 is neither a surprise nor an uncertain day. It is a very much adored day and it is as big as any festival. It’s the birthday of the host and the dost, the mentor, the judge, the dancer, the actor, the gem of a person from every angle and a good human being – Naved Jafri!!

We wish Naved Jafri “A Very Happy Birthday” from bottom of our hearts and we pray to God to shower him with his utmost choicest blessings. May he live a million healthy and wealthy years and may his all dreams come true! Amen!

We hope year 2011 brings you back on the small screen as we miss you a lot. Please do know that you are never out of mind even when you are out of sight – WE LOVE YOU NAVED!!

Just like any delicious dish that needs some garnering to be complete, Boogie Woogie too had a tadka in Kids Championships right from their come back episode.

If we are not wrong then all Boogie Woogie fans were very happy to see a female host in beginning of Celebration episodes and nothing could make Boogie Woogie fans happier then to see our own “Jassi” Mona Singh compering the show along with Naved and Ravi. She brought all the required takda that was much needed in the show and made viewers realize that both Ravi and Naved look their best when there is a female host or guest to accompany them.

Past weeks again witnessed couple of female guests whether they were in form of beautiful Amma ji, Roshni or Suhaasi – all were cherished by the audiences and we loved the tadka and hoping that it continues with time. Whether celebrity or non celebrity doesn’t really matter but a female definitely added more colors to our boys and to the show. We felt few more positive changes and that is both Naved and Ravi are no longer hesitant to shake hands or give a friendly hug to the female guests on air in compared with their earlier shows where they only nodded from a distance.

“Now that’s what we call a improvement!” Bravo!! Keep it up! We sure think our boys are now ready for a new chapter in their life and so the tadka is very much a superhit among us audiences and fans. We like to see some more tadka week after week with positive energy. Bring it on Baby!!

Everyone wants a pie of success. And so looks for the same reason, UTV has now joined hands with R & N Productions (the baby of Ravi Behl, Naved and Javed Jaffery) to produce the immensely popular Boogie Woogie.

“Boogie Woogie would now be a joint venture of R& N productions and UTV,” confirms Ajay Balwankar, the programming head for Sony. Talking about the reasons for such a decision, he further adds, “This is purely to improve the production infrastructure and the quality of the show.”

Balwankar also confirms there would be no changes in the concept and Ravi, Naved and Javed will continue being an active part of the show.

Ravi and Naved remained unavailable for comment.

Boogie Woogie India Fan Blog celebrates its Second Anniversary today on July 11th 2010. It is an honor to be a fan blog and continue to shower our dedication, love and support for the most deserving and adorable show.

Though we slacked in couple of months but we stood true from the bottom of our heart for Boogie Woogie and its judges. As our anniversary gift to ourselves, we plan to bring our articles, show summaries back in action!

Boogie Woogie India has witnessed 300 percent plus growth in one year even though the show was off and the site had limited articles. This was possible due to the name that is linked with “Boogie Woogie” and so the innumerous growth of visitors kept increasing day by day. We sincerely thank “Boogie Woogie” and all our visitors, members for their contribution and for visiting us everyday. Thank You Very Much!!

“Dancing with the feet is one thing, but dancing with the heart is another.” Happy Anniversary All!!

First we apologize for being late with our write up for last weeks episodes of Boogie Woogie come back. It has already been over two weeks that Boogie Woogie celebrated its glorious 15 year celebrations and little hard to believe that Boogie Woogie’s biggest fan website had no write up till date. Well we had our reasons. Firstly we still are thinking if that was true or was it just a dream? And secondly we really wanted to wait before we publish any write up on the show. You see many times our articles come out strong in favor of Boogie Woogie. So this time around, we wanted to wait and see if we feel the same after watching other dancing shows that are going on other television channels. We felt since more then half of the crowd are all ex Boogie Woogieans on other shows, the comparison and competition should be at par. But Boogie Woogie again surprises us with a clean sweep in their unique talent search and the quality of their dances. If you watched Boogie Woogie, and then watch another dance show, you only end up having a luke warm feeling for other dancing shows. The dances are hardcore on Boogie Woogie and even though the participants come from remote of places, the standard is totally untouchable!

Well, Boogie Woogie Kids Championships, the start was fabulous with all three judges starting the show with their performance. 9 month wait for the show was really like a new life but with a lot of zeal and energy. Judges announced there were going to be two elimination weeks and about 40 kids would participate to try out their luck with only half of the kids qualifying for the next round.

The 19 super kids that participated in week one were:

All kids came with performances that left a great impact on its audiences. Their talent was not at par but way exceeded the talent that is seen on other shows and these little tots came with a zeal to set a totally new record for times to come – a record that is only possible on Boogie Woogie!

After fabulous performances, the final 9 contestants that were declared to enter into the next round were:

There was a surprise element that Boogie Woogie introduced and that was “Energetic Performance of the Day” announcement for both Wednesday and Thursday. For Week 1, Adil Khan for Wednesday and Priya Barman for Thursday were declared “Energetic Performers of the Day”.

Audience love Boogie Woogie and there is no doubt about it at all! And so with the 15 year celebrations of Boogie Woogie, it was time for audience to celebrate especially those with their loyalty. Boogie Woogie has the best of audience who not only love to watch the show but also wait for it eagerly while the show makes its comeback. We wouldn’t want to call them lucky because they have worked for every penny of praise they get today. Respect, adoration is not build due to any silly infatuations nor due to impulse decisions. It takes time to seep in into peoples heart but once it gets seeped in then nothing can take it out. The feeling is genuine. Boogie Woogie’s standards and their unique talent show has won millions of hearts and accolades. And so yes - if Boogie Woogie has the most wonderful audience today then they truly deserve it. Last week celebrations saw excited audience who not only welcomed the show but were ecstatic to watch the celebrations! And we are proud to say “we” fans of this blog are very much among those ecstatic viewers!

The celebrations turned out to be everything that we FANS really hoped for. It talked wide and clear of what the show stands for – being Number ONE and of course with its proper explanations!! There were many moments that made Boogie Woogie fans feel not only proud but also gave them the Goosebumps watching the show.  

Coming to the show, as everyone knows that since the time Boogie Woogie started, it not only offered a great platform for the dancers to show case their talent, but many got recognized from the same platform and are stars and superstars today. Some also got helped silently in lifting their careers up in their show business graph. 

Friday night celebrations, if the show, the judges and the performances were the cake then Mona Singh was the icing who hosted for the evening. A very pleasant surprise of course. We would like to talk about Mona Singh in a separate article as we cannot sum her up in just few sentences.

Fans always wondered about the disappearance of the show but this was very nicely answered in form of humor as always by both Ravi and Naved who showed themselves walking out from the jail after some misunderstanding. We feel one really has to learn the knack of answering the way the guys do in totally humor style reciprocating to viewers questions and calming down the restless souls.

Celebrations saw the top performances of both Boogie Woogie stars celebrities and also of other Celebrities. It was one fun filled, beautiful and thrilling evening that shouldn’t have been missed by anyone. The big night started with Ravi and Naved’s performance dancing on song “Boogie Woogie ka Jalwa”. Both lyrics and singing was perfect for the night and the dancing was sweet surprise – something that makes you whistle. We don’t think mimicry can ever be out of Boogie Woogie and so was a big part even for the celebrations. Whether it was Jaaved, Naved, Ravi or Mona or the perfecto stand up comedian who steals your heart – Sudesh – all made their audience split with laughter.

The celebrations were a big thing and for real. It surely cannot be summed up in one article and so we shall continue with the tributes that were paid to Boogie Woogie by various artists in our next article.

After its long break, Boogie Woogie is all set to create waves once again among Indian and international audience. We are sure they must be as excited as their loyal fans are and waiting for 9 pm anxiously on this Wednesday for “Boogie Woogie” to go air. So what can be the expectations out of this show? Will they succeed in conquering their audience heart one more time? What will a week day schedule do to the show? Well here are our two cents!

First the most commendable approach that has been noticed is their promotions. Boogie Woogie’s promotions has been the top class this year in compared with the promotions till date! There are many positive attributes in the promotions that should take the show to its successful TRP’s. This is the very first time that Boogie Woogie promotions speak loud and clear for what they stand for royally - “to be the first and the BEST dance talent show ever in Indian history! Promotions also speak about the talent that will be witnessed in the upcoming episodes whether they talk about “Gokul” from Tamil Nadu or other dancers from different states who showcase beautiful dancing skills that should make their audience awe in praise. Looks very Promising Indeed! The other thing that is promising of course is Boogie Woogie’s 15 years celebrations. The celebration promotion came out larger then life – just the way it should be. It speaks wide and clear about its 15 year history and has the capability to attract a lot of newer audience too apart from their loyal viewers. Who ever has planned the promotions has done a remarkable job of course. Bravo!!

We strongly think that Boogie Woogie should benefit from week day schedule too. The general attitude of public these days is to watch TV at home after their work, schools especially 9 pm slot is perfect timing to retire and relax in front of TV before hitting the bed and plus its not too late for kids to watch. Weekends normally are family time and time to go out for parties or anywhere outside home and so very not being in front of TV. We seriously think it is the best thing that happened to Boogie Woogie that it got a week day slot! Another best thing for all those people who wouldn’t want to get glued to the glycerin episodes is to turn to Boogie Woogie. Phew what a relief!!

There were few other noticeable changes that got observed during Boogie Woogie promotions and that was the change in set but we do have to wait to see the show in actual to make out how different the stage really is. Mona Singh was seen a lot in the promotions – is she the host for the celebration episode or for the entire show still remains a question. But whatever may be the case, it is another plus plus change that Boogie Woogie surprised its audience with so whether she is there for just one episode or for all of the episodes, Mona is always welcome with Boogie Woogie fans!

But with many changes in the show, decor and its presentations, the one thing that stayed the same are the judges. Ravi, Naved and Jaaved looked the same humble self and have made their loyal audience feel more proud then before. These three gentlemen give Goosebumps with their humility, patience, approach in life and with their dignity and respect. It is not just 15 years of show that need to be celebrated but Ravi, Naved and Jaaved along with their team needs to be celebrated too.

And so speaking about the demand for Boogie Woogie with the new changed look, it should be more then words can ever describe. Boogie Woogie has made their fans very proud with their comeback and the way they are coming back is commendable. Way to go Boogie Woogie – Keep it up!! It actually looks more of a rebirth for the show and should take it to a newer height that it never reached in past 15 years. We hope Boogie Woogie keeps up with their wonderful new strategy and keeps surprising us week after week for another 15 – 20 more years to come! Lastly, as far as conquering its audience heart one more time, we feel they should not only conquer with ease but should be able to stay there forever. Way to Go Champ!!

Countdown has come down to just 3 more days for Boogie Woogie Dance Show. Well, what can one expect with the comeback of the show? With the promos that are being aired, we sure can say it will be one GALA fair that starts in few days from now.

Boogie Woogie starts this coming Wednesday, May 19th at 9pm and it will be a biweekly airing on every Wednesday and Thursdays.

We all know that Boogie Woogie is coming back after its seasonal break but what came as a pleasant surprise was its “HATKE” announcement! We LOVED it!!

A show that is the father and mother of all reality shows and in real is the first dance reality show of India is always expected to do things that are different from others. After its, rather a little long break, Boogie Woogie fans were really waiting anxiously for its return and we at Boogie Woogie India Fan Blog were hoping for something different then usual. Today, we can proudly say, the announcement of the show was more then what we hoped and as a matter of fact has crossed our expectations making us tremendously happy and now we hope the show in actual when it makes its come back will be at par with this announcement!! Good going Boogie Woogie – Keep it Up!!
